A list of puns related to "Audio Visual"
I mean this for movies as a whole, or even just individual scenes.
Personally:
Dune - perhaps not my favourite movie, but music and cinematography are just out of this world.
Mad Max: Fury Road - grabs you by the balls and doesn't let go. The editing here is insane!
The opening scene of Gravity - just wow. As soon as the debris hits, I swear my body stops breathing for the following five minutes.
I'm sure there are numerous other moments, but I'd love to know some of your guys' favourites!
Visual audio used to have mono sound. Which I thought was balanced. People with actual hearing disabilities would focus more on visual aspect of it.
But now you have normal sound so everyone should technically have it.
You can see someone popping a medkit from multiple layers away. Atleast 3.
You can see someone being rebooted from hundreds of meters. The 2 POIs in the desert area for example. While you wouldnβt normally hear it at all.
Birds can be spotted almost every game.
Boats can be very far, with no audio but you will see with visuals.
List goes on.
I really wish 343 could implement a setting where we can determine the direction of sound (where shooting or footsteps are coming from). As a partially deaf gamer, this could help me do better particularly in modes like ranked and SWAT.
Fortnite introduced this for deaf gamers, and having a setting like that in halo would literally make my dream come true.
Does anyone know where or which developers I could contact regarding this feature and do you guys see it as a possible option?
In the past a lot of friends I played with used visual audio but it felt like a distraction, and a lot of fortnite βtipsβ creators said keep it off due to it causing fps and input delay issues. I felt like I never needed it.
But lately Iβve been having a hard time hearing things in game. I canβt tell where someone is sometimes. I have a decent headset spent $120 on it, worked great, heard everything so clear compared to my old $30 headset. But last night I was playing duo arena and my team mate was like βpeopleβ and Iβm like huh where then they dropped on me and instant sprayed me. He said if I used visual audio I wouldβve known.
I saw a post a few days ago and someone said turn on 3D headphones but it hasnβt really helped. Idk if itβs my headset or if the games sound just got worse over the past few months. What do you think?
Its become unplayable now, really frustrating. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_6uHtj6p1k .
I have an Audient ID4 XLR sound mixer that my microphone plugs into and that goes into my PC's USB.
My graphics card is a 2060 and my CPU is a ryzen 2700x, motherboard x470 ultra gaming.
I have two 144hz monitors connected.
This started originally where my monitor would just go black and the sound and visual would do the exact same as it came back on, it still occasionally does it.
But I have always had these weird stutters, but very rarely, now it seems to happen all the time. I recently cleaned out my pc which was absolutely fine, but got rid of the small amount of dust. I have done temp checks and it all seems completely fine. Please help!
Iβm seeing more people use it lately. Is it no longer changing the audio to mono? I think visual audio is very helpful for even players without a disability - but for me personally, stereo (or binaural) sound (as intended), helps even on a subconscious level.
Iβm trying to connect my wii to my tv but the tv doesnβt have a SCART input, so is there any other way I can connect it, Iβm desperate to play just dance.
Anyone got an idea?
The Regal Edwards Camarillo Palace & IMAX doesn't apparently have a true IMAX screen but from what I've read the sound is decent. That's based off of reviews from an anonymous source online though so I don't even know how much to trust that.
Does anyone know of the best theater experience in the greater Ventura area that rivals the theaters in LA?

I'm very comfortable editing in Premiere, motion graphics in After Effects. I have a degree in CG Animation (but I kind of hate animation and I don't want to pursue it anymore), and I'm currently learning 3D modelling which I'm finding very rewarding.
My goal is to be a CG generalist eventually, but for now what can someone like me do who's not really a specialist in anything yet? Anything but retail. It's numbing my brain, even if it's just a runner job in a creative space, I just need to move my life forward.
DL'd from ps+. Game ran fine till fighting unchained.
Can't get through the fight without screen tearing, hit by waves that aren't visible, boss goes into the air then instantly shows up on screen smashing me, or hit by boss while he is on other side of map.
Lost 6k tar due to this BS, and can't beat him obviously.
Anyone else get this?
Music videos are my go to when tripping, what are some of your favorites?
PERSONALLY, I think DragonHawks - Liquid Stranger & Space Jesus did it the best. Itβs so damn beautiful to trip to!
Or can it be different for everyone? Can you be experiencing psychosis with neither seeing nor hearing things? Can you have one and not the other? Or must it be both to be psychosis?

