A list of puns related to "Effects Pedals"
My main desire is a NightSky, Empress, Context V2, Atmosphere, Mercury 7, BigSky I have a lot of small print ones and tried a ton but I think I haven't found my holy grail. Iβm also looking for expression stuff like the Expressionator or EXH 8 Step Program. Oh and I want another Expression Ramper And could use a good ISO power unit for my back up board. But Iβm up to hear offers
I generally like weird stuff, delays, reverbs, mods, glitch, bit crushers, expression and utility stuff. Also have been thinking about making my way into the MIDI world, so maybe a midi controller of some type. Not really looking for much dirt or chorus. Maybe just a selected few.

Hey folks, so I previously had a large 50W (i think) VOX modeling amp but I sold it to a friend a while back because I didn't need it and I was fed up with messing around with all the different amp settings and effects.
I now have a number of pedals that I'm pushing through a Boss Katana mini for home practice and recording and now I'm in a band (hard rock / metal) again and I need a new amp something in the 20W-40W range for practice and I'm really struggling with what seems to be a basic concept:
If most of my tones and effects are coming from pedals, what kind of amp should I buy? I don't need effects on the amp or amp modelling or loads of features, I just need something that has a nice loud clean tone and can handle the heavy sounds I'll be pushing with my pedal board.
Something like the Behringer HA-40R seems like what I'm looking for as it's cheap and has little to no effects or amp modelling. I like the sound from reviews of the Fender Champion 40 but I honestly do not need the additional voicings that one provides.
Feeling a little stupid and a little lost at the moment so any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Oh, also I'm currently using a Behringer BA-20 bass amp to play guitar through for the last few weeks at practice to get me by
Any advice on what pedals should I use after MF unit? Iβve got Boss DD6 pedal, but I thinking about Reverberation. What reverb are you using after MF? Thanks in advance!
Am looking to upgrade from zoom G1 four effects pedal to a better unit that is all around good and can get me through gigs and recordings
Is it worth it to use guitar effect pedals for my synths when Iβm already recording into a DAW (Logic Pro) that has a ton of plugins? Just wondering if there is a massive difference in quality between hardware and software in this instance

Iβm wondering what the community uses with their Hydrasynth. Personally I think the built in effects are good, but the addition of a pedal could be a really nice addition. Iβm torn between the Eventide Space or the Hologram Microcosm.
Are these good choices or are there other options that I should know about?
Tl;DR beginner in search of a smallish multieffects pedal for home use/practice. Decent sounding, aux in and headphones out are a must. Budget up to 350β¬
Hey everyone, After several tries of learning guitar that were more stop than go and a long breaks in between I decided to get a teacher and give it my all. But I live in a flat with my wife and 15 months old son. So my practice time will be confined to the evening hours and I would like to be as quiet as possible for obvious reasons. And since space is also an issue I want to go the route of a smallish multieffects pedal with integrated amp sim which would be easy to put away when not in use.
My budget is up to 350β¬ and a headphone jack as well as an aux in port are a must for me. I would also like to have a decent number of amps and effects that should sound quite good. But I would be willing to sacrifice the amount of amps/effects if the sounds are superior to a different unit. I know I will not get quad cortex like performance in that price range but that would probably be wasted on me anyways.
I'm quite lost since there are so many options like the nux mg-30, ampero or ampero one, mooer ge 200 or maybe the new harley benton dnafx git pro. I would like to get some input from more knowledgeable people in this regard and maybe you can guide me a little bit.
Thanks in advance and have a great day.
I like amp distortion and I like using drives to boost them even further. Let's say I take Vermin dist with low gain and high level. Would it be the same as if I was driving an analog Proco Rat with the same settings to an already saturated amp for a tight metal tone?
Not looking for tips on achieving a great metal tone. Just wondering how well the HX effects can drive analogue old-school amps that are usually driven with boosts, dists and fuzzes.
Cheers!
Anyone know someone whose selling?
I just bought my first pedal but i don't know how to incorporate it into the Rumble Studio effects For example I want to have The Simple Compression effect first then add the Fuzz pedal and at the end a chorus effect Please help π
I'm relatively new to guitar (been playing about 15 months). Right now I only own two acoustics (1 is a resonator, as I'm most interested in slide guitar). I plan on purchasing my first electric sometime in 2022.
Considering I'm starting from scratch, which of these three choices makes the most sense, both budget and practicality wise?
Context: I'm not in a band, and am unlikely to be playing live with a band much anytime soon. I still mostly suck at guitar (but I'm slowly improving). My goals for 2022 are pretty modest: be able to play a few songs decently well, maybe as a duet with one other singer or musician. Eventually, I'd love to be able to play live with others. I have no illusions of any success, and I'm in my 50s, so I can't try to start a crappy rock band with my high school buddies ;-)
What would you choose, and why? At this point, I don't expect to need or want a lot of effects for my sound. But I know I want at least a few options.
Potential effects pedals I'd like to have:
I do like the concept of being able to imitate a dumble or other amp that I can't afford.
Thoughts?

