I know the FAQ's of this subreddit say that coming out to your family about being atheist is a bad idea, but what if I'm forced into it?
For context, my parents are Christian but they don't go to church, I'm sure there's a term for that somewhere, and my grandmother is super religious. She, obviously, goes to church.
I, myself, has never truly believed in God, I've always been a man of science, and so it never really made sense to me why God would exist or how it even has anything to do with us as humans. Due to this I have to constantly refrain myself from making jokes or saying stuff about God not being real every time my grandma or parents brings it up.
Because of this reason alone, I fear that one day I'm going to slip up and be forced to admit to not being Christian in front of my parents and possibly my grandmother.
