A list of puns related to "WrestleMania XXX"
Yes, i know this is old news. I'm a huge wrestling geek, have been my whole life. I never got behind the Bryan train though, i genuinely don't see the appeal but i do get what it's like to have a favorite wrestler get the shaft. I think he's an ok wrestler, but i do find him generic and boring as a character. Maybe i'd be a little more open to him if his fans weren't so toxic. There have been a ton of guys who haven't gotten the treatment they deseved, yet how many of them had fans completely take over their shows?
Take the 2014 royal rumble, they hijacked the whole show, booed a super face. Now, the outrage to 2015 does make sense, he went out super early. But 2014, i think it was an overreaction. There was literally no reason to expect Bryan to even be in the match, he never announced any entry. Most of the active guys who participate always announce their entry. He also had a match scheduled against Bray Wyatt and unless the roster is very bare bones (like 2012) you don't really see people pulling double duty in the rumble itself and prior matches. WWE never baited and switched Bryan fans, he already was involved in a feud with Wyatt at the time anyway.
Even if he was over, there are quite a few over people who weren't in that match. Bray wasn't there, Brock Lesnar wasn't in it, Christian wasn't in it
Mysterio on the other hand, was not a surprise, he announced his entry and everything, even cut a promo about winning the rumble the week before. It's not like they had some guest legend return at 30. I don't know if anoyone else does this, but i always keep track of who all's announced they'll be in and cross them off my list as they enter. I knew it'd be Rey because he was the last one on my list.
THe whole 2014 royal rumble outrage seems like a huge overreaction, because the audience didn't get cheated out of or lied to about his appearance, they had unreasonable expectations. It's like going to a movie with Adam Sandler and being outraged because Sandler shows up, yet Jonah Hill (Or whoever your favorite actor is) doesn't show up, despite not being advertised for being in the movie. Bray Wyatt wasn't in either and how many fans of his did you see crying about it?
They honestly seem like giant babies when they did that to the show and the subsequent weeks after, like a child not getting the candy they wanted. In comic terms, it's like if DC's fanbase wanted them to stop marketing Superman and Batman and start marketing Son of Vulcan, despite it jus

