I am going to use an outside wood boiler to heat water and the house.
I mean, I believe him -- it's not like he's getting kickbacks from PSEG. I just want to know to what extent this is true. I turn on the heat in my living room and usually keep it on throughout the day. It stays on if I go out for a short walk, but I wonder if I should turn it off for longer spans (going out to lunch for 1.5-2 hours, for example). When should I turn it off? I have a PTAC, for reference.
I was wondering has anyone seen substitutional research on this topic?
I tried to dig into this topic, but generally, there doesn't seem to be many articles/research about it compared to other solutions. It seems to me to this one of the best methods as the technology isn't significantly complicated and it can save homeowners money in the long run. Also, most of the electricity is used for heating and cooling and I assume this will continue to increase over the coming years.

I'm working with 600ah worth of battery power. I have thought about running a direct 12v current PC but modern motherboards say no.
