A list of puns related to "Crowdfunding In Video Games"
For those unaware, Shenmue 3 is the latest Kickstarter campaign to infuriate its backers - this time by announcing a one year exclusivity deal with the Epic Games Store following their trailer at the E3 PC Games Show.
Backers who donated to the project expecting a Steam key are understandably furious and have taken to demanding refunds, which Ys Net have declined. Said backers are now urging each other to file chargebacks, regulatory complaints and even report the campaign directly to Kickstarter for an alleged breach of service.
While Ys Net did not explicitly promise backers a Steam release when launching their campaign, and had not even mentioned a Steam release until a survey went out to backers asking what copy of the game they'd like, many assumed it would be on Steam from the beginning because Steam was the de facto and fan favourite PC gaming storefront. Nobody in 2015 would have expected Epic to enter the fray and poach exclusives for their inferior launcher fraught with a lack of features, reliability issues and privacy concerns.
Regardless of whether backers have a legal case against Ys Net, Deep Silver or Epic Games... this sets a really worrying precedent for both developers and consumers when going down the crowdfunding route.
Shenmue 3 may not be the first crowdfunded game that Epic Games have poached for their own storefront (Phoenix Point and Outer Wilds), but it represents the latest, greatest and highest profile middle finger to Kickstarter backers yet, especially when the previous two projects had more lax refund policies. This is especially concerning when crowdfunding has almost become synonymous with scamming - given the amount of horror stories that have surrounded the practice.
While a decent amount of projects have successfully delivered after raising funds, many successsful low and high profile campaigns have gone bust under dubious circumstances. Others outright drain their money on strippers, alcohol and other vices. Others like Mighty No 9 do eventually deliver but with a half-assed end product that leaves th

the bushes are alive and they roam through the post-apocalyptic streets that they have taken over with their electricity.
"bush" does not rhyme with "crush" but in the title, "Crush Bushers" they rhyme, they both sound like "crush" usually sounds,
so again the title is "Crush Bushers.
#CRUSH BUSHERS
after yyou crush enough bushes (plus BTW this is all very much innuendo, where "bush" is like a woman's pubic hair but really represents what is beneath the pubic hair (the woman's sexual organ which all men* desire), and "crush" means to have sex with the woman by means of said organ.
anyway after you crush enough bushes (this reflects how men compete to "fuck" a large number of "women" (thereby satisfying the game's demand for "crushing bush") in the "real world" (as opposed to the game-world))
anyway after you crush enough bush (but games these days are so addictive, can there ever be "enough bush"? I mean that both figuratively and figuratively in another way, as in both in the game (like can there be "enough" bush in the game? (the answer is "no," we designed it so that you always want more)) and also can there be enough "bush" in the "real world" (consensus reality) (and by "bush" here I mean "sex with women" (or "pussy" if you want to express it as a sort of social commodity, which I know in some ways it is, but gawd I hate to think of it like that, there's so much affection involved when you're building a relationship))))
anyway after you crush enough bush you get a sword which is a phallic symbol obviously and then you really start "slaying" "bush"

This is my post with review about ScientificCoin project.

(ScientificCoin (science + blockchain) (crowdfunding, education, freelancing) review inspired by βStar Warsβ (+ video-version). The most realistic βgameβ for everyone)
(Note that in my post I've tried to use mnemotechnics approach with the help of "Star Wars" film series)
ScientificCoin is blockchain + science project
which tries to solve problems like:
* fundraising/crowdfunding for scientific projects;
(provide confidence for investors and advertisement for scientific projects)
* education
* monetization of scientific skills with the help of their freelancing platform;
All the parties and all the efforts are going to be rewarded with SNcoin.
The launch us scheduled on 2020. The platform is currently in Beta.

I'd like to see a video game idea become a reality. How could I use crowdfunding in order to achieve that?
I have other ideas for products too, such as a new kind of dating site.
I do not know how this was not posted here but basically I did my own research into finding out about 2Dark's main reason why it used Denuvo.
So I started of with 2Darks crowdunding page on a french crowdfunding site called Ulule. They asked for 35,000$ and they got around 37 284 $ in the end, so they succeeded. Here is their crowdfunding page (It's in french)
https://fr.ulule.com/2dark/
Now I want you to notice 2 of their FAQ questions. I roughly translated them for you (using google translate)
>On which platform will the game come out?
>We are currently making a 2Dark PC / Mac / Linux version. It is not impossible that it also comes out on consoles or tablets, but we can not currently make promises in this field .
> Which DRM will be used for 2Dark?
>2Dark will be distributed on Steam, but also by other platforms (GOG, Desura, etc.) that do not use DRM. So, logically, the version you will receive will not use DRM ...
So right there you can see the problem. The dev straight up LIED to the very people who funded their game. This is even worse than my preordering of the Dungeon Defenders, where the dev promised that the game will get free updates, then 1 year later 50 dlcs are released.
Some articles about this https://techraptor.net/content/2dark-drm-despite-crowdfunding-campaign-promise
https://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/2dark-released-without-a-linux-version-despite-promising-it-during-crowdfunding.9299/page=4
And if you are interested, here is BigBen's (Publisher who published 2dark) response on this
https://steamcommunity.com/app/435100/discussions/0/135511259334489582/
>Hello everyone,
>We have seen the discussions surrounding the 2Dark DRM system and we have heard them. >2Dark uses Denuvo Anti-Tamper DRM system. This DRM system has proven useful against piracy and many game studios make use of it in order to protect their creations. As the publisher of 2Dark, Bigben Interactive is also responsible for the protection of 2Dark and its intellectual propriety against piracy. This DRM will, in addition to Steamβs own DRM system, help the creators of 2Dark continue doing what they love: bringing great games to players!
>Gloomywoodβs crowd-funding campaign did not mention a DRM, but the campaign has evolved much more than originally anticipated. After all, there were no initial plans to develop for PS4 or Xbox One consoles, record the soundtrack with an orchestra, and provide a voice to Smith (as well as

I'm Teemu ErΓ€maa, director at Nopia Oy. Over our eight-year run, we've worked on animation projects for PlayStation, Wolfenstein, Tactic, and more - even a few Hollywood projects. We also released our first mobile game last year through a publisher.
We're based in Pori because this is where my parents are from, and where my fiancee's family is from. Pori is a small town o about 80,000 on Finland's west coast, and we're the only animation studio here. Even so, we've had a very international studio at times, with full-time employees from India, the US, and Russia. We also take several young interns in every year from local vocational schools, and most of them have gone on to work at larger Helsinki-based companies or have gone on to higher education in animation and game development. We're really proud of the fact that we are able to nurture young, local talent here.
I myself have lived in London, LA, and Prague, and worked for a VFX company called the Mill for several years.
Last Tuesday, Nopia launched a Kickstarter campaign for Alvin From Earth - an animated series with art and animation based on classic adventure games. What makes this series different is that, at the end of each episode, the viewing public will be able to vote on what happens to the main character. The concept for an interactive series is something I'd been toying with for many years, but I'd never had the right story in mind. Last year, one of our employees pitched a story that I felt fit the idea perfectly, and thus Alvin From Earth was born.
If you'd like to back the project, here is the Kickstarter link.
If you'd like to learn more about Alvin, here is the website.

AMA about employing people in Finland, running a business in Finland, running a niche business in a small city like Pori, Alvin From Earth, animation and games careers, or - anything! I'll be checking this thread all weekend.
Goals: Take over planet Earth through mankind willfully enslaving themselves in Silica neXus or at least build the largest game project ever conceived with a cult-like following through the combination of the social engagement tools from Managed Crowdsourcing and Crowdfunding efforts
