The British Isles become part of Canada, the British government is incorporated, and the British Monarchy relocates there.

There is already significant portions of British military in Western Canada, and the distance across the Atlantic is not THAT much. What would it take for a weakened United Kingdom to fold into Canada? Post-Brexit, an evolution on CANZUK?

Is joining the Monarchist League of Canada the best way to support Monarchy as an American?

I'm entering the Military as an officer next month, so openly waving a royal banner would be frowned upon due to my oaths and my country's quite militiant republicanism. However, I have a deep admiration for traditional values and natural order, and see the Windsors as a kind of natural monarchy due to America's history.

I will be stationed near the northern border though, so i'll have plenty of opportunity to see the Dominion. Would joining the league be the best way for me to be involved?

If the Queen can't by convention intervene in a constitutional crisis to protect Britain's people and institutions... then what is the point of the monarchy?

It can't be tourism. Empty French palaces draw more tourists than inhabited British ones, on account of the fact that tourists can actually go inside them.

Edit: RIP my inbox. I'll be reading through these comments this morning. Thank you for educating an American on... the debate about the monarchy. There's a huge cross section of views here, and I'm going to read through them all, and ask questions. I'm grateful you all took the time to answer, and discuss.

The idea of Royal Families in this day and age is ridiculous. Idolizing and supporting a Monarchy idea is backward thinking for society and only supports a greater issue of privilege in society.

Why should we idolize a royal family that is blessed with a significant amount of privileges merely because of blood line from times when society was taken advantage of by the elite? In a time when we should be celebrating equivalent rights for all we still look up to royal families that have minimal purpose in this society. As an America I cannot believe anyone would think the idea of status of a Prince, Queen, King, etc. solely based on birth is acceptable. Haven’t those times past us?
