Hello everyone and thanks in advance for all the help!!
I recently bought a 2021 Tesla Model Y in black (upgraded from a '96 Buick Regal) and got reading about things to get to wash and maintain the car in a clean state.
As thin as the paint is, I got the car paint corrected and got a ceramic coating done (heard good things about it).
My starting point was Wet or Waterless Car Wash Wax, then on to Chemical Guys (10 things serving the same purpose but a mate did give me a gallon of CG Honey Dew Foam) to Larry and AMMO (a bit too expensive and not quite sure on what to get).
This is where /r/AutoDetailing comes in, that wiki is a godsend! Seriously. I spent a ton of time studying it, got confused with tons of products and ways, came back to it to learn more and get overwhelmed with information and choices a bit more!
Here's the list I've come up with and the questions i have, in stages (per the wiki):
Interior: 303 Aerospace Protectant? I'm guessing it will protect but won't be the cleaner. SO Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer? or the APC? ( I have a small bottle of Chemical Guys VPR) Leather Cleaner, is there a leather seat cleaning and/or protecting product with a matte finish?
Wheels: No idea what to get here. Is there a product that cleans but leaves a matte finish? Most of the cleaners I've come across usually leave a shiny tire, so I'm not even sure if expecting a matte finish on the wheels and black rims is realistic or not?
For wheel brushes, would a $20 set from Amazon give comparable results to the more
expensive Wheel Woolies?
Wash: I think I'll be going with the one bucket (Gary Dean?) method. The plan is a full wash every two weeks and a rinseless wash in between (I'm on a fairly remote, dusty island for work so it'll be needed, plus water shortage)
I have a gallon of CG Honey Dew Foam, thinking about ordering a gallon of ONR as well.
Is [Wet or Waterless Car Wash Wax](https://www.amazon.ca/Waterless-128oz-Aircraft-Quality-Guaranteed/dp/B003WM9RZW/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&m=A1SUA7J0YAZSHI&marketplaceID=A2EUQ1WTGCTBG2&
Hi all,
I have a Dell Precision 7530 laptop that I am plugging a Hiearcool USB C hub into. I bought this so I only have to plug in one thing rather then 3:
-my HDMI cord -a wireless keyboard receiver
The mouse and keyboard work fine via the hub until I plug in the hdmi cable as well - then the video comes through to my other monitor but the mouse and keyboard donβt work reliably
It seems like either the hub canβt process the data (Iβve tried two different versions of hubs) or my computer USB-C port canβt handle receiving that much data.
Is the issue on my laptops side or do I need to buy a nicer dongle hub?
Got AirPod pros that are likely replicas, and ordered new real ones from amazon I want to keep. Will repackaging replicas into new charging case, and telling amazon I want a return be the best option? Or is the serial # built into both the pod AND the case? Real ones arrived via prime a couple days ago.
**Please resist the urge to tell me to go fuck myself. I did try & search thru past posts to see if my exact question was covered first.
Curious what prep process or primer you fine folk have used for painting soft gummy plastic accessories (belts, holsters, etc). I have a couple coats of vallejo acrylic paint on Dukes hip holster and shoulder strap and it's still sticky to the touch after a couple of days of cure time.
Thanks!
This is a little long. Sorry.
When I was in college, I worked for a mobile carrier in a mall. For a young person, it was great money. I was the assistant manager, which was a fancy way of saying I was in charge of most of the store paperwork.
[A few months before]
One morning, I opened by myself and a guy approached me asking for a specific phone and kept balking at the price, asking if I could "cut him a deal though". I was confident we were BY FAR the cheapest in the area, so I told him "If you bring me a better deal, I'll beat it!". The guy does another lap, talks to other stores, and comes back. "Come on, there is nothing you can do? Can I just get a case?". I smile and say, "Sorry that's the best I can do today, but can I get your number in case we get a sale that brings the price down? (This sometimes actually did work). His entire demeanor changed and he handed me paperwork out of his bag and showed me his Id. He was from corporate LP (loss preventions). Apparently my store ranked top in the state for "excessive discounts" and "excessive waste". He then hands me a document showing all of my "friends and family" discounts. So I flip open my phone (YES IT STILL FLIPPED) and showed him all the names on the list are in my phone, thus ARE friends and family. He thanks me and says he'll stick around to talk to my boss and one other team member.
Since smartphones aren't really a big thing at the time, the LP guy starts talking to me about my job, and I ask him a little more about what exactly flagged our store. Turns out the other two people he wanted to talk to had more than 30% of their transactions marked with that discount code and our store seemed to "lose" lots of inventory. Store practice was that if you open an accessory and it was damaged in shipping, you just throw it away and grab another one. Turns out there is a process you need to follow. He showed me the form and said "you really should be between x and x a month to be considered average.
He then interviews my boss and co-worker who couldn't prove that their discounts were accurate and they were let off with a stern warning. From then on, I took on the responsibility of tracking inventory and warning the team when we were getting close to the monthly limit. Like a miracle, cases stopped breaking for the rest of the month with these announcements.
[Fast forward]
I open by myself again one morning. An older gentleman approaches me and starts screaming at me about being a "hea

