I already bought the wood for my tank, just want some corners.
I cannot find corners to buy for though this, would stainless steel, zinc coated corners be safe to use in a freshwater planted aquarium? Or is that toxic?
If it is, what do you suggest I use instead? And can you post a link to it? I live in Canada.
The filter box in my pond is a bit ugly, so I'm looking for solutions to cover it up a bit.
I was originally thinking about forming a piece of hardware cloth, then using 100% silicone caulk to attach smallish (2-3") river rock to it. Then I saw discussion of not using galvanized hardware cloth since it can leach harmful chemicals into the water.
Someone else mentioned that fiberglass window screen is safe, so that got me thinking that I could attach river rock to that and have a nice, flexible, organic-looking (hopefully) cover that would still let water through.
Ridiculous? Genius? Somewhere in between?
