History Has Shown That The VMS Eve Usually Fly's 13-15 Business Days Before The Beginning Of A Flight Window

The last time VMS eve flew for a test run was on January 22nd, 2021. The test flight window was then scheduled to start on February 13th, 2021 (15 business days after VMS's practice flight).

Before this, VMS eve had a practice run on November 2nd, 2020, with the flight window scheduled to start on November 19th (13 business days after VMS's practice flight). Recall: because of COVID restrictions, regulations, and lockdown measures, this flight window was scrapped and later set to begin on December 11th.

13 business days from today is Friday, May 14th, 2021.

ALL SYSTEMS GO. WE FLY IN MAY.

Couple of tidbits about VMS Eve I didn't know

I was curious about the ships and learned VMS Eve is named after his mother, and the nose art is a representation of her.

Mrs. Branson served in the Royal Women's Naval Service during WWII and was a touring ballet dancer in Germany after the war. She later became an airline hostess for British South American Airways.

Could she ever have possibly imagined while working in the skies as a hostess that some day a son of hers would be entering space in a craft of his own company's creation? What a story on its own!

"The aircraft was named after Evette Branson, the mother of Richard Branson, Chairman of the Virgin Group. The jet plane has nose art of a blonde woman holding the Virgin Galactic corporate flag. The image is based on how Evette Branson looked when she was younger and is called Galactic Girl." (Wikipedia)

Eve-NG connecting to VM on same device

I am trying to learn some networking and want to connect a Linux VM hosted on the same computer as Eve-ng where both exist on the same PC. I have added a management cloud in Eve-NG that connects to my physical real life network and bridged the Linux VM to that network. But that makes it so the traffic has to go through my real life router.

How do I connect the Linux VM directly to Eve-NG without bridging it to my real network? Both are hosted on the same PC. Here is an example of what I want to do: https://imgur.com/a/YI8DZrl I want VMWare Linux 1/2 to be VMs hosted on my PC(the same PC as Eve-ng). However, I want them to have the default gateway of the virtual routers themselves, instead of being bridged to my actual ISP provided router in my house. How would I do this?

Here are some more questions:

Is it also possible to connect two Eve-NG instances together on completely computer? For example, one instance could theoretically on another network in someone else's house and connect to mine over the internet?

Can I have the physical PC hosting Eve-NG be on the same the network as a router inside Eve-ng? I tried putting my PC on the same subnet as the Eve-NG router interface, but It wouldn't connect. Would I put the Eve-ng VM in host only mode?

I am new to Eve-NG and I thought this subreddit might know.

connecting EVE-NG lab to External VM in GCP

I have been trying to set up an eve-ng server in gpc that lets routers, swtichs, firewalls insdied of eve-ng talk with vmโ€™s running outside eve-ng but in the same gcp network. I can't figure out how to have this external VM connect via one of the cloud networks in eve-ng. I can set this up and have it working in VMware workstatio. I add an extra NIC to both vmโ€™s (eve and Ubuntu) and place them in the same VMnet. Then that interface (eth1 no IP on eve) is attached to a cloud1 network insdie the lab, and i on the ubuntu VM i assigning that nic an ip in , then give the router in eve-ng behind the cloud a IP in that same subnet and they connect fine.

In GCP I have tried to create another network and attach both VMโ€™s (eve-ng & ubuntu) but the interface in gpc get an ip address (not how vmware does it) and will be assigned a name of ens5 instead of eth5. I checked the /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules

But only saw an entry for the ens0 to eth0.

I also tried assigning an ip address to the Pnet9 interfaces that was not in any subnets on gcp 10.100.110.x and created a route in gcp pointing that range to the Instance. This let my ubuntu vm ping that pnet9 interface but not any devices connected to pnet9 with an ip in that subnet. I also maid sure to turn on IP forwarding.

I have created firewall rules on GCP that say any private ipโ€™s can talk on that network to any ip. I've been trying to get this to work for a few weeks now. I really don't want to have to buy more ram and run all this locally. Would love to use gcp ebay has some great vouchers and i can spin up a 16 core 120 gb ram vm for a few bucks and hour. Also maybe this is not the best way to do what i want. I would like to have a vm that i can install tools and interact with devices in the lab (trying to learn some vxlan and ansible)

Thanks!

slow transfer speed between host and guest VM (eve-ng) using sFTP with filezilla?

I'm transferring a 60mb .bin file and I'm getting a consistent 3kb/s, stopping the transfer and restarting it gives a temp boost to 40kb/s.

I don't think this is related to my laptops hardware, it's a brand new XPS w/ an NVMe drive. The VM is only using 15gb of 50gb total so it's not due to storage capacity.
