It truly baffles me how anyone can rewatch a scripted television show, like a sitcom, multiple times over without going insane

My sister is one of these people. Friends, New Girl (barf), even Grey’s Anatomy. She watches the seasons over, and over, and over, and over. Not as background noise, she attentively watches the episodes countless times all the way through the series. We aren’t talking once or twice, literally upward of 15-20 rewatches of the entire series.

This would be actual torture for me. I can barely finish one show start to back, much less start again at the beginning and devote my attention and time to it a second go around.

Truly, how on Earth do people do this? There is endless media out there. More than you could ever take in during your lifetime. And you want to rewatch something you’ve seen 20+ times AGAIN? I would feel like I were in purgatory. Not only that, I’d feel like I were pissing hours and hours of my time away.

If I’m watching a show, I at least want it to be something new to read about online or talk to other people about. I don’t know how people who do this don’t literally lose their minds. I would be crawling out of my skin to get away from the screen after watching the same. Fucking. Thing. So. Many. Times.

β€œStop judging her!! It’s her comfort show!!” β€”someone in this comment section, probably

I’m not trying to stop her, and I get the idea of a comfort show. I have my favorite show that I throw on in the background if I’m on my phone or doing work and can’t completely devote my attention to watching something.

But dear God, to make a bowl of popcorn and sit in front of the TV to attentively watch something you’ve seen an endless amount of times already, I will never understand it.

[Help needed] Funny British Radio Sitcom

Hello everyone, I hope I am not breaking any rule by posting that here, but I find myself in need of assistance. My mum is currently hospitalised far from home and bored out of her skull. She and I are huge fan of Cabin Pressure, so I am trying to find something similar for her to listen to whilst recovering. It would ideally be in the same vein as Cabin pressure, with recurring characters and a quite inoffensive humour, yet witty and cleverly written. Would anyone have a suggestion?

Thank you in advance for your help.

"We The Jury" - a 2016 British Sitcom Pilot written by James Acaster. The pilot was broadcast on BBC Two, but has since been lost after a full series was not commissioned.

I would be very interested in seeing this, as it received extremely mixed reviews at the time and the few clips I have seen online make it look like an unfunny "The Thick of It" rip-off, with baffling courtroom inaccuracies.

The plot, according to the British Comedy Guide, is as follows: "A group of idiots [are] appointed to be the jury on a murder trial."

Any chance this is floating around somewhere?