Setting the vile Jew-hater Roger Waters aside, I don't know how much you each know and/or how many of you are familar with the questionable relationship between Pink Floyd in general, its music in particular, and its repetitive historical instances of impossible-to-ignore savage antisemitic expression.
I was happily unaware of the highly unsubtle graphic Holocaust references in the lyrics in the 26 part Pink Floyd compilation known as The Wall, and its "dΜΆiΜΆsΜΆtΜΆuΜΆrΜΆbΜΆiΜΆnΜΆgΜΆ" vile Nazi imagery in their video productions, as well as - specifically - the lyrics in part 23, "Waiting for the Worms."
Until I wasn't unaware anymore. When first confronted with this information, I vehemently denied it, not because I knew it to be untrue, but because it was maddeningly inconvenient. I love Floyd.
Many Jews have tried to rationalize the more sickening lyrics with a multitude of claims in defense of the compositions that have not exactly vindicatingly borne out in interviews.
I tried to isolate and relegate in my mind all of the ugliness to the notoriously antisemitic Roger Waters, who famously - and unsuccessfully - pressured Neil Young to cancel his concert in Israel as a nod to BDS. The concert ended up being cancelled by circumstance - but not by choice, and not before some famous indignant exchanges between the two icons about freedom - not of artistic expression, but of thought - and one's license and agency to form one's own opinions and act on them.
This above exchange between Waters and Young is documented here
In the town I lived for many decades, there is a supremely talented group of musicians who, for many decades, have gotten together to stage incredible performances of a carefully choreographed Pink Floyd tribute on multiple nights over a two week period at the end of every December, each year consisting of an exceptionally played version of the band's works. Usually an entire album is selected for that year's performances, an experience replete with an all-surrounding, dazzling, multisensory immersion-extravaganza of crystal clear, perfectly played sound, psychedelic lights, smoke shows, pyrotechnics, exotically talented [and virtually borderline-pornographic pole] dancing, and, true to the original works they strive to reproduce - nauseating Nazi imagery to a varying degree, as consistent with whichever production they've currently chosen to resurrect.
The music
... keep reading on reddit β‘Anyone else experiencing enemies that play no audio or vfx(muzzle flashes) when shooting? It makes it very confusing in the middle of battle. I get this literally every fight and it's one of my biggest gripes so far. It seems to correct when in close range to an enemy but beyond like 15m they're dead silent.
Playing on PC with music off.
Fanning a chainpistol can quickly result in a visual and audio bug that sets the player up for a really bad time. The bug makes your hunter look like he's fanning forever (with sound and visual effects), the "bullets" also interact with walls and floors (creating sounds and splashes) but don't deal damage or interact with objects in any meaningful way (so, you cannot harm hunters, bosses, destroy barrels, etc.) it's purely animation and sound.
Edit to emphasize: You don't see anything of this happening yourself, only other players on the lobby will see and hear it.
I presume sharing the steps to reproduce the bug isn't a problem, as it doesn't really do any harm (except to the poor soul that has the bug and doesn't realize it), maybe this helps in fixing it:
Note: Not all steps may be mandatory, this is just how I reproduce it
**Prerequisites:**Gunslinger Mode, Fanning trait, Chainpistol (fully loaded), a bit of spare ammo
Steps:
(Like I said: Not all of these steps are necessarily mandatory, but doing them should reproduce the bug pretty reliable)
And that's about it. Your character starts reloading the gun like normal and to you, nothing looks out of the ordinary. To all other people, you are still fanning until you vault or change weapons.
In the YT Clip you can see me "performing" the glitch on an empty server.

After much research, it has been well documented that going the soundbar route is a waste of money and good sound. So, with that, I went down the rabbit hole of home theater.
Here's where I'm at:
I would like a subwoofer, but have no idea where to start. I'm trying not to go too intense on spending for audio, and a subwoofer addition is really amping up the price (no pun intended). I was leaning more towards the Paradigm Atom speakers to be able to spend more money on a sub. However, from what I have been reading, middling-priced subwoofers are a waste of money, and the recommendation is to either spend up or get a cheaper one. Are wireless subs an option, or am I a moron for even thinking that?
I plan on mounting everything to the walls and/or getting floating shelves for a super clean look. However, I'm still working out how I want to aesthetically configure everything.
My questions are as follows: what am I missing? Am I overlooking any special cables, adapters, speaker wire, speaker stands, LED lights (lol), etc? I'm pretty set mounting the TV to the wall and tucking the wires behind the wall. What reasonably priced subwoofer do you recommend with this setup?
I've been doing a lot of research and now I'm stuck. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. I have some friends coming to help with the install in a couple weeks, so I want to make sure I have everything I need. Again, this will be my first home theater install.
I appreciate any guidance!
