Chernigov Puns

Hello! I am researching family from the Chirnihiv region. I found a relative with the last name Cheryngov, but having trouble finding information after ww2. Does anyone know resources for Ukrainian history in English?

Just my opinion. Odoyev's first national idea is 'Heirs of Chernigov', and Chernigov is a nation in the game that is releasable, so what's the problem with them having a decision to reform it? I feel like having so many releasable nations that can't be formed in any way without gaming it (releasing as vassal and then selecting 'play as') is a waste, and at the very least I feel like Chernigov has a reason to have a more legitimate 'form' option. There are so many cool releasable nations and for me it sucks because I like to RP when I play, and I cannot find a suitable way of roleplaying 'release as vassal and play as'.

I was just playing a game where I was messing around with anything and everything (with cheats, ofc course), and I wasn't really doing anything in Russia, and then I realized that... How in the hell did Chernigov get Byzantium as their junior partner (keep in mind Byzantium was still powerful when I was playing this, and also I think it's important to note that Chernigov and Byzantium were not in an alliance). How could this have happened? (just curious)

While they're no Ottomans, Prussia or Mughals, their ideas are very solid indeed. What really sticks out to me is the additional states as the first idea. If you're planning a Ruthenia game or want a "different" Russia run, perhaps consider starting as Chernigov.

I would like to pick up a balalaika. Which of these two would you choose? I consider these the same price.
