A list of puns related to "Ultraviolet light therapy"
If anyone has tried this or has any insight on it let me hear your 2 cents. I'm considering it.
1a. If you choose this trade, you'll be stuck with this until 2031. You will be allowed to see normally for a total of β€ 30 hours a year, including so far into 2022.
2b. you will be able to see the following:
i. a band from 100 to 300 nanometersβultravioletβUVA, UVB, and UVC. Your eyes will not interfere with your vision of such, through things such as absorption (e.g. your eyeballs won't glow as they generally do when exposed to UV radiation). Keep in mind that the only natural source of UV radiation is sunlight.
ii. Yellow is 565 to 590 nanometers in length. You will be able to see only a very narrow band from 557.4 to 557.6 nanometers, though with increased sensitivity.
e.g. If there were 2 glass bowls, one with small yellow pebbles at 557.4 to 557.6 and the other equal amounts of 565, 570, 575, 580, 585, and 590 (kinda orange-yellow to yellow to yellow-green pebbles), the first bowl will appear to you as yellow and the second as a very dark yellow, almost black.
iii. a band from 1500 to 5000 nanometers (1.5 ΞΌm to 5 ΞΌm)βinfrared. You will be capable of seeing thermal images, though probably only hot substances, such as rocket exhaust, molten metal, or fire.
5e. Your perception of color will change. Ultraviolet will appear as blue, regular light as green, and infrared as red. (e.g. depending on concentrations, if you see light and infrared, it will appear as green, green-yellow, yellow, orange, or red.)
I used to play video games for an unhealthy amount of time every day for like 12 years straight.
Suddenly 3 years ago after a day of gaming, I laid down in bed, and immediately became dizzy. I shot up to a sitting position, and felt better. Few.minutes after that, the dizzines came back even when I was sat up right.
I spent probably 3 months almost incapacitated as I was constantly very very dizzy. After 3 months it got better (but did not go away) and I was finally able to seek a professional. Went to the doctor and they said it was BPPV. Spoiler alert: it wasn't. Also every time I look at screens (TV, computer, mobile) the dizzines returns and I can't bare it for more than 5 seconds.
Went to an eye doctor. She looked at my eyes through some device I know nothing about, and then concluded: "Your eyes are sensitive to UV light".
It's been 3 years and I'm a lot better. But I still can't even use a computer. And the only reason I can use my phone is because I have UV blocking glasses, lowest brightness, and eye comfort mode enabled. And even then, it only lessens the dizziness to a level I can tolerate for 30-40 minutes. If the sky is full of white clouds, my eyes hurt and I feel like I'm being blinded by a strong light.
Is this even really a thing?? I've been living with it for 3 years and I still find it hard to believe! LED lights totally mess me up too. I have to use incandescent lightbulbs because being under LED lights also makes me feel the same as looking at a computer screen - dizzy.
Do you any of you kind people have a recommended brand for a therapy/"happy" light for depression/SAD? Also bonus points if you can direct me to one I can buy locally (not crucial tho.) Preferably under $150. Thanks in advance.
Hello, I got from a papulopustular rosacea to redness only ( pretty much) thanks to a mix of this: Azelaic acid once per day Paula's choice moisturizer and cleanser No alcohol No makeup Breastfeeding (?) Sleek pillowcase
Now, I'm looking to further improving the redness and heard about red light therapy. Is there anyone who had a positive experience and how did you go about it? Do you have before and after pics please? Did you buy a home device? Thank you! Have a great day
I got my 2022 Kia Soul almost 3 months ago and have been quite happy with it so far. Just last week I finally got a new pair of eyeglasses and decided to pay extra for the photochromatic lenses that basically change to sunglasses when UV light hits them. Imagine my surprise when I'm driving to work in bright sunlight and my new glasses barely get darker at all. I assumed that maybe they just didn't work as well as I had hoped.
Once I get to work and am walking to the building my glasses start to darken quite a lot and they are pretty much sunglasses by the time I reach the building. The only thing I can figure out is that the windshield must be filtering the UV light that causes the glasses to darken. Do the side windows have similar UV protect too? (I'm probably going to end up buying some cheap prescription sunglasses soon to leave in the car.)
