A list of puns related to "Young Animal (magazine)"
I've been genuinely curious as to whether someone has some pictures of the Young Animal issues they've collected featuring Berserk. Honestly, for true compositionists, it'd be pretty amazing to have all the issues of the manga not collected in volume format.
I was just wondering if any people owned any of the Berserk chapters collected in Young Animal, with the exception of the last one, since I know heaps of people bought that, for obvious reasons.
Hope everyone who wants a copy is able to get one without the scalpers ruining it.https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/dp/B09BY81K39/ref=s9_acsd_obs_hd_bw_b38k8x_c2_x_2_i?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-3&pf_rd_r=KMGN9JP01MKG70EKSDQW&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=dab09757-baf0-4f15-bab0-4e1944301ff3&pf_rd_i=46413011
Hi, I preordered some time ago yam 17 with Berserk 364, messages to Kentaro Miura and the poster, I originally got 2 more than I needed, I sold one and now a friend that started reading Berserk told me that he is not much into it and that he wasn't going to continue it. That horrifies me, but anyway the one that I wanted to give to him for his BD is now useless, so I'll sell it, you can check the post that I did a month ago about them for the photos. If you are interested DM me :D
Seems to be unavailable on Amazon Japan
Has anyone figured out a good way to frame the latest Young Animal? It seems too thick for a regular print or comic book frame and I'm not sure how I could display it in the middle of a shadowbox without damaging the issue
I was going to order it but it went out of stock before i could it, so i was wondering if amazon.jp was going to restock its selection or if any other site has it?
I wanted to buy the upcoming young animal magazine, skullknight only mentions cdjapan, but its sold out there. Anyone know somewhere else to preorder? I'm not trying to buy it off ebay from a scalper at 10x the price after its out.
Missed to preorder it on Amazon, now every where scalpers trying to make money.
As I will not support this, I just wanted to know if I can check of getting a copy for myself or just have to wait a few weeks until the restocks are coming.
Thanks!
UPDATE: I have misunderstood the original Tweet and as it was cleared on SkullKnight.net, we will still get the mid-April issue where we will find out if Berserk will come back on the second April issue (it's very likely to happen!). The only issue which will be skipped is the mid-May issue due to the second April issue being a double issue for the Golden Week.
Keep in mind, Miura has kept a steady pacing for the past 4 chapters (one chapter every 3 months), for nearly a whole year, which is a massive improvement. Assuming that Miura might be able to keep the same pacing for the upcoming chapter, it should come exactly in late April and if that were the case, we would have usually gotten confirmation about it in the mid-April issue, which we just learned will be missing.

Original post content:
It appears that there is some trouble in the release of the Young Animal magazine, which usually is semi-monthly (two issues a month). Usually we get updates about Berserk, about its hiatus or return, one issue prior to the actual release, so two weeks in advance for upcoming issue.
In this case, April will have only one release at the end of the month and it is unclear when we will hear updates for Berserk... we might find out once this week's issue comes out, but it's possible that Miura might not be able to guarantee a release one month in advance instead of the usual 2 weeks. It's possible that we might learn about the release just days before next month's release.
We all gotta stay tuned for more updates on this matter, it will be a long month...
I remember one issue had a story about one character's "weather rock" where if you looked at the rock you could tell the weather. Wet? Must be raining. Hidden? Snowing. Gone? Very, very windy. The magazine told lots of these odd, funny stories about a recurring cast of animal characters, and then also had some instructions on some home science experiments and craft projects you could do.
I feel like one of the animals was a monk. Not a monkey, but like a Franciscan friar. Or perhaps a Buddhist monk? I might be wrong about this; could have just been one of the stories.
I also remember that it was printed on some kind of high-quality paper, almost like cardstock; not your usual shiny magazine paper.
Edit: just remembered something more. I think the cow was an Egyptian pharaoh on the cover of at least one issue; this might have been a recurring theme. I was super into Egypt so I think that's why I bought it initially.
Second edit: I believe it was entirely hand-illustrated, no actual photographs. At least, I don't remember any photos.
And I'm not saying that people in their 40+ are old either
That's all. Go about your business.
It was a night-mare
It seems pretty clear now that Miura has decided the fastest pace for him to release new chapters with his usual quality is in monthly installments. However, what strikes me as odd is that Berserk's bi-monthly magazine Young Animal also has a Monthly magazine called Young Animal Arashi (Storm). Why do you suppose that Miura wouldn't just request to release Berserk in Arashi from now on?
Is Young Animal Magazine succesful enough that it will live longer than Berserk? And if not, where do you think will Berserk be published in case the magazine stops publishing?
