A list of puns related to "Artifice"
I've been playing the new Dungeon a bit and Master Runs as well. If you don't know, Master Armor from the new Dungeon is labeled "Artifice" armor. This means there is a 5th mod slot that exclusively can use an artifact mod.

AKA - you can use this to help with different builds (Especially in GM's) to get those Ammo Finder, Reload, Scavenger Mods, etc. The most valuable piece of Artifice armor is the Arms/Gauntlets, because of how Anti-Champion mods currently works. You can run 2 Anti-Champ mods + Reloader now. Or run Thermoclastic Blooming + 2 Champion Mods. Or if you have a Stasis Element and want Grenade/Melee Kickstart + Champions depending on your build. This adds more flexibility to loadouts.
IMO - Fully masterworked Exotic Armor should get the same mod slot and options. It almost feels like it's missing something, in the same spot. Give us more reasons to invest in our armor and this would be huge for endgame buildcrafters.
Which do you think is more important for a PvE main?
Its super irritating to get 58 base stat, 59, 55, 61, or at best but still average, 62 total stat Artifice armors. Its a Masters endgame content for a reason. Endgame content. But it needs endgame rewards as well. Sure, an extra mod slot is nice but whats the point if you're getting average or below average armor pieces? That won't cut it anyway.
Its nice to farm for it but also infuriating that you're getting some gold sprinkled onto garbage. Make it a bare minimum of 63 at least. There is more incentive to keep farming for that perfect stat distribution of your choice.
Spoilers for those who haven't completed the Master Dungeon yet:
Artifice Armor gives you a bonus mod slot specifically for artifact mods. It's pretty awesome and I hope it encourages more energy-efficient mods in the future.
Just a reminder, it drops from Master Dungeon only.

**sorta
So here goes. I've just read House of Artifice, sourcebook for Van Saar gangs in Necromunda.
Looks like they have a nearly completely working STC, which they keep hidden. The only problem is, that it is somewhat corrupted (apparently not Chaos; maybe just a glitch in it's AI or maybe malicious DAOT scrapcode), so it slowly poisons them and the technology they make from it.
At the heart of the Clan House is its secret STC, or Standard Template Construct system device. These rare and ancient tools are the most prized of relics to the Adeptus Mechanicus, whose agents and armies are endlessly scouring the galaxy in their quest for these venerated artefacts. Created using long-lost technologies, the STCs were given to colony ships during one of Mankindβs earlier expansions across the stars. Encoded into the imperishable hardware of each machine were the blueprints for all manner of things the colonists might need, from power sources and habitats to armoured vehicles and weapons. In an age during which so much knowledge has been lost to the slow entropy of time, each STC represents a priceless artefact, and in the case of the Van Saar STC, a near infinite source of wealth. It is around this wondrous machine that House Van Saar is built, and it is at once the blessing that affords its members continued existence, and the curse that condemns them to sickness and short lives.
Also, the Van Saar have real understanding of technology, and cleave to heresies such as innovation and adaptation.
RISE OF THE ARCHEOTEKS
*Not long after the emergence of the STC, a secretive coven of techno-savants formed around it, perhaps assembled by Van Saar himself. Realising the importance of the device and the power it offered to any who could master its secrets, these savants made efforts to ensure its safety. They were the forefathers and mothers of the Archeoteks, and everything within the Clan House has been built upon their desires. As Junkertown thrived, various Archeoteks rose to custodianship of the STC, each with their own schemes as to how to use this wondrous device for the betterment of their people, as well as keep it out of the hands of the Imperial House and, by extension, the Imperium. Some of these, like the Arachni-queen Lothrun Ves, spent her life reverse-engineering the gifts of the STC and adapting new technologies from their secrets; others, like Keples Seros, trained and dispatched thousands of agents to scour Necromunda for archaeot
... keep reading on reddit β‘I grew up mainly listening to rock, folk and other similar genres but have recently gotten more into rap and hip hop. Something I noticed going back and between the two genres is that rap almost inherently has less of a "fourth wall."
For example, if you're listening to a random Bob Dylan song, there's decent odds that the song is not Bob Dylan telling you about Bob Dylan in a literal sense. Even folk or rock songs in the first person are sung in character or else understood to be fictionalized. Although Blood on the Tracks is very autobiographical, you have to separate the reality from the fiction and parse out the analogous meaning. There's first person truth in the stories or poetry but its not 1:1.
Contrast that with rap. Although there are story songs that are over the top or fictional narratives, like Stan or one of my favorite Coup songs, almost every rap song is expected to be taken at face value. All Eyez on Me is basically two hours of Tupac telling you about his grudges and grievances. Artists are talking directly to you, not telling stories or singing in a more performative way. Like I said, there's exceptions, but I see this way more often in rap than in other genres.
