A list of puns related to "Victor Mature"
...asking if he could become a member of the club. The membership director explained their policy that no actors were allowed to join. Victor Mature replied, "But sir, I've made 64 movies that prove I am no actor!"
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
In Curse of Strahd the players meet the tyrannical Baron Vargas Vallakovich (and his family) who terrorizes the people of Vallaki by forcing them to appear joyful and content all the time. It is fair to say that in most adventures the adventurers will either irrevocably dispose of the Burgomaster or enact some other dreadful end to his rulership. Lady Fiona Wachter then becomes a promising candidate for the burgomistress. The following resource is meant to give them DM a guideline for how to continue the adventure if Lady Wachter should manage to take power in the city of Vallaki.
After taking power in Vallaki, Lady Wachter begins to transform this village blighted by the insanity of Baron Vargas, into a city worthy of Strahd's praise. She is well aware that her newfound power stands on unsteady ground and, in order to maintain and nurture it, she must show the people what she people what she is capable of.
In the immediate aftermath of whatever led to Baron Vargas' fall, Lady Wachter immediately removes anything and everything that reminds people of the former Burgomaster and his family. In addition to that, the intends to smother any faith in the Morninglord that might have taken root in this town. Though she isn't quite bold enough to destroy St. Andral's church, she seeks infernal help to dissuade people from associating with Father Petrovich, this charlatan of a false god. Strahd is the only entity that deserves the faith of the people. After all, he is the ancient. He is the land.
Ghost Quarter (by Peter Mohrbacher, MTG: Innistrad)
Lady Wachter hated Baron Vargas with a fiery passion. His son (Victor) was responsible for the ghastly fate that befell her daughter (Stella). Now that she is in power, she intends to change things and eliminate every last remnant that might remind people of this dreadful family that, in her eyes, was a blight on this city. Generally speaking Lady Wachter has 3 main goals beside ruling Vallaki.

βI am probably a type Oβ said the rabbit.
The doctor says it terminal.

For those of you who are unable to buy the published edition no worries, the free Reddit edition can still be found here: Book 1, chapter 1
(It's not quite as polished as the published version yet. Maybe one day I'll have enough time to go back and repost all 57 chapters of book 1...again, but sadly it's all I can do to keep up with my writing/editing schedule right now, sorry!)

Of Men and Dragons, Book 2 Chapter 48, Part 2

Jan'kul stood on the palisade wall, staring out into the darkness. The workers were manning the wall with the guards in shifts, allowing everyone to rotate and stay relatively fresh. But, as the woodworker stared into the night, his gastrophetes in hand, his mind wandered.
A large part of Jan'kul's mind wished he was going with everyone when they left on their journey. It was the pull of adventure that brought him out to this outpost last winter to see and experience all the amazing things he had. True, his mate was strong and independent, and his daughter was almost grown and ready to go out on her own, but a winter away from his family and leaving for good were two very different things.
The woodworker sighed in resignation and acceptance. He'd made the right decision, but that doesn't mean he didn't experience some regret. He was the only worker out of the original outpost crew who wasn't going. Though that could work in his favor as much as against it. With the departure of Lady Fea'en, he would now be one of the most experienced woodworkers in the village. Maybe he could use that to increase his station in the village. If he thought about it, things were actually looking up for him!
So why was his mind still wandering as he envisioned a future he'd never have...

Basic diagram of the CMBX towers and the big \"mall\" short
In these posts, I talked about how diving into Tuesday Morning being shorted to shit (92 days to cover) on its old ticker made me find its connections to CMBS loans, along with GME's CMBS loans. I mentioned how in Pt. 3, these CMBS loans were teetering over the rise of Amazon and more dead malls, an idea that invaded culture from "Gone Girl" to Dan Bell.
If you recall from Pt. 2, CMBS--or commercial mortgage backed securities--are a grab bag of loans to different offices, retail stores, and commercial real estate that you can buy or sell, or bet whether the price of all those leases will be paid off as those spaces do business. Theyβre often tied in with signed leases to these spots. If many of those offices, retail stores, and commercial real estate spots fail, welp then they canβt pay their lease and the entire grab bag (CMBS) might go down. These leases can be made to offices or factories, but they can also be made to retail stores like Tuesday Morning or GameStop.
We also learned before that these loans can be bundled into bigger bundles (think the Jenga towers from "The Big Short") and can be bought, sold, cut up, or even be bet for or bet against (short). We've been looking at CMBX, which bundles many CMBS loans together. (For example, CMBX.6 contains GameStop, and was shorted against by some.) We'll find out who they were in this post.
