A list of puns related to "Come Original"
Mom: Son, you need to be like Jesus was.
Son: Why would I want to be an out of work carpenter?
I went to ask my daughter:
Where do you park when you visit the moon?
(Originally I was gonna say at the parking meteor!)
But straight faced she replies:
Anywhere you can find space.
Then she grinned... (she knew what she was doing)... space dad. get it? in space....
Totally out dad joked by my own daughter.
Eileen
Me: did you bring a keedoo??
Son: what's a keedoo?
Me: opens doors.
They usually see these coming a mile away, quite an accomplishment to get both of em with an original (I'm sure this has been made up before, but I haven't heard it, oc created dad joke)
"I have my Riesens!β
So the clone is an exact duplicate, all of his talents and experience, so he sends him to work. Clone does great work, but within a few days, he comes home with a written warning. Turns out the guy has a filthy mouth, and has offended everyone. So the original guy has him stay home at their high rise and he goes back to work and apologizes. He gets home and the building is in an uproar. Guy has been swearing at the doorman, other tenants and the super. Original guy gets fed up and offers to take him to the to top floor for the view. Then he throws him over the edge.
Gets back to the apartment and the police are there to arrest him. The charge? Making an obcene clone fall.
My 4yo was being wild before his sleep time and driving mother crazy.
I walk into the room and the convo goes like this:
Me: "Are you going to calm down now"
Him: "mmmmm, maybe"
Me: "If I have to come back to this room because of this again, you are done!"
Him: "Don't call me done"
I was flabergasted. I had no reply to that.
And I swear to god he never saw Airplane or anything similar. That was pure original dad joke.
I'm still giggling :D
Man 1: With great power comes great electricity bill.
Man 2: Watt a powerful message

The manager asked, "did you have a problem with any particular part of the donut?"
I said yes. The hole thing.
(one of my only original jokes I've ever come up with.)
I don't have any original material at the moment, but the obligations are still there. So I present the following:
How do you get a baby satellite to sleep? You rocket!
Why was Peter Pan always flying? Because he Neverlands.
It takes guts to be an organ donor.
Eggs don't tell jokes because they always crack up.
What's a tree's favorite drink? Root beer!
What do you call a cow with 2 legs? Lean beef
What do you call a cow with no legs? Ground beef
What do you call a dog with no legs? It doesn't matter, he still won't come
Where do you find a dog with no legs? Right where you left him.
Me: Daddy Iβm thirsty!
My dad: Hi thirsty Iβm Fridy lets go Saturdy and get a Sundy.
Iβm sure itβs not original but it makes me laugh to think of how I was making my dad insane asking for a DRIIINNNKKK and he would always come back with this.
All offenses aside, Iβm originally from Britain and we make fun of the Irish ALL the time.
So an Irishman stumbles upon a genieβs lamp and says to himself βooh laddy what have we found here? I tink Iβll give it a rub to see if a genie appears!β
So he does, and lo, a puff of blue smoke comes pouring out of the spout, billows into the air and the genieβs form becomes solid. It speaks, βOh master of the lamp, I am your genie and I grant you three wishes.β
The Irishmanβs eyes are wide open with glee, his cheeks and nose red with fire, he shouts βtree wishes?! Thatβs just brilliant!β For me first wish, Iβll have a bottle of whiskey that never runs dry.β
The genie, eyes rolling, clicks his fingers and POOF a nice big bottle of whiskey appears before the Irishman. βWell I tink weβll have to put this to the test!β He snatches up the bottle, takes a long healthy swig, glug glug glug, and the bottle pops as he releases it from his lips, βAhhhhhhhh!!!β And to his amazement as soon as the liquid in the bottle settled, it gave a large burping βbulp!β, released a large bubble, and when the bubble popped the bottle was full again. βWELL IβLL BE! THATβS THE MOST INCREDIBLE TING!β
The genie, steadfastly unimpressed, reminded the Irishman βMaster, I will bring you fortune, splendor, reputation, treasures beyond any imagination. You have two wishes remaining. What would master want for a wish?β
The Irishman looks to the genie and says βoh tatβs easy! Iβll have two more of these!β
After a few hours of debate, no one was willing to concede, and it was decided that a vote must be held. Unfortunately, with so few friends present, it was clear that they would need to bring the vote to the greater public. The group decided that each friend would make a plea to the subreddit of their choice, and whoever received the most karma for it would win.
Adam, already undecided himself, decided to go to /r/AskReddit. He laid out the agreement, and asked that everyone vote one their favorite movie, and the one with the most votes he would use for the his friends. Unfortunately, as the votes were split in that sub, his highest post amounted to a mere 38 points.
Paul, a big proponent for the Toy Story franchise, posted to /r/nostalgia in the hopes that everyone who grew up with Toy Story would agree. Unfortunately, as there had been two sequels (with a third on the way) it wasn't exactly considered "nostalgia" and he got downvoted into oblivion.
Bill, who loved Monsters Inc., made his case using some trickery. Going to /r/news, he found a seemingly unrelated post, and made a top-level comment describing, in great detail, why Monsters Inc. was the greatest film of all time. The fact that the post was so out of context made everyone flock to it, and drew enough attention to new him over a thousand fake internet points.
Mike, who loved the Incredibles movies, decided to stay in his wheelhouse. Over the course of several hours, he created each of the family members from the Incredibles in Soulcaliber VI. Finally, he photoshopped the family together, and posted it to /r/gaming. Under normal circumstances this would have skyrocketed to the top, but the format was stale, and thus only received 20k karma. Still, Mike was confident in his victory.
While the other four friends came up with plans on how to maximize their karma gains, Chris sat silently. For hours he sat, making no posts, coming up with no original content. Finally, an hour before the deadline, he broke into his neighbor's house, stealing his copy of the Pixar movie "Up". He took a picture of his theft and posted it directly to /r/dadjokes with the title "STOLEN".
When the group got together the next day to see who got the most votes, everyone was in awe. Chris's post had over 40,000 points. "How did you know that would win?" "Easy," Chris replied. "Everyone knows stolen content on /r/dadjokes gets all the Up votes."
Firstly, I am no Dad sorry. But here goes.
I was sitting on the couch watching TV and my roommates mother comes in. Since it was November I had a decent mustache grown.
She said, "Hey soooeasyjoe that mustache really suits you. Are you going to shave it afterwards?"
I responded, "I'm not sure, originally I did not like it, but its growing on me."
This Martian went to apply for a job, despite his low qualifications. The interviewer asked about college education and the Martian said he didn't have that. When asked if he ever did that line of work before, the Martian said no. So the interviewer thanked the Martian for coming, but added that he thought that the Martian was a bit too green for the job -- hence the lawsuit.

