A list of puns related to "Eidos"
Does anybody know what they will be working on next now that guardians has been released? I read that they don’t plan on doing any DLCs with that game, so I was just curious as to what they were shifting their focus to.
So one of the stories is called 'The Littlest Screeb', and the moral of it was something along the lines of 'pick your battles', as the littlest screeb from the story was entirely ineffective against the guardian it chose to attempt to blow up. But, this week, with the GM Nightfall 'The Hollowed Lair', I have been killed by miniature Screebs around 23 times.
I believe Savathun may have more control over the House of Light than we previously thought.
Something I can't help but notice as I'm fully playing through the series now, is how they handle the themes of the story, and whether or not the attempted faithfulness to the franchise by Ion Storm holds up in Human Revolution or Mankind Divided.
First of all, I'm all for different creative approaches, reimaginings, reboots or whatever they might've done and so I also fully respect the choice to make canonical prequels, and I should also add that while I haven't gotten to IW yet, I do see on the periphery what it potentially does to lead the series astray and compared to that Eidos Montreal's games look like they're made of platinum.
So, what is my overall criticism? It's about technology, and conspiracymindedness.
The true novelty of Deus Ex from a story perspective is that it's the real world, in a near future... wait, that doesn't sound original does it? That's because that's not the real novelty. The real novelty is that it's a depiction of reality where every popular conspiracy theory is real, and deals with the theme of societal deception of its population.
What is the anchor of the original game? It's that not everthing is what you thought it was at first, and the deeper you go, the closer you get to the truth, the true conspiracy at the bottom of it all, that there's a power-hungry bastard at the end of the trail named Bob Page, who had his hand in everything all so he could build the next step in the quest for global power, all while the public becomes increasingly dependant on the technology he uses to spread lies, and keep global society lulled under his spell, very akin to Brave New World where common citizen are routinely given drugs to make them susceptible to boring lifeless labor, that serves the masters of the world.
In Human Revolution and so on, they did have the difficulty issue of having to make a smaller main conflict that builds up to where it is in the original. That being said, I think they're trying to ultimately redo what DX1 did, where in HR you start by working for Sarif Industries, then discover that there's a hidden truth behind the events that unfolded there, and pursue that and also put into doubt your allegiance to Sarif with the end of the game. But the issue driving this entire conflict is one where the public is having a slapfight over Augmented vs non-Augmented people.
And it's delivered in this sort of politically heavy handed thing where only rich people have the wealth to afford it, and the threat of "ooh t

I just hope we get some closure because I really do have a lot of affection for these games.

This lines up with the GeForce NOW leak, where a FF Tactics remaster was mentioned

At first I thought it's a gacha game, But I never seen a gacha game that isn't in mobile, so t might be a visual novel, but the story isn't really all that exciting. So.... maybe it's just a very lewd game?
They were going to make a Tomb Raider game until LucasArts shut it down because they said Tomb Raider is a shameless knockoff of Indiana Jones.
I hope they still have relations with Eidos (now owned by Square Enix) since I think a LEGO game that is a crossover between every Square Enix IP would be great. Call it LEGO Final Fantasy X Dragon Quest and it would be great. Just add even more RPG elements than usual and make the characters customisable in their own rights with different levelling systems with each character (Warrior of Light can have a Job Upgrade; Bartz can have multiple Jobs and Actions; Cloud can use Materia; Firion can level up by getting hit or attacking with a specific weapon or spell; JC Denton can level up skills individually and use nanomachine augmentations; Adam Jensen can upgrade his augmentations with Praxis points).
Of course, there will also be custom characters inspired by the MMO Final Fantasy games, as well as Dragon Quest IX and X.
And the game should also allow you to play as the villains. Imagine playing as Sephiroth (complete with Masamune) or Gunther Hermann (complete with Skull Gun). You can also train some enemies in a Dragon Quest V-style monster training system.
My dream is that there will also be multiple worlds you can travel to with transportation (maybe Jock's black stealth helicopter; the various Final Fantasy airships; the Epoch from Chrono Trigger; Chocobos; Warp/Teleport spells; etc...) and even time travel (with either the Epoch or the Daikatana). The game will also have some weapons that have their own levelling system, like the Daikatana.
It would be a massive crossover between every Square Enix IP and it is the LEGO game of my dreams that I only knew I wanted when LEGO mentioned Eidos.
It would be a great collab between Square Enix and TT Games. TT Games still had some good relations with Sega even after being bought by Warner Bros., since they got Sonic in LEGO Dimensions, so they hopefully still have some good relations with Square Enix.
I can already imagine a teamup between the Luminary, JC Denton, Chaos, 2B and Crono in a LEGO Final Fantasy game.
And with LEGO not afraid to include multiple iterations of one character, we can have multiple versions of characters such as: both FF7, Remake and Advent Children versions of Cloud; both Daddy and Kid NieR; JC Denton as either black, brown, white brunette, white redhead or albino in both male and female versions (making the Lay D Denton Project canon

