A list of puns related to "Collaboration Tool"
Hey Guys, this request was already asked 2 years ago, but we all know what could happen within 2 years. So ill try again: Does anybody know a self hosted tool for video collaboration like frame.io? Maybe even a next cloud plugin? There is no alternative at the moment and it would be lovely to have something for freelancers that have a server, but not the cash to payβ for a paid service like frame.io. Any recommendations are appreciated. Cheers.
I've been looking for some collab software, but it doesn't need to be live, if you're a dev, something like git.
I make music with some friends, the 3 of us have ableton, but our producing hours don't match, we've been using OneDrive and shared the folder, but it's a mess when 2 open and try to save things at the same time.
From my research, maybe BandLab would be an option, but I would like to get some other option.
Edit: will give a shot on BeatConnect
My gaming group is highly collaborative - we're playing an open world game where we regularly take a diversion for worldbuilding. We might pass on a gameplay night when folks are feeling tired by instead having a discussion along the lines of "Let's talk about The Empire - what sort of holidays do they have?"
This has made for a great dynamic world (and lifts a huge load off of me as the GM!), but keeping track of everything is a pain. We've been using Google docs, because its really easy for people to add to the docs at any point, during and after session, but it's gotten unwieldy as we've kept building. I made a WorldAnvil account, which is a great set up for worldbuilding, but to allow the rest of my players to collaborate, I'd have to go all the way up to the Grandmaster tier, which is more than I want to pay.
So, are there other tools that work like WorldAnvil - worldbuilding focused wikis - which don't charge a premium for multiple editors? Bonus if I can keep GM specific notes in the same document, and not expose that data to my players.
Im back from a long game dev hiatus and am looking for a tool to help lay out my ideas somewhere that I can easily organize. I want it to be a place where I can document ideas, their actions, have multiple people come in and contribute part of my team, and make design decisions, comment and make a roadmap or something like that.
Used to use Trello but not sure if over the last 3 years anything new has popped up? Any suggestions on what you guys/gals are using right now for project planning and implimentation?
Hey everyone,
Trying to learn about the tools being used when collaborating,
Is it just mail and Google docs/drive? Or there are others?
I am planning a series of virtual (online) workshops to create and expand a logical data model together with a small group of business analysts and data modelers across the country. Goal is to first collaboratively refine scope, functionality, extensibility, and required data entities at the semantic layer before creating DDLs / table structures etc.
The team is familiar with and has access to Visio licenses but I am wondering whether there are other / better tools for a virtual team to use in such scenario and what has worked for you. Any feedback is welcome.

This is our biggest release after the launch 5 months ago.
ToolJet is a low-code platform built on ReactJS and NestJS that can be used to build and deploy internal tools. The drag and drop application builder can be used to compose the user interface of applications and to set up events such as on click.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the new ToolJet!
I'm now two months into my first job out of college as an embedded systems engineer at a startup, primarily currently working on debugging and testing FPGA hardware in Vivado and Vitis. I worked for three years in a research lab at school with FPGAs so I have a fair amount of experience with Xilinx boards and software, however most of that work was fairly independent. Now I have to collaborate with two FPGA contractors and I've been having a really difficult time with it. For starters, they barely know how to use git, but regardless of that it doesn't seem like there even exists a good git workflow for Vivado. My boss tasked me with cleaning up our FPGA git repo and defining a process more conducive to collaboration, but after much searching it doesn't seem like there is a standard setup for Vivado version control, and all of the most common suggestions are not particularly clean or easy to use. Why in the world does Vivado not have git integration?
Maybe I'm missing something: how do you/your team handle version control and collaboration in Vivado projects?
Additionally, we want to integrate our FPGA codebase with our CI/CD pipeline for our petalinux apps and can't find any good tools for this. Any suggestions?
I'm a mixer who often has to import (from a music editor's PT session) revisions of multitrack music sessions to integrate with VO, FX, etc. and was just looking in to the whole Track Collaboration workflow. Any mixers using this cloud-based workflow to get elements into their sessions rather than re-importing tracks from somebody else's session every time there's a music or other tweak?
I'd take it over Skype for Business. Thoughts?

We have a project for creating an object detection database where we have a supervisor/domain expert and number of annotators. What's the best annotation tool for annotating bounding boxes in an image with the following features:
Hi All,
We play D&D 5E. Given the characteristics of our playing group currently, nor the in-person or the pure online game nights are working very well, therefore I am thinking about introducing a kind of hybrid play-style, where...
1.) Mode #1: We kick off an event, situation or happening through an online video platform, where we discuss the main theme, clarify questions, etc. and maybe there is some action as well. After the kick-off we continue on an online platform, in writing, where all PCs describe what their character say or do. This continues until we reach a combat scenario.
2.) Mode #2: We schedule a Roll20 session to resolve combat scenes and afterwards we go back to Mode #1.
Where I could use your advise and ideas please... I am looking for a free, online collaboration platform for Mode #1, where I can post the transcript of the kick-off event (maybe it's recording) and the PCs can comment with their characters. The platform could also provide foundations for later on recaps. I was thinking about tool like, Trello, Discord or Flock, but open to any suggestion!
Thanks in advance!
J.
Trying to come up with a cloud based collaboration solution between seller/buyer to work on controlled information up to UCNI. We currently use Microsoft 365 with a GCC high tenant. One idea, would be to enable guest access for the buyer with appropriate controls.
However, I was curious if anyone had a better idea, or a current solution in place they would be able to share.
As a developer, I have been using HTTP clients on a daily basis for years, but have always found that most solutions offer more options than I really need (and never will). I just wanted a simple client to debug the APIs I'm working on and the ability to sync data with my teammates.
The application allows users to configure the basics for a request: headers, parameters, body and authorization and then inspect the response π.
It also supports environment variables, which can be used to reuse some values in different requests. It has a request preview pane as well, showing a summary of the attributes that have been sent to the server π.
It's completely free for single developers and the macOS version can be downloaded from here. A Linux version is also available.