Hi Folks, If you are a linguist then I am selling your dream car! Iβm selling an Accent, a 2004 Hyundai Accent to be precise. Even if you donβt know a bunch of languages, this car is still great for you.
Just like me, itβs been around the birthday block a few times, but thereβs still lots of life left in both of us, I guarantee! If you are looking for the perfect body, seek out a surgeon. If youβre looking for a car that will love you just the way you are, this is it. Now I know what youβre thinking, βI bet this is a junkerβ, but youβd be wrong. Next to my wife this is the best body Iβve ever had my hands on.
Whatβs wrong with it mechanically you ask? Nothing! It drives great, A/C & heat still work like a dream, breaks work, transmission shifts good, and the 1.6L engine runs great. With its age, the engine has had some parts replaced. All the belts have recently been changed, that happens with age as I just went up a few sizes myself. The washer fluid pump has been changed because itβs important to be able to have a good cry once in a while. I did an oil change in the summer and depending on how long it takes for this car to finds itβs new match, I will do another in the next month or so.
Since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Iβll give you a run down of what the interior is like. Itβs whatβs on the inside that matters anyway right? I am the 3rd owner of this car and the previous owner was a smoker. I donβt believe there is a cigarette smell anymore but the cloth seats do have little holes in them. I mean hey, when you play with fire you get burnt right? The stereo head unit has been replaced with a modern Pioneer as the original just wasnβt in tune with my musical needs as a Dj. The only real problem this pretty young thing has is the passenger rear seatbelt does not retract. Since I have two mini controllers I taxi around, Iβve had car seats in the back and have had no reason to replace the seatbelt yet. A new one is only a cool $250 from Hyundai but will take some time for delivery. There are still 4 working seatbelts in the car so if youβre traveling with another couple, Iβm sure theyβll love to cuddle up in the middle and behind you, the driver.
The trunk is spacious enough for the average trunk but just doesnβt work out so well for hauling Dj gear. The rear seats fold as easy a poker player having their bluff called, so it will give you extra room. Not much more that I can think of to tell you about but take a look at the plethora of p
... keep reading on reddit β‘This came to me this morning. I'm sure somebody has come up with it before, but for me it's original content.

The job comes with so much flexibility.
My first original dad joke.
So I would imagine he would probably be pretty proud of me sharing his "jokes" on here. Even though they were a persistent annoyance for me growing up, I almost feel like sharing them with the Reddit world kind of takes away some of the specialness. I can't claim any of these are original, but outside of my father, I've never heard anyone else use them.
#1. Whenever he has to pay for anything ANYWHERE, he says, "my name is Crime". The usual reaction is a blank stare. Then he says, "Crime doesn't pay".
#2. Anytime we go out to a restaurant and the waiter comes to hand us our check he says, "No thanks we can't stay for the drawing, you can contact us by phone if we win anything".
#3. The mother of all his "dad jokes", this one elicits the most laughter. Anytime he tells someone how he met my mom he says, "In college I used to be her tutor. I tutored her in anatomy by braille".
He'll on occasion drop others, but those are the ones I grew up with and that he still continues to use to this day. The crime joke. Every. Single. Day. I'm surprised my mother hasn't murdered him after all these years...
Original in Mandarin, so I may not have done the best job translating.
A country boy comes into the city for the first time in his life. He's never seen a skyscraper before, so he's standing on the street staring up in amazement. A city slicker walks by and says, "Excuse me sir, you realize there's a tax for counting stories don't you?"
"Oh, OK"
"How many stories did you count on this building?"
"10"
"That'll be 10 dollars please"
The country boy hands over the 10 dollars. The city guy takes the money and walks away, thinking to himself, "what a dumb hick, who'd believe such a thing as a counting-stories tax?"
The country boy walked away pretty pleased with himself, thinking, "what a dumb official, I actually counted 20 stories"
His post, which I took at face value until the DJ:
This may come as a surprise to those of you not living in Las Vegas but there are more Catholic churches than casinos.
Not surprisingly, some worshipers at Sunday services will give casino chips rather than cash when the basket is passed.
Since they get chips from many different casinos, the churches have devised a method to collect the offerings.
The churches send all their collected chips to a nearby Franciscan monastery for sorting and then the chips are taken to the casinos of origin and cashed in.
This is done by the chip monks.
I was texting my dad about using some left over coolant for my car since it's a specific type. This was our exchange.
Me: Cool if I come by after work?
Dad: That's coolant
EDIT: Formatting, submitted it from my phone originally.
Might it be possible that the origin of "your jokes are lame" comes from "I cannot stand your jokes"?
Great dadjokes never die, they just fade into common usage...
(got this from my dad, in a chain email no less.)
Do Las Vegas churches accept gambling chips?
