Listening to Nikola Tesla’s autobiography/ collection of submissions to electrical experimenter while working today... it’s weird.
First of all I respect this guy but he comes off like a bit of a dick in every single chapter. I get that great genius can impact personality in weird ways but the ego on this guy in some of these clips is both hilarious and also off putting.
Listening to him (not him but the narrator) rattle off electrical and mathematic equations is pretty surreal though. I swear he’s been saying this equation for like twenty minutes now.
His responses to people who replied to his submissions in this old magazine remind me of old school reddit flame wars but super polite and way more intelligent. He gets in some decent burns by stating his point, then explaining it to a three year old, then re stating that he’s nikola Tesla, so suck it.

Made this experimental 1,5m wide polyhedron for a music party, 3,5 hours of assembling on location. It was challenging bc of electricity wires sequence I engineered at home and was doubting if I'd reassemble it again at a party, but happily it worked out. TIL of an experimental treatment for tinnitus: bimodal neuromodulation, electrical stimulation of the tongue paired with sounds.