So in the beginning of our relationship, my ways were a bit of a culture shock for him but he was open and willing to learn to be an equal partner. Which he was definitely trying to step away from the way he was raised to be a better person. It wasnβt until after our wedding things he starting acting this ways.
So I sat him down and spoke to him about his actions and how they needed to change or it would be the end of our marriage.
He confessed to me that at his Bux night they were all given nicknames/code names. He was given the βMPβ which he was told stood for Master βhis nameβ. After the wedding and around the time his misogynistic bullshit started he made a joke about it and his best friend (and best man of our wedding) admitted his dad chose MP and said to stood for βMan Purseβ because he wasnβt a real man and just and accessory in my life and that he was basically marrying off a disagree and getting a SIL. Given his upbringing and need to get approval from his dad etc he took great offence to these comments and made a bunch of relationship damaging choices.
We have decided to:
I am giving him 6 months to show me heβs willing to be the person he was before this event or I would be starting the processes of separation. He understands he has severely damaged our relationship and takes full responsibility for that. So only time will tell.
Thank you for all your comments and support.

Sorry for the long post!
For context, I was raised by my single father. He raised me to be totally self serving, where I learn not only to cook, clean etc but to be my own βhandy manβ. This has lead me to being very independent especially around my house. My husband on the other hand was raised to expect everything done for him and never really learn any self sustaining skills. But also raised to believe that the male is always right.
Fast forward to last week, I needed to buy a new line trimmer as my old faithful finally gave up on life. I was busy with the kids and my husband said he would go pick it up for me. I told him which one I wanted and what brand all my power tools are. He said he understood but when he came back, he had purchased one from a different brand. When I asked about it he said he thought it was better and it was also cheaper than the

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
I got my Firewood7 a month ago so thought I'd write a review.
Why I got it: I had a sticky brick runt and a couple dynavaps with an induction heater, and wanted something a bit easier to just load and hit without torches or accessories. I really wanted something on-demand, because I tend to forget I'm vaping a bowl midway through and get distracted, so session vapes are always a bit of a waste on me. I also wanted something really heavy-hitting, because the sticky brick spoiled me.
Things I like: This thing DELIVERS on just about everything I was looking for. It has been my daily go-to vape since I got it. I get huge hits off this thing. Not quite as huge as sticky brick hits, but definitely comparable in quality. I've got a high tolerance and it really packs a punch. It's definitely a mix between session-style and on-demand, but I don't really mind. I often will take two hits to start out, put it down for a while, and come back and take two or three more hits. If I have it on a low heat setting, I can get six or seven smaller hits off a bowl.
One of my favorite things about it is that it's pretty much self-cleaning, which is a huge improvement, especially on my sticky brick runtββI got so sick of changing screens every couple of days. And, you can load it right after you self-clean a bowl, and it'll be nice and pre-heated.
The learning curve wasn't too bad, it took me about a week to figure it out. I combusted a couple of times on my first day or two using it when I was still getting used to it, but haven't combusted since. It would be pretty hard for me to combust with it now, and I don't really have to pay attention to technique.
Things I like less: I have sometimes found myself wishing the bowl were a little bigger. Again, I may be spoiled coming from a sticky brick, but especially in a vape so portable, it would be cool to be able to vape larger bowls at once so I could take it on a walk or something without having to reload. This has just a bit more capacity than a dynavap. Also, the bowl itself can be a bit of a pain to load, just because it's so narrow and it's right by the battery, so I always drop little bits of herb into the battery. In general, it would be cool if it could plug directly into the wall to be charged.
Also, this may be more of a "me problem," but I have ehlers danlos syndrome, which causes me to have joint pain and limited hand strength (part of why I wanted a push-button vape in the first place!). I have foun
