A list of puns related to "Fraticelli"
I'm playing an Ironman as Munster from the 769 start date, I've converted to Germanic, recently reformed it and I've got a realm size of ~1450 at 951AD.
My Great Holy War CB comes off cooldown in a year, than the catholic crusade CB comes off cooldown a couple years after that, so I'm thinking of doing a Great Holy War on Egypt, changing to christiananity, vassalising Pope and calling a crusade or Jeruselum, then turning to Fraticelli and calling another crusade.
I'm going for WC and want to do it decently quickly. While I'm converted I'll invite people with claims to kingdoms, land them, then push their claims after I've become Germanic again.
Will my plan work?
In my next playthrough I want to restore Coptic Egypt which means I also need to reconvert the whole Kingdom back to Christianity. However I don't know about Miaphysism compared to Catholicism; Catholics get 5 holy order, the Crusades... Fraticellism is exactly the same. Is there any reason to play a non-Catholic Christian aside being historical? Great Holy wars are fun as hell and the Pope... is actually quite easy to manage once you understand how he works.
If the fraticelli heresy were to spawn in Rome, and a religious uprising were to spawn and win, would it be a Fraticelli Pope or just a heretical feudal peasant?
Ok hereβs the scene: Iβm playing as a single county earl in Ireland at the 1066 start. While Iβm waiting to get enough money to hire some mercenaries, my court chaplain says that I should convert to Fraticelli Christianity. Iβm really tempted, but I am sure that I will be killed almost instantly.
I am might be able to fend off some of my neighbors, but I am years away from being able to afford mercenaries. I am also reluctant to imprison him since he has decent stats all around
Anyone have some advice?
Hey all. Iβm thinking of creating the Roman Empire in a shattered world, but making it Holy by having almost exclusively Church vassals. Iβm debating whether Fraticelli or Hellenic would be better for this.
One one hand, blobbing with Fraticelli is very slow compared to Hellenic, and I need to revoke two titles every time I conquer a new county. However, I can get tons of church opinion bonuses and have the ability to restore the Holy Roman Empire, giving me an awesome crown which gives me +10 church vassal opinion.
On the other, with Hellenic I can basically make myself the Pope, gain access to a warrior lodge, and blob quickly. I donβt like how all the church vassals are shirtless though... it just kinda weirds me out.
I donβt know, which seems like the better choice?
I am playing as fraticelli Britannia and Iβve just conquered Rome, how do I put my own pope there? I donβt see a decision to do it in intrigue.
Thank you
PS: I only have Old Gods and Horse Lords
I am emperor of Francia and major part of my vassals are fraticelli. How to convert them ?
Hi all, I've posted this series of questions on the Regular thread, but thought this could be pretty interesting, and difficult issue enough to make its own post.
In advance I tell you that I come here because I've exhausted all info sources I could find. And I thank you for your replies! :)
Ok so this may be a difficult question, I am going to start a new campaign with a couple of Friends, we will try to form the HRE. Probably 769 start
With this in mind I thought the following as goals:
-Make myself King of Italy (And not Emperor of the HRE)
-Be appointed HRE spymaster
-Vassalize the Pope (This goal includes an empire-wide Fraticelli conspiracy so I can make him a Duchy Vassal)
-Control the Cardinal College (Bonus: All Cardinals are from my dynasty, and therefore so is the pope)
-Keep Venice as a merchant duchy republic (Bonus: My dynasty controls the Republic)
How feasible are these goals?
My plan is to start either as King of Lombardy consolidate power and bow myself under a friend so he forms the HRE or make him bow under me so I form it. (It doesnβt matter as we are going for full council power, and I donβt want to be Emperor either way)
When Iβm chill enough Iβll start the Fraticelli conspiracy and make a friend join me, so we spread it all over the HRE. Then make a Fraticelli pope and make him my vassal.
Best way to make the HRE on the 769 Start for around 7 coop players?
Thank you very much
PS: Sorry for formatting and English.
Okay weirdest CK2 Campaign of my life. So, i started from the earliest time. Created a family that converted to the
Fraticelli christian heresy i then worked my way converting the UK and Italy and then taking Rome and establishing the
Fraticelli papacy again all went fine. In this time the HRE converted Tibet to Catholicism and the Catholic pope reigned from their. Until out of nowhere the emperor of the HRE converts himself and all his vassals to Buddhism and the HRE becomes a Buddhist European empire. I think this happened because the HRE had expanded into Asia and must have had some members of the council who convinced the emperor to go Buddhist.
Now the only bit of Christianity left is my Fraticelli Papacy, Italy. Sardinia and Corsica and the UK all of which follow Fratacelli Christianity. The original Catholic pope now rules out of Delhi and Asia is now more christian than Europe. AI should never be left to their own devices .
Thereβs one comment in one thread in this sub that says SoA is needed to create the fraticelli pope. I havenβt read that SoA is needed any where else so the person who wrote the comment might be wrong. Do you know if any DLC are needed in order to do that?
Thanks
Or does the top liege have to be an infidel to call a crusade?
I could ask him to convert, but I find it rather cool, also he revokes all catholics in his realm and replaces them with members of our dynasty that he asked to convert, which is awesome, my other vassals usually just generate counts when they have excess counties.
