In the movie While You Were Sleeping, a man falls onto railway tracks and is knocked unconscious. Sandra Bullock jumps down onto the railway tracks, and risks her own life to save the man. Later she's at the hospital with the now comatose man and pretends to be his fiancée to his family. She could have told the truth at any time, or just left and never returned. However, she continues this risky ruse throughout the film.

 

At her apartment you see her dipping an Oreo into some milk which is in her cat's bowl and then eats it. Many cats are known to suffer from Toxoplasmosis, which is a parasite that can also infect humans when they come into contact with cat feces. Cat feces are present in their mouths as they lick themselves clean after defecating. Sandra Bullock's character dipped her Oreo into her cat's butt-mouth milk, and ate it.

 

The effects of Toxoplasmosis on humans include engaging in risk taking behaviour, which could include jumping down onto railway tracks, or impersonating a comatose man's fiancée.

I’m not a bing watcher but last night I stayed up till 3am every night for the last three days just so I could watch While You Were Sleeping. Now that I’m done with it I have this huge void inside me because I’m not sure how I’ll be able to move on or find a drama that can even come close to how much I loved WYWS. I’ve been in a drama slump for awhile so I’ve mainly just been rewatching stuff because I could never make it past the fifth episode before dropping it so to finish WYWS that last is surprisingly. I just adore this drama so much. I ended up giving it a 10/10 which I didn’t expect because the first half I wasn’t that invested. I decided that despite the flaws/plot holes I truly loved this drama so I was going to rate it based on how I felt. I acknowledge the many many many downsides to this drama but honestly? I was able to overlook them because of a few things. The recs don’t have to contain all these elements or even be the same genre but I just want to give you an idea on WHY I enjoyed it so much because I know a lot of people hated it.

—The plot: there are some holes and inconsistencies but for the most part i thought they managed to connect even the smallest/insignificant details or people into the bigger. The concept of dreaming about the future was very unique and I really liked how as the drama went on we began to learn more about it. Sometimes it was confusing though but I just pushed through and by the end almost everything made sense. Even the court cases all caught my attention and had me invested! The plot was also fast paced. It did get draggy toward the middle but I didn’t mind it.

—The Found Family Theme: one of my favorite tropes in media but especially in Korean dramas is found family! The majority of my favorite dramas all have this theme, even if it is more subtle, so I was excited to see that WYWS not only have a huge found family between the FL + ML + SML + a few other people but it also existed within the Prosecution office and with the side characters. The bond between the characters was so beautiful and hilarious at the same time.

—The Three Flying Dragons: aka Hong Ju (FL), Jae Chan (ML), and Woo Tak (SML). I did have slight SLS but I loved Hong Ju/Jae Chan together too so I didn’t care who she ended up with. One thing I loved about this drama is that the love triangle was not even a full blown love triangle in the typical sense? Of course the SML liked the FL but he was never pushy or even hostile t

Not sure if im experiencing this rn. The last couple days I've had trouble staying asleep until 5am where I'll have ear burning for a while and then I can sleep the rest of the night. Yesterday it gave me a tingling sensation during daytime and today my ears burn in silence. I noticed I can barely hear the hum of my AC over my mild tinnitus when I'm in bed (its in the other room and I sleep with earplugs in so I didn't think much of it, the AC also isn't on constantly). idk if it's that or it might just be a random pain spike lately. Or worst-case scenario is it possible to snore in your sleep and get H setbacks from it? Really hoping it's not that. idk how the rules of H apply to being asleep, so I'm curious if anyone's had this kind of thing happen from too much noise while they were asleep.

Leaving the AC off when I sleep now, but God this is all so discouraging with how much i'm trying to stay in silence.

And I remember a lot of dreams when I wake up, so I hastily text people in the morning with as many details I remember. I have had inception like dreams twice, once it was a three layer dream and the other was two layer dream. I have had dreams that have continued across two nights, like a first and second half of a movie. I once had a dream that had an angry elephant in it and when I searched the interpretation, it meant there is great trouble ahead in your career. I got laid off from my job then. And then later I had a dream with a lion cub in it. The interpretation for that is prosperity. I got the next job with a great pay package. I love having my friends in my dream and telling them about it. Hope this continues.

