A list of puns related to "United States Soccer Federation"
Introduced: Sponsor: Rep. Matt Gaetz [R-FL1]
This bill is in the first stage of the legislative process. It will typically be considered by committee next.
The comments on this better be a shitstorm. Read the post or don't, I could not care less because fuck you, I'm objectively correct.
Here we go.
Background Information
On International Women's Day (March 8th of 2019), twenty-eight members of the United States Women's National Team (USWNT) filed a lawsuit against the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). This lawsuit, pushed by Megan Rapinoe and Allie Long, sought to demonstrate that USSF "engaged in 'institutionalized gender discrimination' affecting the playersβ pay." The New York Times obtained a copy of this lawsuit, which centrally claimed the following:
>the U.S.S.F. has no legitimate, non-discriminatory reason for this gross disparity in pay, nor can it be explained away by any bona fide seniority, merit or incentive system or any other factor other than sex.
As of today (July 31st of 2019), this lawsuit remains active. As shown above, the lawsuit resides on two claims:
Not only are these claims erroneously misguided, but they are also outright liesβ so incorrect, in fact, that they constitute adequate ground for defamation.
What is Defamation?
>Defamation is a statement that injures a third party's reputation. The tort of defamation includes both libel (written statements) and slander (spoken statements).
>
>To prove... defamation, a plaintiff must show four things: 1) a false statement purporting to be fact; 2) publication or communication of that statement to a third person; 3) fault amounting to at least negligence; and 4) damages, or some harm caused to the person or entity who is the subject of the statement.
As the author of this post, I carry the Burden of Proof. I'll have to demonstrate the following:
Hey guys,
Second try! I figured this would be a good fit for this sub since it's all about cards. For Equal Pay Day (31 March) we initiated a postcard campaign where we donated 1000 postcards to be sent free of charge to the United States Soccer Federation. Val Haskell a passionate soccer fan initially approached us and got us on board to help her bring this campaign to life and raise awareness for Equal Pay.
Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus, it's hard to get the word out about anything not Corona related, so only about half the cards were sent and we still have 500 left. So, we'd like offer this community to take part.
Here's a snipped from our press release that explains the campaign:
Together, Val and MyPostcard created a collection of unique postcards designed for this cause. Everyone can send one of these cards of support, directly to the U.S. Soccer Federation. The cards come with suggested sample text to use, and the mailing address for USSF imprinted on them, simplifying the process. Supporters can visit MyPostcardβs dedicated Equal Pay page to select and send their postcard. The cards can be sent free of charge and there is no need to sign up, neither on the MyPostcard website or on the MyPostcard apps***.***
Hope we can get some cards sent and make an impact! Would love to hear that 1k cards arrived at the United States Soccer Federation demanding Equal Pay.
You thought the silly season ended? Fat fucking chance!
My short bio: I am back down to doing mostly youth games now, but I just completed my 14th season with the whistle. Ask me anything!

Weird!
I have been following the match thread in /r/soccer - FIFA vs. the World
Both the English and Scottish FA have come out stating they want to delay the FIFA Presidential vote and have an outside investigation. Would the USSF ever hop on board?
In order for a delay 3/4 ? of the FA around the world need to agree.
Also it seems outside of the internet that TV sources, at least in the US, do not care one bit about this news. I have yet to hear anything on ESPN. Only source that covered it from my understanding was FOX Soccer and only because they transmit Sky Sports News a couple times a day.
