A list of puns related to "Dvergr"
Has anyone beaten this thing yet? Iβm currently grinding to beat the last story bosses (at least I think) and I just finished the Crystals Resting Place dungeon in Musa. First time I ran the boss my whole team got afflicted with charm and couldnβt do anything so I had to get accessories to make them immune to it. When I fought him again his 4 pets seem to move like 10 times each before any of my characters. Is this a level issue? Or do I have to change my jobs setup to prioritize speed? My character levels are all around mid 40s.

Italian, Spanish and French all call it "realm of dwarves", while German has "Dvergar".
Dvergr is Old Norse for "dwarf", so I'm guessing they just didn't want to call them straight up dwarves but kept the reference... Lorewise it'd be neat if these people were all rather short.
They're like Dwarves Lite, couldn't let go the anime aesthetic.
Before I start talking about the Dvergr, here is some information that I think would be rather valuable:
I am working on a campaign setting called Dwarf Wars, and in it, the only playable races are different kinds of Dwarves, all of which are an entire race. None of them are subraces, and chances are that none of them will have subraces.
With that out of the way, here is the first draft for the Dvergr:
Dwarf Wars: Dvergr (Snow Dwarf)
Dvergr Traits
Ability Score Increase: Your Strength score increases by 2, and either your Intelligence or Wisdom score increases by 1.
Age: Dwarves mature at around 20 years old, but they're considered young until they reach the age of 50. On average, they live about 350 years.
Alignment: Why bother?
Size: Dwarves stand at around 3 feet tall, the taller ones being upwards of 4 feet tall. Your size is Small. You do not have disadvantage on Attack Rolls made with heavy weapons.
Speed: Your base walking speed is 25 feet. Your speed is not reduced by wearing heavy armor.
Darkvision: Some Dwarves possess the unique ability to see in the dark. You have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You canβt discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Snowball Fighters: At will, you can conjure a non-magical Snowball in a free hand as a Free Action, as long as you have a free hand and you are not incapacitated or unconscious. Snowballs do 1d4 cold damage, and they have the light and thrown (range 20/60) properties. You are proficient with Snowballs.
Winter Enchanters: You know the Magic Stone cantrip, which can be cast on your Snowballs. Either Intelligence or Wisdom (whichever ability score was increased by this race) is your spellcasting ability for this spell.
Mountain Born: You have resistance to cold damage. Youβre also acclimated to high altitude, including elevations above 20,000 feet.
Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common and Dwarven.
And that's about it for the Dvergr. What do you think? What should be changed?
And how would it be pronounced? Also does anyone know of some runes associated with dwarves and forge masters?
So, I main Bloodhound, and when I heard this voice lines, I wanted to know what did that mean, so, after a little research, I found out that the "Dvergr" (Dvergar, in plural), are actually the dwarves, from Norse Mythology, which are commonly associated to with stones, the underground, death, luck, magic and technology and especially theΒ Forge, so that would most likely explain why Bloodhound refers to Rampart as the children of the Dwarfs
Also, when Bloodhound pings a replicator, he also says that it was constructed by the Dvergr (or children of the Dvergr, I don't actually remember at all), so it's safe to assume that he is referring to Rampart
But, those are my thoughts, please discuss about this if you feel like it.
Edit: I also might say that it's likely that a lot of people know about this, but I just thought it was interesting :)
NiΓ°avellir, (OOC: the not sunken continent of Zealandia) is the mountainous land of the Dvergr (dwarfs). Their land resided next to Australia, which they didnβt bother trying to settle.
NiΓ°avellir was a land rich in mineral wealth, which is what the Dvergr loved more than most things. Their cities were mostly built in massive underground caverns so as they could be closer to their gold and jewels.
The Dvergr themselves werenβt an easy people to get along with. In the early days of the world they were more hostile, especially to other races when they discovered the Γlfar and the Fairies, a rouge Dvergr mage even going so far as to try and destroy the Fairies homeland. A thousand years after that, they had calmed down considerably. They disliked outsiders, but some friendships were made between them and others of other races. There were even a few marriages.
The males were what you would expect from dwarf races, most were bearded, but some shaved. The females, however, were hairless save for the hair on their scalps and quite beautiful. The Dvergr clothes were almost always laced with jewels and gems. There was even cloth that was made from gems using secret techniques that no Dvergr would ever sell.
The current king of the Dvergr was named HreiΓ°marr. Unlike the Norse myths about him, he wasnβt avaricious. He was a rare kindhearted Dvergr who was eager to form better relations with the other two races. He was wary of humans though, as they had caused the Biblical fall, but he hoped that one day they would mature. He had three sons, Fafnir, Γtr and Regin. Fafnir was captain of the guard, Γtr was a powerful mage and Regin was a master craftsman and smith.
Itβs currently the Three Thousandth Year after the building of the First Dvergr City, Thelgrin. The king's assassin has been captured. The festivities have resumed.
(OOC: If you used a character here, you can use it here too.)
Dvergr had not visited the Cave Dwellers as he felt a mystical sensation indicating that he was being stalked whenever he would go in their direction. Anytime he turned and headed in another direction, that sensation disappeared. So, he followed his Konge's other order of visiting the Giants. He had finally crossed the ice field and was now going to begin his trek through the moutains to find Vrrykhindal.
With the Developer AMA today (11/06/21), we got some long-awaited details about Valheimβs state and the future. Iβve compiled the information for you so it would be easy to overview.