(On the RAW after Mania 29, Brock and Rock were supposed to do an angle where Lesnar beats down Rock. Unfortunately Rock got Injured at Mania 29, and was not at RAW, Rock even confirmed this match was planned a few years ago on Twitter)
Triple H Vs CM Punk.
(Seeds were planted around December 2013 with CM Punk calling out HHH and The Authority. Punk also punched HHH during the crazy βChampionship ascension ceremonyβ where the crowd goes wild for Bryan. Stephanie made Punk #1 in the Rumble, and then Kane eliminated him, which was to lead to Punk/Kane at The Chamber, and then fully start the build to Punk/HHH. But we all know what happened with Punk as he walked out on RAW after the Rumble.)
Batista Vs Randy Orton.
(We all know what happened here. Absolutely absurd that WWE thought this would work as the main event and fans would accept it).
Daniel Bryan Vs Sheamus.
(As crazy as it sounds, Vince wanted Daniel Bryan to wrestle Sheamus. Which as a match sounds good, but Bryan was so over with the crowd and the most popular guy in YEARS, for him to wrestle Sheamus was just insane while Batista Vs Orton was going to main event.
Roman Reigns Vs Dean Ambrose Vs Seth Rollins, or Roman Vs Seth/Dean handicap match or Roman Reigns Vs Dean Ambrose.
(This is a complicated one. At the time The Shield were showing dissention and it was rumored they were heading towards a breakup and a triple threat at Mania. However Seth Rollins had said that him and Ambrose knew when the breakup was going to be Roman Vs Seth and Dean in a handicap match. Meanwhile in a IG story from Cm Punk last year, he posted a pic of a match card listing for Mania XXX, which had Roman Vs Dean for the U.S title.
Big Show Vs Kane.
(This also comes from the picture CM Punk posted on his IG. Both were members of the Authority at the time)
Hello people,
I just got the game for PC and I've been playing it for a while with no problems at all until I decided to start the 2K Showcase, when I got to the match that is "D. Bryan vs HHH" on the stage Wrestlemania XXX it is in slow motion, even if I play 6-man it's fine just on this stage that this happens.
I've tried to Lower EVERYTHING and make the game run in potato mode and that still happens.
Is there a fix? I really wanted to finish the 2K Showcase because Daniel Bryan's story seems cool so far.
Ladder match for the Tag titles: The Usos def. 3MB. Andre battle royal(winner gets US title shot): Cesaro wins. Street fight: Chris Jericho def. RVD. *Jericho gets the first shot at the WWE champ. The Shield def. DX(New age outlaws and X-Pac). IC title: Dolph Ziggler w/Big E def. The Miz. Undertaker def. John Cena. The Wyatts def. Evolution. Divas title: Paige def. AJ Lee. US title: Cesaro def. Sheamus. WWE title: Daniel Bryan def. CM Punk.
I very rarely watch wrestling anymore, but just through word of mouth and a few friends who are still into it I know some of the current roster and stuff. Wrestlemania XXX was just aired in full on a sports channel in my area, and I watched a bunch of the matches. When Lesnar beats Undertaker, it comes as a genuine shock to a bulk of the audience, and chants of 'Bullshit!' and boos were heard. I myself expected Taker would win, so I was actually pleasantly surprised they had him lose, and I think it was actually a pretty ballsy thing to do.
How was this perceived at the time? Mixed reaction? Overwhelmingly negative? Positive? Did they do Undertaker dirty? Taker himself would have had to agree to do it right? Was he himself ready to let it end, and 'pass the torch' so to speak? And how is this loss perceived now? Have people flipped their feelings on it with a few years time having passed?
Pre-Show: Big E(c) def. Rey Mysterio to retain the Intercontinental Championship
Throughout the match, Mysterio used his quickness against Big E's size advantage, including performing a 619 on Big E. During a second attempt, Mysterio attempted a West Coast Pop but Big E countered the move into a Big Ending for the pinfall. After the match, both men shook hands.
The Usos def. Cody Rhodes & Goldust(c) to win the WWE Tag Team Championship
Towards the end of the match, Rhodes applied a dropkick to Jey, but was unaware that Jimmy blind-tagged in for the latter. From the back, Jey entered the ring and help deliver a double superkick and then a double top rope diving splash to Rhodes, to win the match and the titles.
Cesaro wins the 35-Man AndrΓ© the Giant Memorial Battle Royal for the Memorial Trophy by last eliminating Big Show
Yoshi, Maddox and Brodus were eliminated by Khali, followed by Khali himself by the three members of 3MB, who were all eliminated by Henry, who was in turn eliminated by Ryback. Fandango eliminated Miz and showboated on the ring apron, so Sheamus delivered over 20 forearm clubs to Fandango's chest and eliminated him. Cesaro eliminated Kidd with a European uppercut and then threw Kingston out of the ring, but Kingston survived because his feet landed on the ring steps. Kingston returned to the match but Sheamus later eliminated him. Del Rio, who had earlier eliminated The New Age Outlaws, eliminated Ziggler to leave himself, Sheamus, Cesaro and Big Show as the final four men. Del Rio and Sheamus eliminated each other, leaving Cesaro and Show to fight back and forth until Cesaro lifted Show and body slammed him out of the ring to become the victor, mirroring Hulk Hogan's momentous body slam of AndrΓ© the Giant at WrestleMania III.
Other participants in order of elimination: Yoshi Tatsu, Brad Maddox, Brodus Clay, The Great Khali, Zack Ryder, Darren Young, Drew McIntyre, Jinder Mahal, Heath Slater, Mark Henry, Titus O'Neil, The Miz, Santino Marella, Xavier Woods, Damien Sandow, Justin Gabriel, David Otunga, Fernando, Diego, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, Fandango, R-Truth, Sin Cara, Tyson Kidd, Curtis Axel, Ryback, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus

1st match
Daniel Bryan vs HHH
The same qualifying match for the main event with the same result. Banger.
2nd match
Wyatts vs The Shield
The two hottest stables in wrestling. The Wyatts win here. The Shield will look good when they beat Evolution next month.
3rd match
AJ Lee (C) vs Kaitlyn
Scrap the clusterfuck and give these women 10 minutes to work. They were always magic together. Kaitlyn wins the the belt here after a year of chasing.
4th match
Lesnar vs Batista
More of a match made out of left over stars than one with a deep narrative. But you don't need one. Because hausa fights are great.
Lesnar wins here, which means that if you're following my booking, leaves Brock Lesnar undefeated so far.
5th match
John Cena vs The Undertaker
So this is a fun one. John Cena cheats to beat The Undertaker to end the streak and turns heel.
Sorry, too good to pass up.
6th match
Cesaro wins the Andre
Yeah the same match because Cesaro winning was great, just the booking afterward was disappointing.
7th match
Orton (C) vs Bryan no holds barred
This is a lot more cleaner. Basically it goes very much the same way except when Bryan is about to win, HHH and Batista comes out and this is where we get all the 3 on 1 Evolution stuff (this being there first reunion on screen which should serve as a great fake out ending) leading to an enormous Bryan comeback and Bryan taps Randy Orton out to win the WWE world Heavyweight championship. God do I miss Wrestlemania 30.
Aftermath: Bryan unfortunately relinquishes the belt soon afterward where it is later won by one Cesaro who goes on a several month long reign until he is dethroned by an undefeated Brock Lesnar (see where I'm going), The Shield beat Evolution and do the whole Seth turn, and Cena goes on his own run of non title dominance which is a story for another time.

