A list of puns related to "Exquisite Corpse"
It is 5:49 AM and I just finished the last page of this book. What. The. Actual. Fuck? Iβm giving it 4/5 Stars just for the fact that pzbβs hypnotic writing can make something as gruesome as the contents of this nasty little book seem so incredibly... beautiful? Dare i say exquisite? Im not gonna lie, it took me about 4 months to pick it back up after i sat it down on chapter 5 or so.. but once i did I couldnβt put it back down, and im really happy I did. I also think this was my first Splatterpunk read and i really enjoyed it. I know this is not for everyone but im curious fo hear what yβall thought of it! π
Does anyone know any books like exquisite corpse? or recommend any books that a person who liked that book would like? sorry thatβs worded weird haha
7 (?) 12(?) 14(?) devs had to make short games, only having seen the preceding one in the series
at some point involved zombies and flying into space also one of them didnt work
they were short and abstract like jam games
Hello, fellow approved submitters, having a passion for collaboration but cannot find anyone to collaborate with?
Fret not! The exquisite corpse 2021 is looking for enthusiastic approved submitters to join exquisite corpse and collaborate with a bunch of artists on a comic. We are currently looking for participants to join the exquisite corpse for the day of the dead event as well as the Deepavali event. Not to mention the list of events we have planned out for the rest of 2021.
To add more incentive, joining an exquisite corpse would allow you to claim social credit in discord to exchange for rewards!
So what are you waiting for? Hurry up and comment below on your interest to join the collaboration!
Click here for more information on what is an exquisite corpse. In addition, only approved submitter of the main sub, r/polandball, is allowed to join.
Hey hello. I'm going to host a custom card event on the TESL discord.. It will be a party game in which you only know part of what the previous person made for the card which can lead to some wacky designs.
If you're interested in joining, either PM me here or on discord, I'll post the card designs to the subreddit when it's run-through regardless.
New to this sub and so happy to be here! Any other horror-lit-centric subs I should be aware of?
Exquisite Corpse by Poppy Z. Brite is the first "splattergore" book that I have read cover to cover and by God, I think I'd do it again. It disgusts me and fascinates me the way no other books I would consider to be similar (Clockwork Orange, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, perhaps even American Psycho) have been able to do. I've even just sat down Last Exit to Brooklyn (maybe not horror, perse but it's certainly some form of psychological warfare upon the reader, imo).
Thoughts on either Brite's work or works like it? Appealing or repulsing? Why/why not?
Myself and the folks at the Sandy Pug Games Co-Op, in partnership with weird lit retailer Exalted Funeral, just recently launched our interactive fiction book, The Exquisite Corpse in Maggotsβ Keep, on kickstarter.
Itβs a full-length illustrated gamebook in which you play a beautiful skeleton festooned in jewelry who wakes up inside their coffin in a deep, mysterious cavern. Each choice is written by a different writer Γ la the surrealist exquisite corpse method. Our writing team will have their own characters and situations, bouncing off of the ones that came before.
Iβm the artist for the book and will be doing at least 50 full-page interior illustrations to accompany the stories that our writers come up with.
We have pledge tiers for PDFs, Softcovers, limed edition hardcovers, original art, and for folks in the US, there is even a hand-built full-size coffin complete with a fake bejeweled skeleton holding your copy of the hardcover (the discussion about the logistics for that last one were pretty hilarious).
You can play a preview of the start of the book on Twine here: https://excorpsebeta.neocities.org/start.html
And you can back the campaign here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gkomisar/the-exquisite-corpse-in-maggots-keep
And recently Dicebreaker did a write-up about our kickstarter: https://www.dicebreaker.com/games/the-exquisite-corpse-in-maggots-keep/news/exquisite-corpse-maggots-keep-gamebook
Thanks for checking it out, and feel free to ask me any questions about the book!

I'm using AI Dungeon to write theater plays for a school project, and the second part of the project requires the help of total strangers! I'd love if anyone would like to participate. If so, I would send you the last few lines generated by the AI, then you would respond in 1-3 sentences to continue the story!
I know you just recently discovered how to add special effects (or most likely you hired someone to do it for you) but it's going way overboard now. It's a useless distraction that makes it hard to focus on the actual content (and especially the sound effects can make it hard to hear your words) and they very honestly just look stupid. There's only one type of person who does this, and that's boomers who just recently discovered what YouTube is and have the money to spend to hire someone to put in fancy graphics because "the young people love graphics!" and their Gen X or Millennial video editor tells them it'll be overboard, but the Boomer then says "do it anyway I'm the one paying you!" Doug, the type of person to think that a video will look more professional if you keep throwing more SFX crap into it, apparently. I'm not kidding, if he wasn't such a cheapskate and wanted to pay exactly no one this is exactly the type of video Scotty Kilmer would make. I'm completely serious. In fact you can see shades of the same stuff in Scotty's videos given his limited skills and interest in getting someone with actual skills.
There's one other person whom I regularly watch who goes overboard and that's Nerdstolgic. I don't know why that channel has to insist that every single scene transition has to be done with a VHS pause/eject effect. It just makes it seem like it's perpetually stuck in 1996 and you just discovered video editing for the first time ever. And probably, "I gotta do cool transitions all the time because that's what the young people like! Ooh, I'll do exactly this one transition for literally everything because something something something hipster nostalgia, something something something all I learned from college is how to be a nostalgic hipster and this is why I can't get a real job in the film industry."
Doug, your old-style videos were super-professional precisely because they were super-clean and gimmick-free. Go back to that style, please. Be more like Car Scott the Woz, not a Millennial Scotty Kilmer.

Just finished Exquisite Corpse by Poppy Z. Brite and LOVED IT! It was visceral and intense, would 100% read again. Was wondering if there were any books similar to this one, that still contains main gay/LGBT characters? In addition to all of the disturbing/gorey subject matter?
Thanks!
You can visit this page to see what "Exquisite Corpse" is. The idea is that: We start with a photo without altering as it is being done, you just have to add a dialogue, comic type. And the next one will put another photo with the dialogue he want and so on. The experience can be interesting. Even then we can make a PDF comic.
We cheer up?
Hi, all! Myself and the folks at the Sandy Pug Games Co-Op are preparing to launch our gamebook, The Exquisite Corpse in Maggotsβ Keep, on August 20th on kickstarter. Itβs a full-length, illustrated gamebook in which you play a beautiful skeleton festooned in jewelry who wakes up inside their coffin in a deep, mysterious cavern. Who were you in life? What preternatural magics animated you? What strange creatures and situations will you encounter in this, the Maggots' Keep?Β We don't know!Β ...Yet!
The Sandy Pug Games co-op is responsible for a number of successful TTRPG and narrative projects, both on and off of Kickstarter, including: Monster Care Squad, 10 Million HP Planet, Disposable Heroes, WIZARDPUNK, and You Are Quarantined With Adam Driver And He Is Insisting On Reading You His New Script.
Notorious retailer of weird lit, Exalted Funeral, will be handling the fulfillment of this book which means that weβll have access to international shipping through Backerkit.

Iβd love to answer questions folks have about the concept, writing, and art! There are also a couple other members of the Co-Op that are going to try to stop by throughout the week and join any conversation. Thanks for checking out our book!

The AI happened to generate a character named Jack.
