A list of puns related to "Common Year Starting On Wednesday"
Why didn't this happen last Wednesday?
Hey everybody, Iβm starting an apprenticeship for carpentry this week, and I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for a beginner. I have some basic knowledge with woodworking, but I would be doing anything from framing a house to fine trim work with this job, any advice would be appreciated
Ontario will require proof of a full series of COVID-19 vaccines to be able to access certain non-essential services starting on Wednesday September 22nd.

#What's required where?
https://news.ontario.ca/en/release/1000779/ontario-to-require-proof-of-vaccination-in-select-settings
As of September 22, 2021, Ontarians will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination along with ID to access certain public settings and facilities. This approach focuses on higher-risk indoor public settings where face coverings cannot always be worn and includes:
Restaurants and bars (excluding outdoor patios, as well as delivery and takeout);
Nightclubs (including outdoor areas of the establishment);
Meeting and event spaces, such as banquet halls and conference/convention centres;
Facilities used for sports and fitness activities and personal fitness training, such as gyms, fitness and recreational facilities with the exception of youth recreational sport;
Sporting events;
Casinos, bingo halls and gaming establishments;
Concerts, music festivals, theatres and cinemas;
Strip clubs, bathhouses and sex clubs;
Racing venues (e.g., horse racing).
These mandatory requirements would not apply to outdoor settings where the risk of transmission is lower, including patios, with the exception of outdoor nightclub spaces given the risk associated with the setting.
In addition, these requirements will not apply to settings where people receive medical care, food from grocery stores, medical supplies and the like. Aligned with public health measures currently in place, indoor masking policies will continue to remain in place.
#How do I obtain proof?
You may already have proof. If you received an Ontario receipt following vaccination you may use that to prove you are fully vaccinated.
If you did not receive a receipt, or if you can't find yours, you can go to the provincial vaccine booking portal to generate new receipts for yourself to use. [If you do not have a health card you will need to call the provincial vaccine booking phone line listed below so they can email you proof]

βNear the end of its two-week quarantine, 88 more people aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Yokohama have tested positive for COVID-19, the health ministry said Tuesday, with 65 of them experiencing no symptoms such as fever or coughs.
Meanwhile, all passengers aboard the cruise ship who have tested negative for the virus will be allowed to start disembarking Wednesday, health minister Katsunobu Kato said Tuesday, with the ministry having finished taking test samples from all passengers.
Those who test negative will be allowed to leave between Wednesday and Friday, while those who test positive will be hospitalized. The same measures will apply to crew members.β
What an honest to god mess.
Canβt leave them on the ship as all will be infected over time and shipped to Japanese hospitals or other isolation places.
Canβt seem to get all the countries involved to come get their nationals.
So seems current answer is to live up to original quarantine end date (feb 19) and let all who test negative go free. Even though 88 more positives today. And even though it is likely impossible that all those going free will stay negative for long.
Can you imagine how the poor local Yokohama population feels? Where are these approx 1000 βwellβ passengers going to go? Will the airlines even allow them to fly (in Cambodia I think airlines are not allowing well westerdam people to fly because of ONE positive test. Can you imagine their reaction to these poor passengers!) Where will all the nationals end up if stranded.
Today is your Day 1?
Welcome to r/Loseit!
So you arenβt sure of how to start? Donβt worry! βHow do I get started?β is our most asked question. r/Loseit has helped our users lose over 1,000,000 recorded pounds and these are the steps that weβve found most useful for getting started.
#Why youβre overweight
Our bodies are amazing (yes, yours too!). In order to survive before supermarkets, we had to be able to store energy to get us through lean times, we store this energy as adipose fat tissue. If you put more energy into your body than it needs, it stores it, for (potential) later use. When you put in less than it needs, it uses the stored energy. The more energy you have stored, the more overweight you are. The trick is to get your body to use the stored energy, which can only be done if you give it less energy than it needs, consistently.
#Before You Start
The very first step is calculating your calorie needs. You can do that HERE. This will give you an approximation of your calorie needs for the day. The next step is to figure how quickly you want to lose the fat. One pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of fat per week you will need to consume 500 calories less than your TDEE (daily calorie needs from the link above). 750 calories less will result in 1.5 pounds and 1000 calories is an aggressive 2 pounds per week.
#Tracking
Here is where it begins to resemble work. The most efficient way to lose the weight you desire is to track your calorie intake. This has gotten much simpler over the years and today it can be done right from your smartphone or computer. r/loseit recommends an app like MyFitnessPal, Loseit! (unaffiliated), or Cronometer. Create an account and be honest with it about your current stats, activities, and goals. This is your tracker and no one else needs to see it so donβt cheat the numbers. Youβll find large user created databases that make logging and tracking your food and drinks easy with just the tap of the screen or the push of a button. We also highly recommend the use of a digital kitchen scale for accuracy. Knowing how much of what you're eating is more important than what you're eating. Why? This may explain it.
#Creating Your Deficit
How do you create a deficit? This is up to you. r/loseit has a few recommendations but ult