Iβve personally never understood this. I always find that pedals like that take up way too much space on my board and I tend to dislike having to sit there for hours on end trying to figure out how to make the damn thing sound how I want it to. I like being able to know the exact scope of a pedal I am going to buy and having a good idea of what I plan to do with it. I also feel like more specialized pedals feel like the sound is more interesting and fun for me.
I don't get to write as often as I would like, but I recently had a chance to present a number of pieces for electric string instruments and took the chance to write something new. This is essentially a duet for electric violin and pedal-player, this one focusing on the Moutarde from Glou-Glou. It also uses a vocoder.
The harmonic content of the piece oscillates between a 12-tone row (stated in full on line 6, tempo 56) and natural overtone series. I thought it was funny to have a very lyrical 12 tone melody while the machine is "harmonizing" with natural harmonic frequencies which sound very mechanical. The text is taken from two sources, Aldous Huxley and Ted Kaczynski, both complaining about new technology.
There are still some technical issues on my side (in the pedal settings) which need to be worked out. Parts of this recording are clipping, and I had the fuzz set way too hot in the last third of the piece. But hey, that's live music for you.
For the past ten years or so I've been playing through a digitech rp355 multi-effects pedal with a line 6 spider iv amp, and I've been looking to upgrade. My music taste is sort of all over the place (reggae, alt rock, classic rock, metal, blues, etc.), so I like the versatility of the multi-effects pedal, but I'm not sure if one type of amp will work sound better than another when it comes to pedals. What is the best amp that I can get for around $200-250?
I have a practice amp from when I was a teenager and I actually love the nasty distortion on it but I canβt really gig with a 10 watt amp so Iβm looking for solutions. Could I find someone to do this or is it not plausible? Thanks so much!
Hello! I was told elsewhere that this is the sub for my question so any help would be much appreciated!
So, I have a small practice amp from when I was younger and I actually love the fizzy, lofi distortion on it but I canβt really gig with a 10 watt amp (because I play house shows/pop up venues/dive bars etc that never have sound systems) so Iβm looking for solutions. Could I find someone to do this or is it not plausible/worth it? Thanks!
Or is there a difference? I'm working a 12 hr shift right now so I can't just test this at the moment, the question is bugging me.
I have an EHX Superego, which has its own FX loop, but so does my amp. Is there a difference?
Currently running delay, reverb and loop station through my amps effects loop. Superego hasn't been used in a while and I wanna bring it back into my rig but yeah I'm not sure about this? lol
Hi modular heads, Has somebody experience with the Dreadbox effects pedal like the Komorebi delay or the others that has 3 eurorack compatible inputs and outputs? How good or bad are they? I think the idea is brilliant because like the Komorebi delay you can sync the rate of the LFO. Any info will be appreciate it. Cheers!
Hit me with your pedals!
I just watched collector//emitter Demo of the Polarbear Effects Drowner and am in love with the sound. However the pedal is jot available, neither new or used here in europe. Would anyone know of any similar pedals?