Hello, I was considering purchasing the WM 30 bluray however I really wanted to know whether or not it included the Daniel Bryan Monster video package
Really glad that WWE are showing a match like this in particular considering that it has direct storyline impact on a WrestleMania match this year. What are everyone's thoughts now after 6 years?
My best guesses:

Given we've had 31 WrestleManias before this year and March is 31 days long, I thought it would be fun to set up "31 For 31," a daily discussion thread where we can watch and talk about individual WrestleManias. If you're into the idea, feel free to upvote; if you're not, I'm sure I'll lose interest around day six or so and you'll never have to see these again.

TRIVIA!
Build To Extreme Rules
After the apparent collapse of the Real Americans, we see Zeb Colter backstage in a desperate effort to get Cesaro back on the same page as Swagger. βCesaro, itβs the we people, not just you the person. What you are doing is conceited and selfish and completely unpatriotic.β Cesaro replies βYou know something youβre right, I am looking for my own self interest because you certainly didnβt look after my interest by pairing me with Swagger. You only wanted someone that could hold his dead weight. So since you couldnβt look after my own self interest I found someone who would...β Paul Heyman pops up backstage and reveals that Cesaro is the next Paul Heyman guy, as the crowd is left in shock. Swagger and Cesaro get in a brawl, solidifying that this is the point of no return.
The next week, Heyman says that Cesaro is the latest in the fabric of legendary superstars he has managed such as CM Punk and Brock Lesnar. Cesaro has always been on the cusp of greatness as he is one of the best in ring technician in WWE today, but he needed someone who will push him to finally grasp the brass ring that has eluded him for so long. Swagger then comes out and demands a match with Cesaro at Extreme Rules, but Heyman denies the offer, saying that there needs to be more stakes than just a pure grudge match, his client fights for championships, not to settle childish vendetta. Triple H comes out and announces that at Extreme Rules it will be Cesaro vs Jack Swagger to determine the Number One Contender for the United States Championship. Zeb Colter vows that Swagger will avenge the treasonous acts of Cesaro and bring back the United States Title back to not just any American but a real American like Jack Swagger.
Extreme Rules: Jack Swagger vs Cesaro to become Number One Contender
The two put on a bruiser of a match as we get many entertaining interactions between Colter and Heyman. Cesaro nails Swagger with the Neutralizer and goes for the cover. 1...2 Colter tries to hit the ref but Heyman absorbs the blow and makes the sacrifice as Cesaro picks up the win! Cesaro towers over Colter as he falls to the ground and Cesaro grabs him by the legs and does his infamous Cesaro swing, allowing the vertigo to sink into the brain tissue of Colter before letting him go. Cesaro reaps the benefit of having Heyman by his side as he puts the past in the past.

After a devestating loss, we see a down on his luck Cesaro, looking to rebound after a memorable United States Championship reign. Over the weeks, we see Cesaro lose matches to the likes of Ryback and Bad News Barrett, as tensions grow between him and Heyman. Heyman talks to Cesaro saying that at TLC, Cesaro needs to go up against the best to best, someone who will push him to excel, and who better than someone that has trained in the famed Hart dungeon, Tyson Kid. Cesaro despondently takes the match knowing that there really isnβt much more to lose.
TLC: Cesaro vs Tyson Kid
In an incredible showcase, these two put on an absolute masterpiece, featuring Cesaro showing flashes of his old self but ultimately Tyson Kid wins the match using the sharpshooter.
Build To Royal Rumble
The night after the match, we see Cesaro approach Tyson Kid with no sense of grief or vengeance in his eye, only mere respect. Cesaro thanks Tyson Kid for an incredible match and for helping him snap out of his losing streak. He asks Tyson Kid that he wants to learn from him as he was very impressed by his in ring capabilities. Tyson Kid welcomes him with open arms and we see many vignettes of them practicing the famous moves featured in the Hart arsenal. Heyman warns Cesaro that joining a tag team will only bring him further down much like how it did when he teamed with Swagger. Cesaro assures Heyman that he knows what he is doing and that maybe a couple of new moves in his arsenal will help further motivate him.
Royal Rumble: 30 Man Rumble
Cesaro comes out at number 7 and has an iron man run, showing that his training in the Hart dungeon is ultimately paying off. He even breaks the record of most Rumble eliminations by eliminating a whopping 14 men, nearly half the field. The final two are him and an all two familiar foe in Sami Zayn who started this downward spiral. The two brawl in another classic and Cesaro uses a refined sharpshooter to weaken the aerial abilities of Zayn. Cesaro nails his famous uppercut as he tosses Zayn over the top rope, Cesaro wins the Royal Rumble!
Build To Fastlane
We see yet again, Paul Heyman talk up his client Cesaro, taking all of the credit of Tyson Kidd and the training of the Hart Dungeon. However Cesaro interjects himself into Heymanβs promo, something we rarely see. βPaul you do realize that Iβm going up against your client, Lesnar. You need to tell me where your loyalty lies.β Heyman grows mad. βWhere my loyalties
