A list of puns related to "Gotha"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gotha_Program
So ive read a few of Marxs works. Mostly short pamphlets, I read all his 1844 manuscripts. Ive read plenty of other people on Marxist.com talk about his ideas. I havent dived into capital yet. But someone recommended I read his critique of the gotha program, they claimed he lays out actual methods that a socialist society should function in this critique, which got me interested.
But first I realized I should probably figure out what exactly the gotha program was, so I did some research on it, beginning with wikipedia of course. Which led me to this, https://history.hanover.edu/courses/excerpts/111gotha.html
Now I read these points it lists and such, and dont really see anything wrong with them, for some reason I feel like im missing something. Most of it seems pretty correct actually. I dont think I really disagree with any of it?
I understand he died of Cancer in 1954, being poverty stricken wouldn't have helped, but the bizarre thing is that his portrait in 1933 shows a man who looks more like 63 than 49. The picture of him meeting Neville Henderson in 1939 makes him look 83. I was wondering if (similarly to Hitler in his later years) Edwards had a history of ill health and prematurely aged as a result.

So ive been engaging in all leftist thought and i am love it all. Kropotkin,Bakunin, lenin, rosa Luxembourg, afro socialism and marx and engels. And Anarchos and Marxists alike cant pinpoint as to what exactly the state is. Now he defines it.
Marx says the state is the institution or complex of institutions which bases itself on the availability of forcible coercion by special agencies of society in order to maintain the dominance of a ruling class, preserve the existing property. That is fact. Lenin differentiates a socialist state from bourgeoisie state. Socialist state is when proletariat seizes the state. Ok thats a fact too but what is it exactly.
So i dug deeper. Marx says that the bourgeoisie state always has an ideology whether conservative or liberal. Thats also true. The ruling class owns the state. In our society its capitalists. They are ruling class and use state which are complex institutions through forcible coersion to preserve capital and existing property. The ruling class through various means indoctrinates the common people. In other words, the ruling class converts the people in its favor and if it fails it tries to make them neutral. The ruling class adopts the methods of political socialization. So with all this information many leftists say the state is government, military, police, borders, debt, taxes, news and media and our current education system. This makes sense at least to me.
Government or mostly in this case lobbied government do the bidding of capitalists. They make laws that benefit ruling class and suppress the proletariat. So the uk made an anti protest bill and Georgia republicans made an anti voting bill. Forcible coercion to protect capital. So the state can be lobbied government. Which is why lenin says seize the state. When proletariat seize government it is for the people rather than bourgeoisie.
Police can be seen as state as they enforce laws that government makes. During the summer of 2020 George Floyd protests were nationwide and police beat people senselessly. When people ask to defund police it is against corporate interests as we make bank of slave labor of prisons. Its profitable to jail people for no reason and thus no defunding police. Police are state.
Military- The military industrial complex destabilizes nations cause weapon countries make money killing people and when a nation is destabilized capitalists can elect a puppet and extract cheap labor abroad. Like what we do to Colombia. Starb
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hello readers! This week represents the first anniversary of the recovery and display of one of Europe's most mysterious modern-day art thefts, involving experienced cat burglars, dark dealings in a secretive and repressive regime, all taking place against the backdrop Germany's largest 17th-century castle. I'm trying to cover a variety of mysteries other than murders and disappearances, and if this post is well-received, I have a couple of other art and artifact mysteries to post. Most of the useful sources are in German and thus there will be some things lost in translation, but hopefully the strange events and conflicting theories are clear. Enjoy!
Friedenstein Castle is a beautiful Baroque-style castle located near the city of Gotha, deep in the heart of central Germany, between one of the country's largest forests and flat, fertile farmland. Lying in the state of Thuringia, the castle has weathered the passage of leaders and states as modern Germany took shape. Being built on the site of the former Grimmenstein Castle (razed in 1567), Friedenstein has existed in one form or another since the 1640s, surviving hundreds of years of nobility modifying the castle from a strategic fortress to a grand country retreat, featuring over the years observatories, formal gardens, theatres and to a shift as an air-raid shelter for the local population during World War II.
By 1945, the castle found itself deep behind the Iron Curtain which divided Europe in two after the war, in the German Democratic Republic (GDR) - better known in the English-speaking world as East Germany. Although the castle had suffered from looting after both the US and Red Armies had occupied the castle and nearby Gotha, the late 1950s saw a degree of stability return, and the formation of the Soviet Union allowed for the return of a great deal of stolen artifacts to be located and returned to Friedenstein. The East German authorities apparently took good care of the historical site, and the castle was used to house a variety of Old Masters paintings for public display.
Sadly, the castle would fall victim to yet more looting before long, but this time in a spectacular manner that shocked East Germany, a place where citizens were used to state surveillance, yet a d
