I'm trying to get in shape, but can only go after work during the week. I need gyms near Market (sort of where Civic Center-Embarcadero BART stations area). I'm not quite sure which is the best for the price, though I've read some wild stuff about some of the 24 Hour Fitness gyms in the area.

I'm coming into the city for the weekend, starting with NightLife at the Cal Academy of Sciences tomorrow. I figure that Muni is probably the best way to get across town (staying at the Hyatt Regency), especially hearing the horror stories of recent Uber prices. I'm familiar with the N-Judah tram line, but how does that compare to the 5R bus? And which would be better to take coming back (probably 11ish)?
Saw some guys driving up and poking heads into cars around the restaurants there. Cops arent gonna do shit so people have to watch out

I'm curious. How is the embarcadero area doing nowadays since they installed the homeless shelter? Has it helped reduce homeless chaos in the area? I'm curious what residents who live in the area think. Good bad ugly?
Will be traveling to SF in October and trying to decide where to stay. The Hyatt SF in Embarcadero, Marriott Union Square or Clift Sonesta are the three I'm looking at as they are all very similar in price. Will be doing all the standard tourist stuff (two adults, no kids, no car).
Any pros/cons on these specific hotels or general location would be greatly appreciated!
Past month alone I've gotten several punctures due to glass shards from riding on Embarcadero in SF on the way to GGB. Could be a string of bad luck, though I'm wondering if others in SF have also noticed an increase in road debris, especially broken glass.
