A list of puns related to "Fomori"
Too frequently, Fomori are used as the Orcs of a Werewolf chronicle- ugly bad guys that go 'booga booga' and exist only as claw fodder for the Garou heroes. Tell us about how you used Fomori effectively in your chronicles. Characters that weren't just speed-bumps to the players, but were instead active, effective, and horrifying antagonists in your games.
What do you think are the principles that storytellers should keep in mind for using and presenting Fomori effectively?
So i been wondering about how they work. A Pentex product has a bane, the individual gets possessed right away or it slowly breaks it?, once he gets possessed or taken over by a bane, do they become a fomori right away?
can a fomori be exorcised from the bane or return to his former self?
can black spiral dancers be "redeemed" or once you do the cabaret dance down the spiral theres no turning back
I have a really shallow understanding of what they are, and even used one or other creature like this in a game, but a thread earlier in r/WorldOfDarkness got me thinking about it and now i curious.
If I have [[Ruhan of the Fomori]] on the battlefield and one of my three opponents has his [[Pramikon, Sky Rampart]] on the field (letβs say heβs chosen clockwise for his ability) and I move to the attack phase what happens?
Ruhan say I choose an opponent at random (so I roll a die). If it chooses the opponent to my left (since Pramikon says clockwise in this example) I assume I attack as normal. What happens if it chooses any other opponent? Does the attack just fail? Iβm assuming it doesnβt attack.
It seems really rare, at least in the places I've looked, to find people who interact with the Fomorian/Fomori/Fomoire, when I started in Polytheism I was kinda dragged in by An Dagda, but as of a few months ago now Tethra has become my main deity, I'm just looking for others in this community who have experienced or Worship the Fomori
I'm down to 105 cards. The land base isn't fixed yet so ignore that. Budget is around "700", my group uses proxies so the actual price doesn't matter. In archidekt make sure that multiple view is selected so you can see the cards that belong to multiple categories. Help me make the last few cuts and feel free to provide any tips.
I'm going for a voltron type build with unblockable and double strike sub theme. I'm thinking I may need to beef up card draw a bit more?
I also may want to beef up the sunforger package a bit more, after all I'm in jeskai so lots of good spells available.
Do I have enough tutors?
Also, what are good cards to toss in as a backup win con in case somebody steals ruhan for example. Maybe Narset? Any other suggestions for side win cons?
Banes tend to go for people who demonstrate their particular urges- so anger banes possess angry people, etc?
Considering your own inner demons, if you got possessed by a malfean spirit, what do you imagine would end up happening to you? What powers and taints?
Title. I ST for a pbp WTA discord server taking from the Rage Across Appalachia source book, and the PCs attacked a clan of formidable Hillbilly fomori a few weeks ago in their Bane-infested Hellhole settlement to save some kidnapped BG kinfolk. Naturally, the Bledson clan are planning their revenge. They have access to silver weapons, Banes and lots of molotovs from their Wyrm-Tainted whiskey business. They don't deal with BSDs, are still largely ignorant to the Triat, and are independent yet quite wealthy. Im reading through the source book for ideas now, but I'd love to hear some ideas on how to bring chaos to the Garou PCs, and hopefully make for some great roleplay for the aftermath.
I like coming up with completely non-meta decks that just do wacky things. And Iβm brainstorming how I can abuse [[Pull from Eternity]]
The basic idea is to use [[Mimic Vat]], [[Stolen Identity]], and [[Back from the Brink]] and [[Pull from Eternity]] to make lots of clones and make sure Iβve got a solid battlefield ready to go, and cards like [[Narsetβs reversal]], [[Dual Casting]], [[Reverberate]], and [[Past in Flames]] to maximize the sorceries I have.
I would also have creatures like [[Terror of the Peaks]] to get the most out of ETBβs, [[Quicksilver Elemental]], [[Djinn Illuminatus]] for versatility.
Iβm not trying to play seriously, just a deck thatβs wonky and a little grouphuggy without strangling everyone. But Iβd probably have a [[Grapeshot]] for wincon, or [[Mindβs Desire]] to capitalize on the max amount of casting Iβd be doing. [[Sprouting Vines]] for a little flavor ramp.
