A list of puns related to "Abominations Of Desolation"
I was doing some digging around online and found some off the track viewpoints that I think might reflect back on Star Wars in an interesting way: Some Christian scholars believe that Paul of Tarsus inserted the pagan God King myth of Osiris and Attis/Mithra/Baal etc. into Christianity in his letters to the Corinthians, emphasising the mystery of resurrection over the works and the teachings of Jesus, while also trying to distance Christianity from certain key teachings of Judaism. This image or motif of the God King is at the centre of Joseph Campbell's work and also the works of JG Frazer, which deeply influenced George Lucas when creating Star Wars. I am trying to get my head around how this impacts the return of our beloved character Luke Skywalker in the Episode 9; Will he just be a ghost or will there be more to it, and how will this impact the deeper mythological and philosophical underpinnings of Star Wars? Here is an excerpt of Abdul Baha's proofs of the faith from Some Answered Questions, very interesting read:
http://reference.bahai.org/en/t/ab/SAQ/saq-10.html
In it, Abdul Baha quotes Matthew saying that Jesus will return when the abomonation of desolation is set up. Daniel says the abomination of desolation will be set up "1290 years after the daily sacrifice is abolished", and Abdul Baha says this points to 1863, when Bahaullah declared.
What abomination of desolation was set up in 1863?
I didn't find an infograph posted here before so I just wanted to make one.
Why flex a game for first place at all if you are just going to bury it where hardly anyone can see it?

According to Caphi of Abyssal Chronicles (here), Tomizawa stated in his producer blog, "My other topic is an answer to a question many of you have been asking since the announcement: 'Is this game's story related to any previous Tales games?'
To that, I can answer clearly that this game is not related to any other games. Its story is entirely original and written entirely for this product."
The original post can be found on Tales Channel (here), and from a scan of what it says, it seems to be an accurate translation.
So, ToARISE confirmed to be an original, unrelated new game from the producer's own keyboard.
Fans of Sorey and Velvet will just have to hope for a cameo.
itΒ΄s still really, really fun! ItΒ΄s quite elaborate and meaty for a DLC imo. You can get a lot of hours and mileage out of it. Baranor has a very unique moveset and playstyle compared to Talion. I only miss being able to dominate the orcs a bit.
The story and characters are really neat too.
ItΒ΄s a perfect companion to the main game and makes the content on offer even more massive and impressive.
WhatΒ΄s your take on this dlc?
For years people have complained that the Hobbit movies aren't close enough to the book. I agree with this point for the first and second movies, but I strongly disagree with the third. In my opinion, the Hobbit book has a poor third act, and in this post, I am going to explain why the franchise should have taken a strong departure from the books to create a more narratively satisfying story.
Sidenote: Before I go on what may be seen as "hating" on a classic, I should explain I really like the Hobbit book up until Smaug's death.
1. Lack of an Antagonist
The Hobbit book operates as a series of small adventures within the dwarves' bigger journey to Erebor. Unlike LOTR, the trolls, goblins, and spiders do not all work for a common big bad. But this doesn't mean there isn't a big bad. In the first chapter / first 45 minutes we are told it was Smaug who drove the dwarves out of their home in the first place, and in order to return, they must confront him. Smaug is built up as the ultimate threat, and therefore should be the antagonist.
However, the books take a sharp turn when Smaug is killed by some rando, and we learn the Goblins from that one chapter have been chasing the dwarves and are the new enemies of the story. They are given next to no characterization and serve no story purpose. Ask anyone who read the book who the main villain is and I bet you they'd say Smaug. I'm honestly baffled by the Goblin Battle's inclusion.
The films, surprisingly enough, do it better, giving us the character Azog. Azog is a decent "main antagonist" for the trilogy, but it still feels like Smaug should have been the antagonist. It tries to make us hate Azog for forcing out the Dwarves from their home in Moria... but weren't they also forced out of their home Erebor by Smaug? It's needlessly confusing. Not to mention the character of Smaug is far more interesting than Azog.
Therefore, I believe the death of Smaug at the end of "Desolation of Smaug" should have ended the story.
2. Smaug's Death is Anticlimactic
Again we see a situation where the movie tries to add depth to a seemingly random event by giving us an extended and distracting subplot. In the book, we have introduced the character "Bard" in the Lake-Town chapter, but he does not play a role anywhere near the films. Bard then randomly jumps to the rescue a few chapters later and kills Smaug. The movie makes Bard a major character, but for what?
In my opinion, the "fake-out" death at the end of
