Hi all, I live in North Western Ontario and in my area there are no midwives in a 500km span. There are only 2 in Kenora, the rest in the Thunder Bay region. As such most pregnant women in the surrounding area do not have the option of seeking midwifery care. We have a House of Commons petition set up through our MP and I am wondering if anyone is willing to sign it. It takes less time to sign than to read this comment! We need 500 signatures by December 25, (Christmas, how fitting!), for it to be able to be heard at the house (Currently at 134 in 4 days!). There is no commitment or follow-up required on your end, just a confirmation email, and the petition is through the government website directly. Any willing signers would be greatly appreciated!

>Canadian lawmakers passed a controversial bill that aims to regulate programming distributed by media streaming services and social platforms like Facebook and YouTube, a measure that critics warn could infringe on individual speech.
It now goes to the Senate.
