A list of puns related to "Aokigahara"
As many/most locations have mirror locations like Ruins of Alph {Hiroshima}, Slateport City {Nagasaki} and many have seemingly hidden dark connections to certain things/events. I just wondered if the forest that surrounds Mt. Fuji that is known world wide for its suicides is featured in the game in some form. I have heard some people saying Virdian Forest is the mirror version. However I dont think this is true as the area and Pallet Town was based on Satoshi's hometown Machida City. According to Bulbapedia Mt. Silver of Johto is the mirror form of Mt. Fuji. If this is true then could this be a dark connection to why Red is in the area just standing there saying only ....? It is a dark theory but would we know PKMN designers have not shied away from dark little things thrown in games that no one can ever fully prove.

Hey Mr.ballen.
Thank you so much for your very well made videos, great with serious short documentaries. I would suggest making a story, about the suicide forest in Japan. by I refer to a Danish page on the subject There are many stories about the forest, it just makes the topic even more interesting π€

Seems like a pretty and peaceful place to end it.
A friend is a forest where I grow new secrets
like freshly-ripe cherries on some unseen branch,
where I suspend the weight of my worries.
They shall hang from the limbs on twisted rope.
I shall leave my affairs as offerings drowning
so that they appear trivial in the sea of trees.
A friend is a forest of listening rocks.
It catches my breath in the porous soil;
it knows when my breathing is burden.
When night-time comes and I'm forced to weave words
into blankets too thin for the cold,
a friend is a forest to outlive us all;
that smiles when I carve silly poems on its bark
and would burn them to ashes, when needed.
