Cymbaline Puns

I’m going through all this via Spotify and Cymbaline …. well … I wish I could see what’s happening. Voices, someone walking, doors opening and closing « I think ». For example, on the « Live in Rome - Palaeur », from 6:39 to 9:40.

By any chance someone In this sub was there at the time and still remember what was going on …it’s only 50 years ago after all :-)

Here am I, doing something I never thought I would do: asking for help, any help, to pay for a vet bill.

I rescued Cymbaline, along with her brother Nick Furry (respectively named after one of my favourite Pink Floyd songs, and, well, I'm sure you can get her brother's name), about 18 months ago. They were 9 months old then, a bonded pair of shy black cats that no one had wanted to adopt. They are both shy and wary of strangers, but loving and kind once they get to know someone.

Unfortunately, I came to find out they both had health issues. Nick Furry had urinary issues, for which he's had to go to the emergency clinic in the middle of the night twice within the past 6 months. And Cymbaline unfortunately has stomatitis, and extremely painful condition which causes her immune system to respond to the buildup of plaque on her teeth. Her body is basically attacking itself, resulting in inflammation of the gums. It's painful, and makes it hard for her to eat. So far, we've managed to handle it without surgery, but she now needs surgery asap as it has gotten much worse. The surgery is about $1,500 CAD ($1,200 USD), and that does not include possible issues that might arise during or after the surgery.

I am well aware that is has been a hard year for everyone, and most of us are struggling. I've had to move from SoCal to BC, then BC to Ontario. I was laid off 6 weeks ago. I've had to move recently, and will have to move again soon. I've had to pay expensive emergency bills for Nick Furry, and I've had car troubles, not to mention health issues of my own that my insurance won't cover. I have no savings left, and I'm struggling to make ends meet.

It's the first time in my life that I am not able to pay for my pet's veterinary bill, and I feel so ashamed that I cannot provide for her. Please help me improve her quality of life. Every cent helps. If you cannot afford to financially help Cymbaline and I, I completely understand. But if you could share our story, it might help!

So I’ve been listening to a lot of bootlegs recently, at it happens quite often on Cymbaline that the band stops playing and some very loud door and footsteps sounds takes over for a couple of minutes, often making the audience laugh.

Does anyone knows what was the intended purpose of this? Why was everybody laughing? Did it have any visual funny visual effects or something?

Hello!

I'm having a really hard time figuring out what Gilmie is doing with the beginning chord progression on Cymbaline @KQED. I can clearly see he's playing an open E chord, but then he slides into what? Just down to pattern 2 of Em pentatonic and strumming D-G-B?

I'm finding it really hard to get the sound he has in this intro, the fact that it's pretty quiet doesn't really help out... Anyone has a better idea or even a tab of it?

EDIT: It sounds like a version of a D-chord, Dmajor7 maybe?

As the title says. The film's version of "Cymbaline" is a little bit different from the soundtrack album version. I think it's sung by someone else, also the lyrics change in one verse. Is this version available anywhere?

I like the studio recording, but the live version is up there in my top 10 Floyd songs. Thought I'd try to save myself a lot of hunting by asking here!
