Stay home guys.

Just announced by JR East.
Why they did not pick Sengakuji is quite mysterious, but hey....
Heading to Tokyo tomorrow on an impromptu 4.5-day trip with my husband and weโre trying to decide where to stay.
We both enjoy staying out late and drinking highballs in laid-back izakayas (weโre in our mid-30s) so itโs important we stay in an area with decent nightlife but within walking distance to our hotel.
Last year, we stayed near Shinjuku/Shin-Okubo and we both realized that Shinjuku was a bit too busy for us. We really enjoyed Shimokitazawa and Koenji, though! So weโre hoping to stay in a more laid-back area where we can still stay out late for drinks then walk back to our hotel afterwards.
I hear anywhere on the Yamanote Line is ideal especially since we only have a few days to spare, any suggestions? :)
Edit: Currently eyeing hotels in Nishishinjuku and Nippori mainly due to price and distance to station.
Hey all, I've been in Tokyo for a month now and just finished school last week. I lived in Kichijoji for the month and went to school in Yotsuya, I'm not staying in Shinjuku for another week and want to try to check out places outside the Yamanote Line; I don't mean to act live I've done all of it already but I am getting a bit tired of going back to these places, especially now that my friends from school have left they're a log less fun alone.
I'm already intimately familiar with Kichijoji/Ogikubo/Nakano/Koenji, but any other requests would be greatly appreciated. I like weird food, music, and art. I've really enjoyed a bunch of the shows I've been to at Koenji High and a few I've been to in Shibuya, I'm not particularly interested in seeing in temples or shrines because I'll be in Kyoto next week, so I'd like to squeeze out some more stuff that you can only really find in Tokyo.
So far I have the tracks of the Yamanote Line right about where I want them. I'm gonna need to look for some more Tokyo assets in the workshop. Another thing that's happening right now is the scale of the roads is way too big for the size of the map at 1:1 scale, so I'm gonna have to sacrifice some of the real life roads and buildings.

Finally sorted out a map for this one! Anyone who has spent any amount of time in Tokyo would have ridden this line for sure! Once again I post this as a resource for anyone wanting to test their knowledge or know more about Tokyo.
