Almost got fired from Universal Studios for telling employees to not speak other languages if your not getting paid for that
This is a older story but my sophomore year of college before Covid, I used to work security at Universal Studios orlando and employees would have a special marker on their name tag that says they speak another language but they would not get paid extra for it. As a security guard I would go all over the parks and I made it a goal to convince these employees to stop because the park would never pay us more for language skills if people are willing to do it for free and I got alot of people to agree and stop. I was eventually pulled into my bosses office with the head of human resources on the phone and was told that this was unacceptable behavior and If I continued I would be fired. I kept doing it but soon after Covid hit and I was never called to return. I loved that job but I don't regret standing up for what I believed in.
