29847 seconds have passed since I have begun maneuvering on the hull of the Precursor vessel. I have determined, in that time, that this is not an autonomous war machine, but is actively crewed and controlled by what can only be classified as Precursor Era Mantid. In that time I have traveled nearly a thousand miles on the hull, taking care to keep within damaged area in order to avoid detection.
I have passed gun arrays that measured in the miles, each massive nCv cannon the size of a radio-telescope, each one cold and dark, without power. I maneuvered through a crater from a superstring compressor cannon that measured nearly a hundred miles in diameter. The impact was massive, devastating, but not mortal.
My scanners did not detect any way into the massive structure that is this vessel, so I continued on in my journey.
I dedicate 1.34252 seconds to resolving an argument between my 8" howitzer battery and my 155mm artillery systems by muting both over the maintenance channel, leaving them to sulk. Both are solid, dependable systems, with warbois that are effective and precise, but their constant arguments have no place in my current operation.
The fighting over possession of the planet is at a stalemate for the Mantid Precursor Vessel. They cannot use their heavy weapons without destroying the ecosystem and permanently damaging the planet, as well as the fact that the ground-side defensive batteries would take advantage of any flicker on the ship's battlescreens to slam home heavy defensive shells.

You may or may not agree on some of the points I will be making below, but do keep in mind that these are real stories and experiences of NTU undergraduates that I've experienced, or have read/heard about from other undergraduates through word of mouth or through online posts.
The NTU administration has had a reputation amongst students for neglecting undergraduate welfare and experience, even alumni who have graduated in the past can attest to it. The only semblance of welfare we receive is the occasional '10 tips and tricks to deal with covid stress' emails. Whenever students bring up an issue, the response would to outright ignore it, or if you are lucky enough to receive a tone-deaf corporate response with blanket statements without elaborations. I guess that for many students, the biggest gripe we have about the administration is their inability to provide timely, meaningful and actionable communication.
Glaring issues that have been a mainstay in NTU for decades are still in full play today, and I will elaborate on them below in no particular order.
Shuttle bus services
To address the 'it's a privilege not an entitlement' crowd, take a look at this corporate magazine published by NTU, aimed at attracting potential undergraduates. It clearly advertises 'Internal shuttle bus services' as one of the various student services. Shuttle bus services are an entitlement to undergraduates, and the cost of running such services are included in our fees.
Alumni who have graduated over a decade ago can attest to the fact that our campus shuttle buses are inefficient, irregular and underregulated. The number of campus buses are in short supply with irregular bus arrival intervals. We can wait for as short as 5 minutes, or up to 30 minutes with no inbetween. Students over the years have been sending feedback to the school about such irregularities but the same issues are still here after decades. Sure, it's not something that can be solved easily, but I'm pretty sure that it doesn't take decades 9and decades more) to fix them. *For the 'you complain, but what solutions do you have?' crowd, let it be clear that the onus is on NTU to s

But first, a quick primer.
It shouldn’t surprise anyone to know that military vehicle enthusiasts are a thing - you’ve got car enthusiasts, railfans and planespotters. Why should, say, tanks be excluded?
Some are content to read and talk about them with fellow enthusiasts. Some do photography. There’s a lot of overlap with scale modelling. Others go to museums like Bovington to see examples of historical vehicles. And some (exceptionally rich) individuals even purchase and restore old vehicles Here’s a fun fact: The Terminator himself is one of them. Some are in the hobby because they appreciate military history - others just do it because hey, tanks are pretty badass.
Just like in any enthusiast community, the community of military vehicle enthusiasts is diverse, with a number of high-profile names. And just like any other community, not all of these people are high-profile for the right reasons…

There’s a saying that people like to use when talking about success, particularly in business. “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know,” is the adage. This, of course, is in reference to the idea that, even with proper credentials, no one can get a decent start for themself without first having at least decent connections. Taken further, this is also true after the start; a person can logically be expected to have continued success so long as they have the right connections. Some may also argue that it is especially helpful, for example, if those connections happen to be pretty fuckin’ rich.
I’ll admit it. This DD was conceived in the wrong order. That is, I came up with the title first, because it sounded dramatic, and then the idea to sincerely follow through on the idea came later.
