A list of puns related to "Hien"
Hello, I was curious to know if there is gonna be a Artisan Hien slightly bigger and updated. I know that the Xl Hien is really good, but if I have to spend that much I wanna know if relatively soon there is gonna be something better.
And oh my gosh, it made me SO happy!
As soon as I read that the former lord was named "Kaien," I thought, "Ooh! That's got to be a reference to Cyan from FF6!" And of course the references to conquered Doma, etc.
And then Hien turns around and Cyan's theme starts playing. I started grinning ear to ear, and I was literally shaking with utter glee.
I've been a fan of Final Fantasy since the very beginningโplayed the original on the NES when it was new and everything. My favorites in the series are FF4 and FF6. Ever since FF7, though, I've felt like the series was drifting away from the things I loved. (Don't get me wrong, FF7 is a great game in its own right; it just didn't feel like the Final Fantasy I had grown to love over the years.) As the series went on, I found myself less and less interested in playing more. I couldn't begrudge the love that new players were finding for the newer entries in the series; I just felt like I'd been left behind. My love for the series (and Square Enix in general) was tied to those earlier games from the 8-bit and 16-bit era.
And then I played FF14. I'd picked it up a couple years ago and tried it out for a month (sporadically), but I never gave it a real shot until earlier this year. (I guess I'm technically a WoW refugee, although I really stopped playing it in earnest near the end of 2018.) But I started seriously digging into it earlier this year, and I feel so seen. All these subtle references to the games I loved that are clearly put into this game with a love and appreciation for those earlier titles are just beautiful.
Anyway, it was a moment in the game that made me happy, and I appreciate and am grateful for the work that Yoshi-P and his team have put into making a great modern game while still honoring the predecessors that built the franchise in the first place.
Selling off alot of my stuff, but I have even more I am not selling.

So I got an Artisan Hien soft about 2 months ago and I ended up using it only like 2 times because it felt like my GPX Pro was sliding on ice. I like my desk sized mouse pad, but I'm not sure if I'm truly into "control pads". Should I just order the same Glorious pad or should I try something else that's desk sized?
Artisan Hien XL Soft- bought off of here around 2 months ago, condition is pretty good but was a little dirty before I got it. I personally didn't like the speed over my LGG Venus (Used for abt 2 hours personally). $55 Shipped (Sold!)
Modded XM1r (Black)- This has Corepadz for the skates and B.T.L. Grips I purchased it here about 3 months ago and I did not like the shape of this more than the GPX. $60 shipped
Hello! After a long research i am considering one of these 2 mousepads. My aim is to get a mousepad that will last as long as possible, without losing too much speed in time. My initial preference was for hien mid. I chose mid over soft because I believe that a worn out mid will always be faster than a worn out soft.
What scares me about Hien is the difference in speed between the worn out area and the unused sides of the mousepad. I saw a video of this guy showing how, after some time, in the centre the Hien was much slower than the sides.
For this reason I wonder if I should opt for a zero mid instead. I've heard that zero has one of the most consistent glides so my question is: will Zero have such a pronounced difference in speed between the used area and the non used area like the Hien? Will it possibly be even faster than a Hien after a long time?
Anyone who tried these versions for quite some time? I won't consider the Raiden model.

I have been using Hien Mid for several years now and I am starting to transition to Valorant and need a bit more control so I am thinking of switching to Otsu.
I am not sure if I should get the Mid or Soft as I would still like to play fast pace shooters, and I am use to a fast pad.
Any advice?
i am looking for a artisan hien and zero alternative preferably from a "big" brand (reason is a bit hard to explain but you can recommend any brand) i saw that the lethal gaming gear mercury is a good clone? i am also a bit "new" to reddit so if there are simmalair post you could link them
I just ordered the hein mid and after doing more research some people are saying it's like a hard pad I'm coming from a mm350 pro and in wondering if the hein mid has good control? For games like apex legends, valorant and csgo In apex I mostly use the wingman and hit most of my shots( arm aimer 980edpi) will the hein ruin my ability to hit persicely?

So I have seen posts that the mousepad bleeds onto the mouse and desk and other stuff.
Does this happen with the Zero? Or was it just the Hien.
I currently have a Zero Soft and I absolutely love it for VALORANT, CSGO, etc. But I find it a bit slow when I move over to games like Overwatch so I'm thinking of picking up a Hien Soft just for games where I need that extra speed and lower friction. How does the Hien compare to the Zero in terms of overall glide, speed, stopping power and friction? I do have an AC+ White which is fairly nice for OW but I still liked the Zero more because of its stopping power.
I'm also kind of curious how the Hien will perform in VALORANT, though from what I've read I imagine too fast. I'm not sure anything can top the Zero anyway. Endgame pad for me really. I've also heard some whispers about the Hayate Otsu which makes me even more confused. Some people love it and how unique it is while others say the Hien is far superior. Thoughts?
I know that pads like the artisan zero and control pads are usually recommended for tactical fps shooters but i've recently been seeing people using a hien for valorant and wanted to know how it performs/how the experience is from people who've tried it before.
Honestly I've been perfectly happy with my MPC450, been using it ever since they launched the renewed cordura blue. No complaints whatsoever except maybe it gets these white particles/residue on it constantly which I assume is from wearing down mouse skates but not sure. Pretty large particles, not like fine dust. Not a big deal since I lint roller it multiple times a day. I use XM1r with default XM1 skates but also have corepads on the way.
Despite this I still ordered a Hien Soft because I'm not very smart with my financial decisions and also in general. And wanted to treat myself for my birthday lol.
I play mainly Escape from Tarkov which requires some pretty fast swiping and enough control to stop accurately on the target, but no tracking. MPC450 is the fastest pad I've ever used but at least for this game and my playstyle I don't feel like it's too fast, and I feel like I have enough control with it too (well, except maybe for the first few days while I was adjusting to it) . I also love the glide and feeling of the surface.
Do you think the Hien will be alright for me? How comparable is the speed? I know it's probably gonna a be a bit slower, but if it's MUCH slower then I'm a bit worried. Actually the Raiden seemed a bit more appealing to me on paper, but it's restock date wasn't specified on maxgaming so I went with the Hien.
Iโve only ever had a cloth mousepad so I have no reference for how different an artisan pad would feel. Everyone says the hien is the best for its insane tracking but I donโt want my arm getting all scratched up if iโm not wearing sleeves.
Im just wondering how big of a difference in feel there is? Same applies to MID SOFT XSOFT.
Right now Iโm between the Hien and otsu, both soft since I feel like thatโs a good starting point for my first nice pad.
Any thoughts/recommendations?
went completely down the rabbit hole on pads recently, decided at some point in the future Iโll shell out for an artisan.
I play a lot of different shooters, heard that for my style of aiming (wrist only, very high sens, idk my cm/360 but my valorant sens is .45 1600dpi so maybe 18cmish?) I should look for a fast pad.
EDIT: the pad I use rn is some rly mediocre deskmat, havenโt tried many other pads but def on the muddy side and Iโm not a huge fan
should I get the hien soft (maybe mid?idk) or the raiden mid?
fwiw my mouse rn is the ninjutso origin one x (65g, 3335, wireless) and idk how well mice with 3335s do on the raiden in terms of spinouts, heard itโs not too bad
