What Union Pacific Trains Were Used On The First Transcontinental Railroad In 1868-69?
I'm currently researching as much as I can find about early train travel during the construction of the first transcontinental railroad, but I'm having a hard time finding any specifics on the specific types of trains that were used on it.
To any train-historians or fanatics here, which kind of U.P trains were running in 1868 and 1869 that were most likely also used as trains driving west from Omaha into the frontier during and right after the construction of the first transcontinental railroad?
I would appreciate any kind of input.

How many Chinese veterans of the First Transcontinental Railroad would be needed to completely subdue and mine a hostile Onix?
It's 1870, and the imported Chinese miners had just begun work on another tunnel in an open quarry when their explosives woke up and enraged a gigantic 30-foot snake made of rocks.
For a moment, it seemed like everyone was fleeing the terrifying monster, but their lack of Pokemon education and excess of ambitions actually led them to the supply tents to get more pickaxes, sledgehammers, nitroglycerin and black powder so they can mine this miraculous boulder.
How many Chinese would end up giving their lives for such a disappointing Pokemon, without knowing they can just lead it to the nearest puddle of pee?

Transcontinental Railroad Sesquicentennial Golden Spike first day issue question
I am not a collector of modern stamps normally, and am still very new to stamp collecting in general. I was wondering how one collects first day issues specifically for the 2019 First-Class Forever Stamp - Transcontinental Railroad 150th Anniversary coming out tomorrow! Thank you for the help!

Prior to the First Transcontinental Railroad, how frequently did the trains run in the βold westβ?
Iβm sure there would be differences between what could be now considered βinterstateβ rail lines and βintrastateβ rail lines (even though not every location would be in a state at that time). So how frequently did trains run from one station to another? If you, say, missed a local train would you be able to catch the next one in a reasonable amount of time? And if you missed a long distance train, would you have to wait a day or more for the next one?
Thanks!
