A list of puns related to "Antique Furniture"
Hello! My fiancรฉ and I just bought a home in DC, and are in need of some furniture. We love shopping at antique stores, specifically ones that focus on mid-century modern style furniture. Can anyone suggest any recommendations for shops around the area?
Thanks!
Iโm moving into an apartment this summer and was wondering what places around here had good prices/variety on used furniture and antiques ?
I'm on the hunt for an end table, but it needs to be a pretty specific size/height. I like to buy older/vintage furniture (doesn't have to be expensive).
I went to The Brass Armadillo already but couldn't find what I needed. Any antique stores out there that people know of that have a high percentage of furniture?
Thanks in advance!
Iโm in need of a dresser and I have interest in refurbishing it to fit my style. What shops in the area have you had the best luck with larger items? Would be willing to drive down the valley too. Thanks!
I got a little bored, so built myself a nice cabin, when I furnitured it with all the stuff I could find, it still looked empty. Any houses/buildings with nice decorations anywhere? Coordinates will be appreciated.
And please don't send links for antique ovens, I already have 7 of them in crates.
Hey yโallโฆ
So I struggle to find really good antique stores and thrift stores in NJ with Stuff instead of just clothing.
I know about the antique stores in Red Bank and the Golden Nugget flea market in Lambertville, but aside from that I really am looking for more.
Hi, Iโm looking to furnish my apartment! I have a specific couch in mind so Iโm not looking too much for that, more like a place that sells vintage/antique/gently used coffee tables, side tables, book cases, plant stands, stuff of that sort. Cute misc decor. I havenโt seen any around (but I just moved here so thatโs not saying much) and a google search pulls places like furniture outlet stores which isnโt exactly what Iโm going for. Any help would be appreciated!!
Hi! Iโm looking for the following DIYS and to catalog some furniture.I can offer NMT, potato starters, and some spare DIYS I have.

I read an article comparing 5 types of glue: pva, polyurethane, epoxy, ca, and hyde glue. They said that hyde glue is often used for antique furniture restoration because it's reversible and a little softer so it delicate on the wood frame. However, I'm working with a flared arm on a settee that's cracked in several places and I want to make sure it doesn't move. I don't intend on pulling the frame apart for fear of doing more damage than good so I plan on injecting the glue between the split faces. Should I try liquid hyde glue? Not sure how that would work in a syringe. Should I just use your standard pva glue? The cracks are only on unstained pieces of wood if that helps.
I have heirloom quality furniture items from my parents that I can't seem to sell. I could donate but I know based on observing how those items are treated it would just be tossed in a truck and ruined. Are there consignment stores that would take it? Are there other options?
