A list of puns related to "Flubber"
One winter, I was really in the pits. I ended up in a situation for awhile where I could neither come up with the cash for batteries, nor use my hands well enough to do something like replace dead batteries in a headlamp. So for a couple months I made do with nothing but a Bic lighter when walking outside.
This is not some story about hardship: it turned out that it is almost laughably easier to navigate oneself in the woods when you have no light source. Laughably easier. And it wasn't something that was difficult, or took time to learn either. You can see it very clearly and easily the very first night you decide not to use a headlamp. It is right there in front of you, you can't look awayβand there is no way to not take advantage of what you see and use it... and once you have used it it is always there.
It's true. You are better off without a light at night in the winter than you are with one: instead of an illuminated 10 or 20 foot bubble which destroys your night visionβyour vision now reaches hundreds of feet in every direction...moose are very easy to spotlight in the dark against white snow.
Since the bears are asleep, and the roads and paths have packed trails...you can navigate easier without a headlamp than with one.
This is how I discovered that people who use headlamps look very funny to people who do not: walking around in artificial spheres of light which blind them, and they "work hard" to maintain ($$)βwhich cost the Earth resources (π)βand which they must depend on for every step they takeβand which make then less safe and open to comical probing in the dark.
"Hi Jane!"

"Ahhhhh!" ::surprised in fright::
βJane
"Well if you didn't want me to recognize youβwhy are you wearing a lamp on your head?"

Anyway, I acquired several volumes of a translation of Transmission of the Lamp so that I can study it here and share interesting passages.
This is the first post in this Lamp series.
From the introduction of the second volume:
> In a Far Eastern civilisation more than a thousand years ago, and going back even further, lived communities of men in mountain vastnesses where the hard conditions of everyday life made for a deep familiarty with the living body of the earth and of themselves. These men were tough and gentle at the same time, dedicated to scraping off the adventitious layers of conditioning a civilisation imposes. Only much later was the way they lived crystallised by others into wo

Hiya, 'running'. I'm putting up my hand to begin this and say that I'm a big guy - bigger than I'd like to be. I've been running well this year, almost hit 1000km for 2021, and yet I'm pushing 100kg. My diet has definitely not fared well during Melbourne's extensive and frequent lockdowns.
A friend thoughtfully bought me some running gear for my birthday and as soon as I tried it on the self consciousness kicked in. I probably need a larger size to begin with, but regardless, it's slim fit, and if I ran while wearing it I'd probably look like I've swallowed a lava lamp.
I envy those people who look comfortable while running, and usually just wear a t-shirt and surf shorts. Would appreciate any advice or criticisms you may have.
EDIT: Thanks everyone. It's pretty overwhelming to read all the friendly encouragement on here. I might take these back for a larger size, but I'll still give it a try. Kudos to all of you who can run with nary a care, and it's great to hear you're doing marathons etc. I'll get to that point hopefully!
The user has skin cells made of flying rubber (or flubber) which turns the skin green and able to absorb all impacts without harm, and able to fly with electricity, along with sweating a liquid form of flubber that can make what it touches bouncy
Sooo, I softmodded my Xbox with no issues. I decided to do a tsop flash so I can use large hard drives because my dvd drive is shot.
I βsuccessfullyβ flashed Evo X M8 + F and G. On reboot, my Xbox showed the flubber boot video, then does nothing (black screen). Eject LED flashes red/orange/green continually.
Is my Xbox recoverable? I assumed it was softmod files on the hdd, so I used hddguru with an 8GB disk image. Still nothing (even after re-locking the drive)
If it matters, I did back up partitions 3 and 4, I also have my eeprom handy