Firstly, I think many of you are interested in what did the Early-Access success brought to the table and what sort of issues Iron Gates faced and how they intend to solve those:
What's been the greatest challenge with the game blowing up and becoming such a hit?
>By now I'm sure that most haven't escaped the fact that we're quite the small team actually developing Valheim, and having 7+ million customers puts a lot of pressure on us to live up to our own standards of what one should reasonably come to expect from the game in terms of quality in both content and gameplay.
>
>In hindsight, putting out the roadmap with four updates for the first year was (obviously) not a good decision, as this only exacerbated the pressure with the days going by without us being able to actually work on those promised updates.
>
>So that has been a great challenge, learning to balance the work needed to be done to improve your experience and the new stuff that we want to implement.
>
>Another great challenge has been taking care of the community. When we released into EA our small Discord channel blew up, with quite a rapid increase of more than 100k members. Our sole community manager (Lisa) was overwhelmed quickly so we had to scramble to try to find some more Community Managers to help her out (which we thankfully did).
How has Valheim's success impacted your lives?
>For me.. it has been great.

Go post NSFW jokes somewhere else. If I can't tell my kids this joke, then it is not a DAD JOKE.
If you feel it's appropriate to share NSFW jokes with your kids, that's on you. But a real, true dad joke should work for anyone's kid.
Mods... If you exist... Please, stop this madness. Rule #6 should simply not allow NSFW or (wtf) NSFL tags. Also, remember that MINORS browse this subreddit too? Why put that in rule #6, then allow NSFW???
Please consider changing rule #6. I love this sub, but the recent influx of NSFW tagged posts that get all the upvotes, just seem wrong when there are good solid DAD jokes being overlooked because of them.
Thank you,
A Dad.
So far nobody has given me a straight answer
The .arc game files can be unpacked, which reveal a variety of text unused by the game, such as:
Health originally went up by 16 per attribute point, not 20.
The player would be able to see what the last enemy attacker's chance to hit and deal a critical hit was based on his/her defensive ability.
Unused locations:

"Incising", found between "Penetrating" and "Perforating".
"Mammoth" as a prefix, while "of the Mammoth" is in-game as a suffix).
"of Impact", "of Concussion", and "of Trauma", which presumably increased daze time ("of Dazing", "of Stunning", and "Paralysis" do effectively the same thing, but for paralysis).
"of Experience" and "of Knowledge", presumably +% experience boosting items.
"of Good Fortune" and "of Endless Night".
"Corrupted", which would reduce (someone's) resistances and life % cost.
"of the Berserker", which granted high attack at the cost of defense.
"of Stone", which granted high defense at the cost of speed.
Unused shrines:
Energizing Shrine, although one does appear during the final arena of the vanilla game.
Fleetfoot Marker

An enemy type would drop Giant Eggs the same way that spiders spew webs.
Enemies would be renamed depending on the game's difficulty, such as Satyr -> Fiendish Satyr -> Child of Pan or Ice Raptor -> Snarling Ice Raptor -> Enraged Ice Raptor.
Scandinavian Yetis, Forest Bats, and Bifrost Anomalies would have shown up in Act V.
Ratatoskr ~ Wily Squirrel would have been a boss.
Honeybadgerus Scandinavicus would have shown up in Primrose's Passage.
Unused Poison, Lightning, Explosive, and Magical Traps.
Merchant dialogue is usually never displayed on-screen, but the subtitles exist.
The Spirit mastery looked very different in development, being more focused on life and energy leech.
"Dire Strike" would have been a left-mouse button skill that leeched health from the enemy to th

I am currently in the hospital. I had a back operation yesterday. The surgical nurse came in my room and started asking questions about my back. She asked me if I had any falls during the last year. I responded just one. It was after summer.
She laughed and said in 20 years of doing this she never was told that joke.

Cred once again my sis wants credit lol
Keep in mind, my son is 4 years old, so everything is an original to him.
I had to work late into the evening yesterday, and he was just going to bed when I got home. I had left home for the office nearly 14 hours prior, had a long day, lots of meetings, traffic, etc.
When I walked through the door, I was exhausted, run down, and starving. My wife hugged me and asked how my day was, and I replied, "Done. It was a good day, but has got me exhausted. I just want to grab a bite and go to bed. I'm hungry."
From my son's bedroom, I hear him shout, "Hi Hungry! Nice to meet you!"
Not only did it make me laugh, but I completely forgot about how hungry and tired I was. I went to his bedroom, and we laughed together about it. It was exactly what I needed.
Edit: Thanks for all the awards, kind strangers! I'll let my son know y'all enjoyed his joke too!
I heard parents named their children lance a lot.

Itβs currently the Three Thousandth Year after the building of the First Dvergr City, Thelgrin. However, amidst the celebration and festivities and visiting dignitaries, there is something amiss. Someone has tried to kill the king at least three times. The guards are on high alert. Many suspect the visiting dignitaries.
Option 1: Youβre a local in the main square. The ceiling of the underground city is well lit and high.
Option 2: Visiting dignitary from either FΓ¦rie or Γlfheimr.
Option 3: Use your own Elf, Dwarf or Fairy creature.