So I'm playing through as King of England currently (cheating because I'm mostly just fucking around) and I was able to take Rome and install a Fraticelli Pope. He called a Crusade for Italy first off, which is good because the Holy Roman Empire rulers are now all Sunni (yeah...seriously). Took Italy and gave it to a dynasty member to try and spread things out while I take the rest of the British Isles.
Now the only Crusades he calls for are for Jerusalem, where Abbasid has like...60-80k Soldiers, and I'm the only powerful ruler in Fraticelli with 30k. AND THE WHOLE OF EUROPE IS JUST ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ALPS RIPE FOR THE FUCKING TAKING AND HE WON'T CALL A GODDAMNED CRUSADE FOR FRANCE OR GERMANY!
And will he be an actual Fraticelli pope when I do, or a regular Antipope who happens to be Fraticelli?
And can I then claim the Papacy for Fraticelli? Or do I have to get a regular claim on Rome to replace the pope with a Fraticelli?
Currently playing the duke that begins in Chicago and after essentially becoming the Byzantine equivalent of being a bulwark against infidels in the north without much support from my fellow Catholics. Also have strong hate and an excommunication from the pope with no understanding why. Screw him I figure, was planning to vassalize him eventually and convert to something else anyway.
Recently a nearby county establish a heretic stronghold of nestorianism, which in the mod is a catholic heresy that apparently has its own religious head. Would they be a viable alternative to convert to? Or are there other heresies in Catholicism that have religious head mechanics?

In the last year, several debates over competing demands for liberty, equality, and religious pluralism have emerged in classrooms and courtrooms in the U.S. and Canada. Join Professor Victor Muniz-Fraticelli, author of the book βThe Structure of Pluralismβ, for a talk on the pluralist view of freedom of religion as a political tradition that makes distinctive and radical claims regarding the sources of political authority and the relationship between associations and the state.
Professor Victor Muniz-Fraticelli is Associate Professor of Law and Political Science at McGill University. He received his PhD in Political Science from the University of Chicago in 2008, and his JD from the University of Puerto Rico in 1999.

So I was just wondering, out of the Catholic heresies, why is it that the Fraticelli are able to have their own version of the Pope? I assume there is some historical reason, I was hoping someone could explain that.
So after a string of bad luck that resulted in the deaths of 5 characters in the span of about 80 years I struck gold when one of my siblings turned out to be fraticelli and possessed giving him genius an strong. With all his stats being 20+ I immediately nominated him as my successor and committed suicide. Through him I've been able to use holy wars to conquer Brabant Flanders Normandy and Brittany. Things are going well but I don't have much experience with other religions. Most of my games I've run as catholic or Germanic. So I'd like to ask, should I commit to the fraticelli heresy and begin planning my invasion of Italy to replace the catholic religon or go back to being catholic once my current character dies? From what I can tell fraticelli isn't that much different to Catholicism. What are the pros and cons to fraticelli?
On the 27th November, 1272, Emperor Edward Balls assumed the throne of Casual, aged 18. His first act as Emperor was to stop spying on his father, Emperor Dave III βThe Boldβ, since he was a bit dead. The early years of his reign were marked by the Black Death that had swept through the realm, and claimed 4 of his siblings, and his father. Thankfully no more close family was taken by the disease, although his sisterβs betrothal was cancelled for fear of a patrilineal heir.
Almost immediately, the Leader of the Hansa invited the Emperor to declare an Embargo War on Svea Rike over the Lord of Visbyβs trade routes in the Baltic. Edward Balls naively took this offer, and in doing so activated a defensive pact which involved numerous countries, including Castille. To aid in wars, the Emperor formed an alliance with his wife, Queen Beileag of Scotland and Norway.
The Embargo War had to be quickly cancelled after Duke Guiraud of Murcia declared a claimant revolt for the Emperorβs cousin, Khatun Enid of Ganbold. However the revolt war ended inconclusively due to Enidβs death.
Since the Imperial Court was in seclusion, food in Paris was running low. During a routine tunnel building operation under the city, a woman was found alone in the tunnels. Sioned the Troubadour was welcomed into court, until she tried to kill the Emperor, who was a tad miffed. The Parisian citizens believed that cats were the source of the plague still sweeping the city, so research was underdone. The Emperor kept some of the research cats, and found one of them to be so adorable that the Emperor kept it as a pet. The Parisians insisted on killing all cats, but the Emperor couldnβt comply killing βTiddlesβ. His love for Tiddles even outdid his friendship with the courtier Ciendrych.
By 1274 the Black Death had started to leave the Empire, and was clear of the Royal lands by late 1275. 1275 also brought a new heir for the Empire, Princess Princess Diana.
A White Rider appeared in Paris in 1277, prophesising the end of times. He led an army up to the gates of the city, but careful diplomacy and trying to burn him at the stake managed to subvert his prophecy.
1279 brought a new companion for Tiddles, Hunter, a new hunting dog. Although they were at odds with one another, they became the bestest of pals. Until 7th July 1285, when Tiddles died.
Once the Black Death had passed, the realm became quieter. The odd holy war in Lithuania, the odd crushed revolt, not much happened.
In 1288, Qu
... keep reading on reddit β‘I'm currently the Fraticelli emperor of Britannia, and I want to conquer Rome and establish the Fraticelli papacy. How would I go about doing that? When I set up an antipope, he has a claim on the Fraticelli papacy (nonexistent) and not the Catholic papacy. Do I need to convert to abandon my heresy, or is there an easier way?