Woke up to find 2 new weird apps installed on my Android phone. I then noticed Amazon app was hacked.

I woke up to find 2 apps, 'Call Arab' and a File Locker type app installed on my phone. I know it was last night because a Android theme I installed was installed before these. I then went to check Amazon item I bought and found the app signed out. I found this odd but didn't connect the two. I resigned in and it had me change my password, then found 3 gift cards purchased through my account.

I contacted support and they sent the Fraud dept after it and I guess I'll get my money back. What's odd to me is how would someone install 2 new apps on my phone? I don't have my Play Store set to ask for a password but still how could they connect to my phone?

Also my Amazon acct does not use my Gmail accounts so it's scary that they could get into my Google account and then somehow hack into Amazon.

Guys, all of you who talked about the drama in this sub: Thankyou soo much. It was such a satisfying show to watch after TKEM. It left me feeling all warm and fuzzy. Aigoo, gave me all the right feels. Will I ever get over this drama? Also, please suggest what I should watch after this? You guys are the bestt

I finished While You Were Sleeping series and just watched the first episode of I Hear Your Voice and it seems to set up almost the same plot.

Would you wake up or would you just sleep harder

Just finished While You Were Sleeping and found it to be beautifully written, albeit a bit lacking in a few ways. This is spoiler free and spoilers have been appropriately hidden!

THE PROS

• Great writing with well planned and executed plot twists >!I mean I never saw the Mr. Choi moment coming and actually gasped!< to keep the story going.
• Strong episodes from the start (I mean that first episode was crazy good) and very solidly plot packed in each episode
• The transitions between scenes were * chefs kiss * beautiful and artistic.
• The characters remained true to who they were throughout and never wavered in a way that didn’t make sense towards their character development. I liked how they were reliable in that way!
• Amazing performances by some of the side characters. Truly I sobbed along with >!Mr. Choi and Police Sunbae in their emotional scenes as well as TAs dad!< and loved the relationship between Seung Won and ML as they were great at acting as caring and playful brothers. Also the talent of the younger actors were truly great. A huge thumbs up to the kid who played younger ML.
• Do I even have to talk about the cute leads? All three of them were adorable and good people through and through.

THE CONS

• The layout of the story remained consistently and sadly, the same. It was a tirade of never ending crimes which the dreams helped with and the three leads coming to save the day. I expected a lot more from the dreams and expected a larger plot point that was scarier than the smaller and often unrelated ones scattered throughout.
• Honestly, would’ve liked U Tak to shine a bit more but maybe that’s just because I have a bias towards the actor (lol ^^)
• A bit slow and not as romantic as I thought. The romantic moments didn’t really give butterflies in that they had a warm and comforting relationship rather than ones that we might’ve expected out of a fluffier Kdrama.
• Would’ve liked a lot more development of the Big Bad Guy. >! We know he used to be moral and I’d love to know why he suddenly became the person he was at the end !<
• The ending scene was...eh. >! liked the monologue and everything just found the kissing scene to be overdone in a lot of kdramas already. Also would’ve wanted U Tak to be there :( !<

Really enjoyed both of these shows. I also realized I liked them because I liked the characters a lot especially the female leads. Recommend me anything similar or just something you enjoy.

Watching Vagabond made me fall in love with Suzy (now she's only second to Park Min Young, but I digress). Some of her popular works from what I searched are Uncontrollably Fond (which I would not watch, I don't watch kdramas to cry) and WYWS.

Is it comparable to Healer in terms of tone and content? From reviews it seems like the 2 leads solve crimes while a romance is also on the plate. Can anyone who has watched it chime in? And for that matter, any other good Suzy drama recommendations?

Tomorrow with you, strong girl bong soon and while you were sleeping were good because it has a super natural feel to it along with the romance so it was good.

Im a big fan of all of these for having a pretty good split between the male and female leads, I get to see their growth on their own along with the cute scenes together
