A list of puns related to "Definition Of Sound"
Essentially, this is a harder version of "pick a top franchise villain humanity could stop" question
By including fanfic villains, a bunch of seemingly safe lowpower franchises suddenly become death traps.
Can you pick a franchise that is not only defeatable in canon, but defeatable in fanon?
You might need to ask the commenters who are familar with certain fandoms if you want a hope of survival
Crossover fics don't count
"The name denotes separatists. They prided themselves on their strict observance of the law and on the care with which they avoided contact with things gentile. Their belief included the doctrine of immortality and resurrection of the body and the existence of angels and spirits. They upheld the authority of oral tradition as of equal value with the written law. The tendency of their teaching was to reduce religion to the observance of a multiplicity of ceremonial rules and to encourage self-sufficiency and spiritual pride."
Okay so I'm not exactly looking for simply the most popular pop punk band or which band had the most influence. But rather which band defines that generic sound that you can find in hundreds of other pop punk bands whether they be famous or local. There are some great pop punk bands but there are also those bands who have that generic sound which spawns hundreds of others of the same sounding band. In my opinion, the culprit would be New Found Glory. I say them because of how average there sound is to the point where I can compare them with so many other bands (who I can't really get into) Including: All time Low, Taking back Sunday, Motion City Soundtrack, Paramore, Boys like girls, etc etc. For what it's worth though, I don't think New Found Glory is a bad band, I just think they have a certain style/sound that are heard in countless other bands. I think Good Charlotte and Simple Plan are a lot worse (and perhaps, more generic per se) but I just don't hear them in other bands as much as I do with the New Found Glory sound (if that makes any sense) Some of you are probably thinking Green Day or Blink 182 so I would like to explain simply why I don't think they fit the shoe at all. Both bands roots come from pretty much plain and simple punk rock. There first couple of albums are very fast and straight punk sounding and even when they sprouted into pop punk they both have there very own unique sound. Who else sounds like Blink 182 or Green Day? So anyway, I'd like to hear your thoughts on this question.
Hey /r/electrohouse,
Please bear with me, but this is going to be a bit of copy & paste from when I released the hardstyle section a few weeks ago, but it's all relevant. I've released a couple of these now so you might have even seen this floating around already.
I'm writing a big ol' guide for dance music.
I've begun this colossal undertaking in hopes to educate those that aren't as knowledgeable about all the hundreds of dance music genres that exist and those that are being created and changing each year. This is going to be something that likely takes a couple of months to complete, but I'd at least like to get a bit of it out there and get some feedback from people that would be using it, rather than having me just guess what should be included.
I've built a platform that allows easy addition and removal of genres, subgenres and tracks in order to keep the guide flexible and constantly evolving to keep up with the ever changing landscape of music. It is a lofty goal, but the eventual hope for this is that it will be the modern equivalent of the the famous (and very outdated) Ishkur's Electronic Music Guide.
Anyway, enough blab, here's the link:
http://thedancemusicguide.com/
It's incomplete, as I'm released genres as they're completed in order to get proper feedback on a smaller scale.
Electro House Relevant Part
Here's a direct link to the Electro House guide: http://thedancemusicguide.com/genre/electro-house
There's more info about what it is and what it hopes to achieve on the main page of the site. You can also help get involved. If you're knowledgeable about a certain genre and think you can help fill certain gaps, I'd like to hear from you (perhaps Moombahton or Garage). Though I have a fairly thorough understanding of most dance music, I do not know everything.
I think the definition of Electro House has become pretty muddy over the past few years. This is understandable, as plenty of producers are crossing genre borders and there are influences creeping in from all kinds of directions.
I think on /r/electrohouse in particular, there is a lot of confusion. Many, many tracks that hit the front page are just straight up big room house or dubstep, and I'm not sure if many people understand the distinction (and let's not even get into the progressive house vs big room house naming conventions just yet).
My take on the guide may have some

In my reading today I came across this: In an emotionally abusive relationship, one party systematically controls the other by: Undermining his or her confidence, worthiness, growth, or trust; "Gaslighting" - making him/her feel crazy or unstable; Manipulating him/her with fear or shame. Steven Stosny, Ph.D.
The definitions could then be voted on by redditors to determine the best ones. Winners would gain points which they could use to be poweful swing votes in future votes on word definitions.
Hi there!
im new to linux/suse and having trouble setting up the sound. it didnt work with a new update and then i followed a guide saying to delete the configuration of the sound card in yast and the 50-sound.conf file too. when i try to reconfigure the sound card an error occurs:
The kernel module snd-hda-intel for sound support
could not be loaded. This can be caused by incorrect
module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
ive tried a bunch of things i found online but cant figure it out. it might help to know that i also deleted a files called something like 50-sound.confbackup...probably shouldnt have done that. the guide said the config file would set itself up after reconfiguration but now it wont even reconfigure the card. any ideas? im happy to provide log files and such if i knew which ones could be helpful...
best
Hello! I'm really bad at technology so please bear with me.
Problem: my Microsoft Book Windows 10 computer's microphone cannot hear sound and appears to have spontaneously stopped working. If I connect my headphones, the microphone on the headphones work.
Troubleshooting steps taken:
System reset (while keeping personal files)
Device manager -> audio inputs and outputs -> microphone array -> update driver (no update available) -> properties ("This device is working properly").
Windows update -> check for updates (no updates available)
Hardware and sound -> manage audio devices -> recording -> microphone array (right click) -> set as default device (already done) -> set as default communication device (already done) -> spoke aloud, green bar makes no register; set up bluetooth headphones, set as default device, spoke aloud - green bar acknowledges volume. -> Switch back to Microphone array as default device -> (right click) properties -> levels -> Microphone array (already) set at 100 -> enhancements -> removed noise suppression -> general -> properties -> driver -> Driver Provider: Realtek Semiconductor Corp; Driver Date: 2018-03-28; Driver Version: 6.0.1.8242
Right click on sound icon on toolbar -> open sound settings -> Input troubleshoot -> "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem"
That's all I know how to do. Google said I should try uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it, but I couldn't exactly figure out how to do that...
Suggestions would be so appreciated. If you need any more information from my computer, please let me know how to get that and I'll post it for you!
