A list of puns related to "United Airlines Flight 328"
Any recommendations? I can fly anywhere for basically free. Trying to use the flight benefits one more time.
I like it all. Scuba/Hiking/History are my top three if I had list my top activities. Good nightlife is a plus but not necessary.
Where would you recommend to go before the year ends? Budget is relatively open 3-4k ideally for about a week. Flexible with timing I Just need to fly back home before 12/31.
I guess I'm just here to vent. Because I feel like this is so shocking?
So about a month ago I booked a round trip flight from Europe to the US for Christmas through Lufthansa. The flight back (which I'm on right now) would be through United. Both flights gave me the option to submit dietary restriction meal requests, which I did. I requested a gluten free meal on both flights to and from the US.
The flight to the US was with Lufthansa, and they gave me multiple gluten free meals/snacks no problem. However, now I'm returning back to Europe on a flight with United Airlines. The stewardess comes up and offers me chicken or vegetable stir fry. I tell her that I submitted a request for a gluten free meal. She tells me, "We don't do that since COVID. It's chicken or stir fry."
She hands me both the meals for me to read the labels. I can't have either of them, they both have wheat. I hear the guy in the row behind me say he also can't have any of the meals, he has food allergies too.
She gives me a small salad and says "It's couscous and greens." I thank her and ignore it on my tray table. I can't have couscous. It's got gluten.
Eventually, she comes around again and she brings me a plate of a small serving of mashed potatoes and veggies. I thank her, at least she's trying. It's not much of a meal though, and I'm still frustrated that this happened at all. Throughout the rest of the flight, she's been bringing me pretzels and crackers that I've just been tossing into my bag to give to my husband when I get home.
Why let me submit a meal request and ask about my dietary restrictions if that's all for nothing? What's COVID got to do with it? I don't understand how Lufthansa could completely oblige to my meal requests, but United couldn't? And even then, couldn't they have let us know ahead of time, so we could bring snacks and food of our own for the flight?
It's just so frustrating!
I flew on United Airlines today and in their in-flight magazine they had a piece about Arizona wines with focus on Maynard. Sorry if this was posted already, but I didn't see anything.
