A list of puns related to "Hairpin Turn"
They just seem awfully excessive. You bang against the side of the train which is really unpleasant and doesn't add much to the ride experience. Sure it's fun on spinning coasters but I genuinely do not understand why regular steel coasters have them. Can anyone explain?
I first saw this type of roller coaster in a video of a βdark rideβ found at carnivals; the riders would get into the roller coaster car in the ground floor front section of the ride, which would gradually ascend to the second floor of the ride. There it would wind back and forth in a series of hairpin turns, then pop out on the second floor of the front section before dropping back down to the start. It was posted as being funny and a rip-off not only because the ride was so short, but because the second floor was completely empty and sometimes even lit to show how there was nothing interesting to even look at. But then I learned that this was actually a standard design of a certain type of roller coaster, just that the better ones were larger, open (as opposed to a dark ride that takes place inside a structure), and with more complex drops. There was some sort of term for this form of roller coaster, but all I remember is that the term itself wasnβt very βroller-coastery.β Thoughts? TIA! Links to videos of the βrip-offβ ride and the legitimate versions also appreciated.
Hey guys, i had stated in a previous post that I was kinda relatively new to formula 1 so some things are still unclear to me. Now I watched the race highlights again and I couldn't ignore it any more. I think the commentator says it's turn 9 (1st lap) and this is where Max was gonna overtake Lewis but then Lewis went off track and thus gained his lead back. Can someone explain why no investigation was necessary as they said?
Hi, I'm having trouble with some of the sharper turns in dirt rally 2.0. It's really annoying and I always loose lots of time from them. When ever I do one, I either understeer, oversteer, or crash. I did find this video on a tutorial on how to do a hairpin with AWD, FWD and RWD cars, but I still can't get the hang on it.
Thanks for the help.

These words get me every time. That is all.

7: This is a good song. I enjoy it quite a bit.
8-9: Really enjoyable songs. I rank them pretty high overall.
10: Masterpiece, magnum opus, or similar terminology.

Hey everyone, just wanted to see what everyone does with hairpin turns.
I've noticed that I have a lot of trouble with these types of turns so I've been watching YouTube videos where hairpin turns are involved to get an idea on what you're supposed to do.
I noticed that that back wheels often 'stop' and spin again during these turns. Which probably means that the driver is braking for a brief second before reinitiating again. Is this true? Or is the driver simply letting go of the accelerator?
I'd really prefer OG controls but been getting used to it. But can't do hairpin turns. The second bonus stage is extremely hard (the one with bananas between bumpers). As well as EXAM C of course.
Tips?
All the drivers seem to avoid the curb at the inside of turn 6. Is there any particular reason the drivers donβt turn in earlier and use the inside curb?
