A list of puns related to "Wyatt Russell"
Other than the title, thereβs not much else I can add to the text box except express my anger and outrage that I felt when I found out that there were idiots who watched episode 4 of Falcon and the Winter soldier and thought to themselves βdamn I really hate this John Walker character. The way he beat a violent extremist to death with the tip of captain Americaβs shield makes me want to contact the actor that portrayed the Character on screen, and threaten him and his loved ones just because I didnβt like what I saw.β
Wyatt Russell, you most likely arenβt reading this but if for some reason you just so happen to have a Reddit account and are browsing r/marvelstudios and you come across my post, first of all Iβd like to say Iβm a big fan, and second I know youβre still kind of new to the MCU but I hope that you continue to play USAgent for as long as possible. your acting skills are phenomenal and I look forward to seeing you in the future projects.
To evoke such a widespread hatred of a character across the fan base is a testament to the acting. Long winded, cascading dialog, quoting scripture to fit their needs, the hostile hospitality, and never back down self righteousness was just brilliant.
I was trying to be aware of the techniques used and still caught myself with the Tiger King screaming in my brain: "That bitch Beverly Keene!".
Just brilliant.
Do u agree ??
in a show where all these big recurring characters are bringing their A-Game, Wyatt has been honestly knocking it OUT of the park. the personal conflict this man is portraying is exceptional -- literally the conflicting emotions translate directly to me.
my blood boils watching John sometimes and then other times i feel real sympathy for him and his journey, and the emotional flip swings violently.
i think his performance, like a lot of "you love to hate them" story characters, gets overlooked because you literally associate negative feelings with the character; at least that's how i feel sometimes. that is some of the most effective acting you can pull. overall just a compelling addition to the MCU and wanted to show some love to someone i really just realized i really haven't before

The left arm of John Walker is broken in this set photo. Notice that left arm (or hand) is the one to hold the shield.
Now, after seeing the final moment of episode 4, personally I think we're gonna see something very brutal happens to John's left arm. And I think this is one of the reasons why the shield will be taken from John although he will claim that he still take the mantle of Captain America (like a moment was shown at 0:22 mark of the mid-season sneak peak).
P/S: The interesting thing about set photos and videos being released ahead of the shows is that after watching the episodes, we can look back at them in a different and more detailed perspective compared to the first time we seeing/watching them before the episodes.
I know heβs meant to be an insufferable character, taking over the mantle of Captain America, acting the way he has in the series, as well as killing the Flag Smasher member, but I do somewhat pity Walker after episode 4. Itβs very clear the pressure of being the new Captain America is becoming too much for Walker, who also feels useless even with all his training, skills and with the shield. He just looks demoralised after the Dora Milaje beat him and Lamar, saying βThey werenβt even super soldiersβ, which adds to the fact that heβs finding it difficult to bring down an entire gang of super soldiers while trying to get Sam and Bucky to work together with him.
I think the most empathetic thing from his character is his friendship with Lamar and his initial reaction to Lamarβs death. Itβs been established they were together on missions in Afghanistan, missions Walker doesnβt seem to feel proud of, calling one the worst day of his life. Lamar really was his Bucky to Walkerβs Steve, I did feel shock at Lamarβs sudden death and then empathy for Walker at seeing his friend die right in front of him, after theyβd gone through so much.
I also think this shows the quality of writing from Malcolm Spellman, Michael Kastelein and Derek Kolstad and acting by Wyatt Russell, who manage to have scenes where Walker can start to become sympathetic, only for him to then become insufferable again. IMO, his character is very understandable when you take an objective look at his scenes and see he really was trying his hardest, but couldnβt keep up with two Avengers and super soldiers. I also think Walkerβs appearance has been a great development, going from very calm and clean shaven to someone whoβs becoming more unhinged with that awkward phase of a beard between stubble and a full beard, which only amplifies the unhinged look.
Iβm not trying to say heβs a character like Zemo who has genuinely become likeable, but from what we saw in Episode 4 I really found his character to be more complex and interesting than we first thought. I think Wyatt Russell is doing a great job and Iβd honestly like to see him appear again.
Lodge 49 was this weird, almost bizarre comedy/drama by AMC that aired for 2 seasons in 2018-2019.
The premise surrounds "Dud" Dudley, a former surfer, pool cleaner and overall chill guy who is still dealing with the disappearance of his surfer father at sea. He and his sister are pretty much bankrupt due to debt, and they are trying to move on. Then Dud discovers Lodge 49 of the "Order of the Lynx", a fraternal organization/hermetic not so secret society, and all sorts of strange ocurrences start to happen.
The show has this almost mystical feel to it, as the characters deal with matters of faith and belief in something greater than what we can see, as well as their multitude of personal problems.
The character of Dud and the events surrounding him reminded me A LOT of the Big Lebowski another chill californian going through his own little journey of weirdness.
I believe that if Falcon and Winter Soldier had come out around 2019, all the buzz around Wyat Russell could've helped it stay on the air. It definetely deserved more than what it got.
Wyatt Russell joined FatWS and made a conscious choice not to read comics or comment on the race issues of the story, because that's not his job. His job is to be the best actor he can be and do his own thing. Meanwhile Chris Evans not only read the comics but became an advocate for democracy in real life. Wyatt has also gotten hate mail for being "not cap" and is trying to brush it off. It's almost like he's becoming the character in real time, just like everyone else casted
