A little while ago I posted asking whether we should do a Pantera tribute to pay homage to Vinnie Paul - https://www.reddit.com/r/BedroomBands/comments/8tq7s7/should_we_do_a_pantera_cover_to_pay_tribute_to/
Well, we did it! And by "we", I mean:
/u/BuffyArlington: Vocals
/u/Jaereth: Bass
/u/AkselBT: Guitars
/u/Sinborn: Drums
/u/Granul0ma: Production
In the end, we decided to keep it real and do Cowboys From Hell.
I know recording drums is hard, so I originally thought about using a drum track. Fortunately /u/Sinborn was willing and (more than) able to put down some mighty fine live drums. Which is really cool, since this is, after all, a tribute to a great drummer.
/u/Jaereth then recorded some groovy, water-tight bass work and /u/AkselBT layered over that with his guitars (including a bad-ass rendition of the solo).
/u/BuffyArlington had the unenviable job of recording the vocals. Phil is a unique vocalist, and replicating the way he bounces from low screams to high sung vocals is mega hard. But /u/BuffyArlington totally smashed it and left his own stamp on the song.
/u/Granul0ma produced the track, mixing everything in as we went along and mastering the final product. I think you'll agree, he's done a pretty fantastic job on this one. The mix is sweet!
It was awesome watching these fantastic musicians create this thing from the ground up. And I'm stoked on the result, which to me sounds absolutely amazing.

What the Fuck is wrong with R*... Trying to make a Posse "Cowboys From Hell* then Name contains a Banned Word???.... But NPCs have called me C*** and you make my balls hard.... Like wtf lol.... Even cowboys from H3ll and Cowboys from H E L L are all banned too..stupid shit dude..
Title. Was just listening to the song and had some pretty cool ideas. Imagine a Warlock rocking a duster and The Stag with The Chaperone, or a Hunter flying through the air fanning The Last Word, or a Titan doing... Stuff. Tex Mechanica weapons or Weapons of Sorrow, I'm sure there are other armor options I'm not thinking of. Primarily, I was thinking about the lyric "out of the darkness and into the light" considering the guardians' alleged ability to wield darkness powers. I think the cinematic trailer could be dope AF.
Destiny Space Cowboys has been a fantasy of mine for a bit.