After the mess we had with game launches the last couple of months and after going through "dead" open world games, I found GotG's rather linear progression extremely nice and laid back.
Any thoughts?
Sjur Eido, Mara's lover, and an Awoken soldier who survived leaving the Distributary, to just before the Battle of Six Fronts, was prophesized to return at some point despite her apparent death.
Upon Sjur's death, Mara cashed in a favour from Orin, which led Orin to investigate and find Xur. She was seemingly infected by dust Xur was carrying, causing her to have various hallucinations, before losing her light entirely and going on to die, becoming the Emissary. However she kept her unexpectedly strong will.
This suggests that the Nine were the potential cause for Sjur's dissapearence and seemingly faked death. If Mara was aware of this, I'm confident she would ABSOLUTELY lose her shit, being one of very few people the Nine have ever communicated directly with. Mara LITERALLY saved Sjur's life during their first encounter with the Fallen by seemingly willing her to be fine. Sjur cared for Mara so much that she barely took a second to process the worst thing Mara ever did when she was told of it.
Most importantly, we have several places in the lore which suggest the return of Sjur. Once at the end of the Wish Ender quest, once in the Sleepless lore page, and also in the strange coin left on her body, with Xur saying when questioned about it, "Dust returns, it ever returns". Also note the mention of Mara with another Women when she breaks open a Pyramid then look at the bottom of this interaction with the Nine. I'm wondering who this second Woman is, my first guesses would be either Elsie, or Orin.
Something else that I've considered lately is that we know Savathun gains the light in Witch Queen. But we don't know how. If ANYONE was worthy of th

I’m totally sold by it myself, what do we all think?
Platform(s): PC
Genre: ARGP, Isometric 2D with 3D elements (Similar to Diablo 2)
Estimated year of release: 1999
Graphics/art style: I remember it being a fairly dark style game with a medieval fantasy theme. Character carried weapons such as maces and swords. The parts I remember were mostly outdoors, and it might have been night time. I believe some of the enemies were humanoid like goblins and orcs. There may have been more but the demo only showed a few areas. Protagonist was a fit, average-tall male with dark black hair (possibly long) and wore either chainmail or leather armor. I remember the menu screen having a very purple-heavy theme to it.
Notable characters: Main character was a knight-type character with long, black hair
Notable gameplay mechanics: Point and click fighting/movement, looting, inventory management, upgrading character stats
Other details: I remember playing this game back in the late 90s/early 2000's. It was only a demo of the game, and it came on an Eidos demo pack alongside other known games such as Tomb Raider: Last Revelation and Omikron: The Nomad Soul. For some reason, my mind keeps going to something like Raventhorne or Ravenhearst for the name of the game but I haven't been able to find anything close (I know there's Blackthorne, but that is definitely not the same game, and Ravenhearst is a HOG). I remember it as a Diablo-clone that had a deeper tie to the medieval aspect, but still flourished in the fantasy realm to some extent (main character may have had magic, but I don't remember them having any.) I don't believe there was any custom characters, and it had one main protagonist. - Again, I only played the demo so these may have been restricted for that but actually possible in the main game. The protagonist was very skilled with melee weapons. I believe you started out with a longsword and leather armor, but you could equip claymores, maces, and other such weapons, and you could equip different armors on them as well. It was definitely a loot-style ARPG, but I can't remember if the equipment you could find had different qualities or rarities to them.
