A list of puns related to "Gdiaper"
I found a great deal on new born Gdiapers and now I need the inserts. We have some time to get the inserts as the baby isn't due for another 5 weeks. I would prefer cotton inserts just from my own experience with reusable menstrual pads. I see that thristies has cotton inserts. I don't see any recommendations on the Gdiapers website for reusable inserts, just disposable inserts.
Has anyone used gDiapers without the disposable inserts?
I found a stash of newborn and small gDiapers at my local thrift shop. They looked brand new and were priced pretty cheap ($2.00/diaper). I had never seen this brand before, so I looked up the system online and found out that they are made to be used with their own brand of disposable inserts.
So, has anyone ever used this brand with cloth inserts instead of the disposable ones? In the newborn size the PUL is attached to the diaper but in the small size the PUL is a removable hammock-looking attachment. Iβm not keen on using disposable inserts, and it looks like the company might be going out of business anyway. Can I use cloth inserts or should I pass this deal up?
Hello! I got my stash from a family member and she had a bunch of gDiapers. They fit my baby great and are my favorite however their website says they're closed and I can't order any more so I'm looking for a similar system. If anyone has any recommendations I would greatly appreciate it. Right now my baby is about 9 pounds (3 weeks old) and he's a serial pooper so he goes through diapers very fast and I'm looking to extend my stash. Thanks for the help!
We have some GDiapers with disposable inserts. I don't feel comfortable flushing them (nor do I have the energy to rip and swish them) but we do have a compost pile. It's relatively small, so there is no way that this is a sustainable solution for us, but I'd be interested in hearing any stories about composting GDiapers. We will probably use the stash we have and move on, for other reasons (I love the slim fit SO MUCH but the PUL snap insert system is pretty annoying!) but it would be great to compost some of the wet ones we're producing now. Thanks!
Hi folks! Expecting my first in January and was exploring all sorts of options when I came across gDiapers (https://www.gdiapers.com/). This may be controversial, because they're a hybrid diaper, but for a newborn I'm super attracted to the small profile / fit and claims to a compostable and plastic-free disposable liner. (Which I would not flush - "flushable" is not a regulated term and mostly a lie.)
Has anyone tried them?? I'd love to hear feedback, particularly because we're interested in doing some international travel (likely to Asia) with our little one and are worried bulk for luggage and washing facilities with more traditional cloth diapers.
Edit: Looking for anyone worth experience with gDiaper or other hybrids brands (BumGenius Flip or Grovia Hybrid, etc.)
We use pocket diapers and bamboo inserts with our 4 month old, and have really gotten our routine dialed in, with the exception of using one disposable a night for overnight protection. I love it, it's sustainable and financially awesome. ::roadblock:: We're going to be starting daycare in a couple months, and they won't use diapers with reuseable inserts, only disposable ones like the gDiaper system. In the interest of trying to be a little greener, I'm up for using these instead of something like a costco disposable, but the gdiaper inserts are expensive (never mind that we thought we were done buying diapers for awhile, sigh)
I can only get them down to $.22 each insert at best (Kirkland dipes are $.16 each) It looks like that would cost us an additional $104 per year, assuming 4 diapers/day at daycare, holidays notwithstanding.
Do any of you have recommendations for other systems, or any experience with the gDiaper system? Is it worth going that route, or are we doomed to have the bulk of the day covered by Kirkland? any input would be awesome, thanks!
So, I was game for making an attempt at cloth diapers, but my husband is not getting on board. I want to minimize the impact on the environment that our diaper use has. I came across Gdiapers, which have a flushable or compostable insert. We don't have any space for a compost bin and our town doesnt collect it, so We will need to flush them. You have to rip off the edge of the diaper and seperate inner from outer before flushing. Have any of you done this? How well does it work? I was looking at alos getting Bamboo diapers which dont have chlorine since aside from the decomposing problem, that is one of the biggest pollution issues with diapers. If I just throw out the insert from Gdiapers is it futile? I feel like its at least less product and eventually it should break down even without a compost? At least less than in 500 years!
I received ~12 of these little guys (the white/word pattern ones that come in the newborn bundle) for free with 6 of the the size small reusable inserts and a mostly full pack of the small disposable inserts as well.
Has anyone has used these successfully for the newborn period? The fit/style just seems so different from any other diaper I've ever seen. TIA!
I know that some cloth diapers require being washed a few times or have some prep done to them before they can be used. I assume gPants donβt have that requirement since they use a liner, but I want to make sure before my baby is born.
Like it says in the post, my wife and I are going to be traveling to see relatives during our holiday break and we are looking for the best diapering solution as our cloth set up is just too much to travel with. The area we are going to doesn't have any diapering services.
That being said, I was wondering if anyone had tried Gdiapers. And more specifically, are they compatible with other diaper covers? Have you guys tried them?
I'm trying to figure out what constitutes a deal on used gdiapers! What do you guys think about this one?

I'm still researching my options for cloth diapering, and I'm trying to decide between AIO Thirsties, and gdiapers with either the biodegradable or cloth inserts. Has anyone had any experience with these and can you give me some pros/cons?
Has anyone used the Gdiapers? If so tell me how you like them. This seems to be the one I'm leaning toward getting
Ok, so we've been cloth diapering our 18 month-old pretty much from birth: first with prefolds/covers and then with BumGenius Freetimes (LOVE these!). We're expecting baby girl #2 in July, so when I ran across a box full of cloth diaper stuff at a garage sale for $5, I quickly scooped it up! It was definitely worth it just for the 10 prefolds and a few brand new BumGenuis doublers... So now that we're getting ready for #2, I'm looking through the box again and it has 11 newborn gDiapers and a bunch the next size up - perfect for supplementing our stash until our oldest is potty-trained! But really I'm trying to figure out the gDiapers and there's one thing that boggles my mind: why does it seem like you put them on backwards from any other diaper I've seen?? Do people really flip their babies over onto their tummies to fasten the velcro? Maybe I'm just over-thinking this.