If anyone finds this interesting and has some card suggestions to make or understand the idea Iβm trying to convey and knows a better way for me to do it Iβd love to hear suggestions. I just want a deck that people will be excited to play against in my group cuz less seriousness=more fun, but I donβt want my turns to be as long as they are in my yidris/Temur stompy creatures multiple combats deck.
Hey yβall so Ruhan being a 4 mana 7/7 seems amazing as a voltron commander. Ramp turn 2, play him turn 3, equip one of the swords to him turn 4, non-green players probably wonβt have a creature turn 4, now you got a turn four 9/9 with protection from two colors attacking someone. Is Ruhan having to attack someone at random make him not good enough? If I can make him unblockable then it wouldnβt really matter whoβd Iβd attack since they wouldnβt be able to block. Thoughts?
I need a seventh generation, the wyrm cult, fomori for my campaign, I'm having a side quest about showing him why you don't steal things, especially children, from the family of the Giovanni. Is this a plausible plot, and if so, how would I go about making the fomori snatcher.
Hey there guys, I really hope this post is in line with the subreddit rules. I'm really embarassed cause I care about this thing so much, so I hope not to create a mess.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm finally able to post some EDH content on Youtube! Here in Italy there isn't a lot of content, so I thought "eeh why not" and started working on my first video about Ruhan of the Fomori, one of my favourite commanders.
Relatively simple to pilot and straightforward, I wanted to start with Him since it's the first deck of mine new players end up borrowing for EDH when I introduce them to the format, and they all end up having fun. Who doesn't love a good old truckload of damage after all?
Anyway I figured, since I'm ok at speaking English, that I could also add English subtitles and post the link to the video and decklist on here. So I'd like to hear from you, let's discuss the deck and if you want, let me know what you think of the video!
I'll be grateful for any support or advice you'll give me.
Also let me know if the post doesn't respect the guidelines, I'll remove it.
Thanks!

The reason I'm wondering is because some vampires are very humane and generally "good". But aren't all vampires tainted by the wyrm to some extent? What are your thoughts?
Hey guys, I'm new to commander and I want to build my very first commander deck. I have my eye on 2 commanders, Ruhan and Yuriko, but which one to choose??? I would love to see sample decklists for both to see which feels better in my books. If anyone else has a suggestion, feel free to share!
White Wolf couldnβt give both groups of antagonists similar names without implying they are connected in some way.
[Ruhan of the fomori] must attack each turn if able but if he attacks somebody with [ghostly prison] and I can't pay it what happens?
I just made a voltron deck with him and I checked the rules for him but it wasn't specific enough... my guess would be they are just not a valid target and I have to attack somebody else.
Hey guys, I am working on a fantasy setting that I would like to turn into a Kickstarter campaign in two months or so. I was asked to post a little bit of it here and would really like your thoughts on it. Every input is very much appreciated! What you are going to read is the second part of the introductionary chapter to the player's handbook, where I talk about the motivation and general thoughts behind the setting. (WARNING: Wall of Text incoming)
In this part of the introduciton I want to take a bit of time to explain the idea behind the world of Scath. It is a conglomeration of different ideas I had and principles I wanted to attach to one of my fantasy β worlds. The first idea, as I have said above, came from Celtic mythology. Reading these ancient, often gloomy and tragic, but always entertaining stories I could not help but notice that our modern pop β culture did not use them to quite the extent that it uses some other mythologies, most notably the Greek, Germanic and (if you want to call that mythology) Biblical ones. There were, of course, some names that nearly everyone had heard somewhere already, like the Dadga or Morrigan, but there were quite a few facets mostly unknown. One of the things the world of Scath consits of is my attempt to make Celtic mythology, its basic ideas and characters, more familiar to people.