So why does rap seem more likely to let you in behind the curtain? Is its more street level roots responsible for the lack of pretense and artifice? Why are singers other genres more likely to sing in character and what are some non-rap songs with an equally conversational tone.
Hey all, just had an interesting thought I figured yall could have some fun with.
Artifice (especially in 5e) is encouraged to be flavored in any number of ways. No two artificers cast the same spell the same way, perhaps one casts firebolt by shooting it out of a gun-like mechanism, or another quickly assembles a toy hummingbird that flies at such a speed it incinerates itself.
That being said, our boy LoB is considered an artificer, and a powerful one at that. How have you, if at all, described LoB's artifice? Does he use integrated tools inside his body to assemble various contraptions? Perhaps he is already wielding several arcane devices that he can use at his disposal. Or perhaps he simply wields his six-blade staff as an infusion to cast his spells from.
Lemme know what yall think.
Thanks, LC
Let me preface this by saying that I am not about to embark on some diatribe bemoaning the "politicization" of the show or the "wokeness" of the gender-related content. Au contraire, I consume a lot of leftist content. In fact, I'm something of an avid fan--I watch nonbinary POC (Khadija Mbowe), trans women (Contrapoints, Philosophy Tube), trans het men (Jammidodger) and cis non-het creators ranging from Hbomberguy to Eugene Lee Yang. Not all of this content is always explicitly political, but they all discuss gender and various other leftist concepts with some regularity.
And I have never seen a creator speak or behave like Che outside of caricatures designed by people who don't really know how nonbinary people (and especially nonbinary content creators specializing in politics and gender discussion) speak or behave. Che is just AJLT's spin on Lilly Singh, terrible humor and half-baked attempts at milquetoast WoKeNeSs included. Just the use of the WoKe MoMeNt and TrIgGeR wArNiNg soundboard effects is enough to make me die of fremdschΓ€men--but it's used so poorly that I cannot believe this is supposed to be unironic. In the first episode, Che punctuates Carrie's insinuation that she doesn't do anal with WoKe MoMeNt and, I'm sorry, what the hell is that even supposed to mean?! Anal sex and wokeness are so unrelated that the use of the soundboard isn't even funny, it's just irrelevant and stupid. And... it's cringe enough to make a joke about sex with a minor--but if you then punctuate it with TrIgGeR wArNiNg, I don't know whether to roll my eyes or vomit.
I could also go on a tangent about how the cis het guy just has to be some banal pig who contributes absolutely nothing of value to any discussion about sex and gender beyond stupid, crude stereotyping (ISN'T PUBLIC MASTURBATION FUNNY, YOU GUYS??? HAHA STRAIGHT MAN GROSS, HAHA), or about the fact that Carrie--a woman who has written a column about sex for years and has always had sex-related quips and one-liners in her back pocket--somehow becomes a bumbling and peevish wallflower over a conversation about masturbation and who somehow amused her co-stars with a joke about ?? Citi Bike ?? but I won't. And Che is so unconvincing as a podcast host that it really, truly hurts me. I thought that the podcast was supposed to tackle sex and gender, but the only material they've covered is public masturbation and stalking? And yes, Che, I'm sure that in 2021 New York City you're just *soo
... keep reading on reddit β‘Love we can get special armor from master GOA but I just can't use a 58 and 57 stat roll armor. Just finished a run and this is what I got. The non artifice armor from one secret chest was 63. Maybe once we unlock an artifice piece of armor we can then get it in master secret chests?
This is so hard to explain, but please try to follow (or help me clarify).
I ran Grasp of Avarice on this weekβs Tuesday after reset with my Warlock on both Normal and Master. Iβve been looking for the artifice gloves and they didnβt drop last week or this week. Theyβve never dropped before which was a bummer because theyβre the item I wanted most.
However, the gloves did drop in a normal run (NON artifice version).
After this morningβs bug fixes, you can now run the dungeon multiple times but only for items that have already dropped for you previously. I ran it on master mode and the gloves dropped as artifice!! My only conclusion is that if the armor dropped as a normal version it can drop in Master on repeat runs even if you had never gotten the artifice version prior.
Has that always been true? Did the bug fix somehow reset the runs for the week?
Thanks!
I've been trying to get Artifice to open a menu or something on my TI-84+CE Python calculator, but it just shows the same screen (attached). Am I doing something wrong? Do I need more storage space? I want to run assembly ;--;
It has been a long while since the last time I created a mage character. I want to make an artificer toymaker. Could you guys help me with some ideas?
Seems like both of these are aim to be Ars Magicka successors/recreations - does anyone know of a summary of the differences between the two? Do they play nice together if you install both?