We do cloth and disposables with gdiapers. Baby girl changed sizes right after we got a pack. Anyone want it? No charge.
I use pockets, prefolds, and just started using diapers. I'm loving cloth diapering but I want to love the gdiapers more. Any suggestions on keeping the pouches from getting dirty after every poop? LO is only 8 weeks and still in that yellow seedy kinda poop. Not sure if that matters. Thanks guys!! And happy Friday!!
FTM, due in June here. We live in a giant apartment building in NYC and will be there for 3 months after our LO arrives. Once we move I plan to cloth diaper when we get a washing machine of our own, but for the first few months it seems like gDiapers would be a good solution since the inserts can be flushed and the bodies reused a few times before washing.
Has anyone tried gDiaps? What did you think? Do they provide a good enough gusset that poo-splosions aren't an issue?
If you haven't tried them could you see them working for the newborn poops you have encountered?
I have a ton left over. Baby girl spurted just after we got a bunch. Just want them to go to a good tush.
My LO just outgrew smalls and before we stock up on mediums im thinking about switching to another because velcro and leaks i have experienced.
suggestions pls.
I have enough money in Target gift cards to start/complete my new cloth diaper stash. I oopsed with my first and got very cute girl patterns, and I am just not sure my son will appreciate being covered in butterflies and flowers ;)
I have experience with gdiaps and pocket diapers but not the CB brand. Has anyone used both and have a preference? Or should I just get some 12ish) of each?
I'm guessing all the real g's have copped the large sizes already, but I'm looking for these plasticized training shorts in Men's XL. So fire.
My hubby and I bough 13 size small inserts for baby, we got them used for $50 (this included 5 inserts, so we're happy with the price we paid) I also have 24 small size prefolds (brand unknown, from a local hospital destashing in favor of disposables) Hubby and I are thinking of getting 1 package of newborn diapers (~88 diapers) for the cord reasoning ... but after that, would we be able to do a jelly roll style inside the gdiaper liners? When did your munchkin fit the smalls?
Thanks!
I use mainly prefolds and covers, but my sister bought us the starter kit for the gDiapers. Once he grew out of those, I bought a barely used size medium stash of covers and liners, and have been using my small prefolds that he no longer fits in as the inserts. It's been wonderfully cost effective, and I've never had a problem with the gDiapers. No blow outs, no leaks, nuthin!
Bonus gif of him doing the happy diaper dance. =)
Hey mamas! And dads! I had a few questions..
What is the best setting to wash diapers on? Right now I am using permanent press, which I believe is like the "delicate" cycle. I do this both to save energy and try and preserve the diapers a bit, but I'm wondering if it's maybe not washing them as well?
We've had some ammonia problems recently, I did a few long soaks with white vinegar, and it helped for about 2 washes but now it's back. I'm wondering if I need to be using more detergent, less detergent, or a different setting. I'm considering just buying a cloth diaper specific detergent to take out the guess work.
Bonus question - I have two small gDiaper covers, I think they are too small for him now and I just never got around to using them, but my question is, what am I supposed to put in them? Just really small prefolds? I just can't imagine a prefold ever fitting inside.
Thank you!!
We have been using gdiapers since my son was born 17 months ago. He is still wearing them at nap and we love them! We started off using them for the flushable inserts, but as I became more brave I switched to cloth insets and haven't looked back.
I have a coupon code for the new friend bundle which includes 3 diapers and some packs of flushable liners for 40%off retail, which is really awesome. Gdiapers also have a GREAT resale value.
My coupon code is - new4636Collins
If you have any questions about gdiapers you can ask me too!
I know that a lot of cloth diaper mamas are not fans of the gdiapers, but they have served us well for 16 months...until now.
My DD has frequently been peeing through her diapers, especially at nap times. We use Rockin' Green Soft Rock detergent, along with Funk Rock when they get stinky. We have stripped the diapers using the boil method, as well as the Blue Dawn method. We replaced the pouches whose seal appears to have worn down. We have alternated placing the inserts hemp side up with the microfiber. We have checked to make sure the diaper creates a seal. We double a flushable insert and cloth for overnight, which is still only 70% effective.
As a result, we have reduced the pee - through from 3 times to once or twice. So aside from ditching the g's and starting a new stash (which would suck, as we have DD2 on the way in November) is there anything else we can do?
Thoughts?
How would i make the velcro strong again without replacing? This is the one thing i dont like about gdiapers.
Im using Gdiapers with cloth inserts and my LO (4 month old boy) pees A LOT during the night and leaks through the diapers.
It gets really annoying when i have to wash diapers more that usual. Sometimes the leak is very minor and other times its bad.
i started using disposables at night and that seems to help but i really want to stick to cloth.
They are for the small size and there are about 35 left in the 40 pack. They work like a disposable pad inside gDiapers. I'm pretty certain that they can only be used with gDiapers. Completely FREE... I will ship within the lower 48.
My story in short.
Husband and I are expecting our first while living with my parents. There are currently 5 adults in the house. One will be leaving in Nov but soon after that we will have the baby arriving. I'm just overwhelmed by all of the information!
If I were to cloth diaper I would choose Snap In One diapering.
Any suggestions or advice?
I have an opened package of the gRefills for small gPants. I will not be using them and they were kept in a clean, dry place. PM me if you would like them. FREE!