Because those stories were mostly dark, and contained an undercurrent of approaching doom, the world that would be made from them would have to be similiar. A dark, scary place, full of mysteries. Thus the next two elements came into play: darkness and a sense of mystery, a world with ancient secrets, many of them long forgotten. I wanted a fantasy setting whose inner functionality would be as mysterious to the characters as it was to the players, who were entering it for the first time in their lives. That is why I decided to create a world whose history is mostly forgotten, whose past is nothing more than old legends, full of contradictions and exegerrations, with only glimpses of past glory. I decided to create a world that would, in a way, be post β apocalyptic, where most knowledge had been lost, thus giving the players and their characters the chance to rediscover it.
The next element was something maybe best described with two words: fear and oppression. Most fantasy worlds had humanity as the dominant race, with human settlements to be found from the highest north to the deepest south. Usually humans struggle aga

I'm looking for feedback on my Ruhan Deck:
https://archidekt.com/decks/436493#Ruhan_WIP
It used to be a Pramikon Deck, that's why I had the idea to build a pillow fort around a equipped Ruhan. Any good or fun cards I should definitely add? Any I should definitely remove?
Any input greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Edit: Two days ago I already posted this, I hope it's ok that I report. It had a slightly confusing title and a lot of text and didn't get any replies. Trying the simpler version here now.

Give your opponents creatures.
Make those creatures attack.
Make it so they can't attack you.
Hello, I need some evaluation on a ruhan voltron deck I have constructed. It's meant to be both very straight forward and low to the ground as my now second commander deck. This is my first foray into making a voltron style deck and would appreciate any suggestions or improvements anybody would have, but nothing too crazy hopefully. Gameplan is pretty simple, get the equipment and Ruhan out super early, and bash the opponent in. This is also more for a 1v1 situation.
This is the list: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/ruhan-bash-your-face-in/?cb=1542662470
Hello everyone. I would like to share with you all a world I have been working on for the last three years or so: βScath, Shadow of the Fomoriβ, a dark fantasy world heavily inspired by Celtic mythology. More information can be found on the subreddit reddit.com/r/SCATH/
The world of Scath is not a world of men. Humanity is on the brink of extinction, just another animal to be hunted, enslaved or corrupted. Once there were great kingdoms, ruled by the High King of Tara. Now, only ruins remain.
The Fomori own the world. They are ancient, inhuman creatures with great powers, masters to legions of monsters. These legions destroyed the armies of mankind two hundred years ago. Ever since humanity has been hiding in small villages or travelling the wilderness in primitive clans, always trying to stay one step ahead of the hunters. Almost all knowledge of the past has been lost, and the world has been cast back into an early bronze age. More primitive clans even use weapons of bone, horn or stone.
Defeat after defeat and the death of their greatest heroes has broken the spirit of humanity. They stopped fighting back a long time ago, with survival the only thought in their heads. But survival is not a viable option. The alien magic of the Fomori is killing the land and so, bit by bit, the world is dying. Soon the great circle of life and death will be broken, and Scath will be lost forever. This is where the player characters step in.
The PCs are once ordinary men and women who have made a pact with powerful elemental spirits, beings struggling to preserve the world. These spirits of nature have given the PCs, their βChosen Onesβ a part of themselves to hold onto, turning them into something both more and less than human. With these new β found powers the player characters will have to battle hideous monsters and unite the struggling, fearful tribes of humanity under one banner. They will explore ancient secrets from a time before the first human was born and will find dangerous, unexpected allies. All the while the Chosen Ones will struggle with the changes within themselves. Still, their goal is clear, and the weight of the world on their shoulders.
Will they be strong enough to face beings of ancient evil, whose minds hold unimaginable plans? Will they ignite the last, dying spark of resistance in the trembling heart of mankind? And how many of their own humanity are they prepared to lose along the way? Only one way to find out...
I am happy to
... keep reading on reddit β‘Okay so I know this is gonna sound wack but I got my ice wizard in elementary and was in grizzleheim in like, 2012 I think. Now bear in mind I was an elementary kid so maybe Iβm trippin, but thatβs what I want to verify. I recall questing for handsome fomori in grizzleheim, and I did not know until today that that was not a spell every ice wizard had. Did KI take that part out of the game or did I somehow imagine the whole thing up? I swear Iβm not lying here okay this isnβt a joke post
