A list of puns related to "UKG"
To whoever decided it was a great idea to want to shut down Kronos and UKG, I want you to know I hope you have a shitty life man. You have us out here trying to fucking scamper to figure out the times all of our employees worked, jot it down on the worst spreadsheet Iβve ever seen, and make us watch a weeks full of DVR to even ATTEMPT to get the pay for all of us right. Go to hell man. Yβall really had nothing more to do than inconvenience everyone before the holidays? Couldnβt make it so we all worked 120 hours? Couldnβt make it so we made overtime that actually meant something? Couldnβt have made it easy for us? Holidays are already stressful enough, but this just makes it even worse for no reason. Thanks asshole.
To which I thought "you realize that makes you look worse...right?"
Just curious if anyone else is having issues with Kronos if they use it?
Hey all,
I wanted to put some feelers out there for ideas and to share my own strategy with you following the UKG cyber attack affecting multiple UKG products. This is centered specifically around WFC.
I have seen plenty of posts regarding the current state and UKG updates, but not much in the way of helpful information to move forward with processing payroll right before the holidays. I even saw some mention that Comcast has told employees that their "paychecks are on hold" due to the outage which is pretty crazy, and not an option for my organization and I am sure not an option for most.
Our Strategy:
We will be processing our payroll through our Accounts Payable Department.
We are importing all of our employees (currently 800 due to the pandemic - actually a good thing at this point) into Dynamics GP as vendors.
We will use the last 3 pay cycle reports to calculate the average of the employees net pay and will process the average as an invoice in Dynamics.
Payroll checks will then be run for the corresponding invoices. Taxes, FICA, 401K etc will all be trued up following UKGs ability to get back online. This will be a nightmare at best, but it is the only option we have at present since WFC calculates all of this automatically and we currently have no way to do so.
We are also aware that some employees will be paid less than they should be, and some will be paid more. This will also be rectified through payroll later.
In the meantime employees are still punching at clocks, and also filling out a time-in/time-out paper log which will be cross referenced following recovery. Any missed punches will have to be manually entered into Kronos once live.
This strategy will allow us to print checks instead of handwriting, and also pull reports easily from Dynamics afterward by vendor code to easily compile any payroll we process through it.
What are your strategies on getting payroll processed? looking for insight on better ways.
Fun times!
My company has ADP WFN and is implementing Workday for the HR side of things, but keeping ADP WFN to process payroll. Our People team is putting pressure on the Payroll team to switch over to Workday for payroll, but we were not impressed with the payroll demo provided by Workday.
Can any seasoned payroll professionals comment on their experience with Workday? Do you enjoy the system? What are some of the issues you have with Workday? What do you like about Workday? Most of the folks I know that utilize Workday for payroll are not happy with the system and find that it's built with HR in mind and not so much Payroll.
We sat in several demos for UKG and find the interface and system more suitable for Payroll. Can any payroll professionals speak about their experience with UKG? Since we've only done demos for the two products we haven't had the opportunity to test the systems and the sales teams for both Workday and UKG will tell you everything you want to hear in order to sell their product.
Looking to hear reviews from Payroll folks who have experience with either system. We're with ADP WFN now and they are an absolute pain to work with, but we don't want to make the switch and move into something that is worse than ADP WFN.
Thanks for the insight!
Iβm trying to request the end of January off the 28th and itβs telling me the date is out of the request periodβ¦ I thought we had to do it 3 or 2 weeks before did something change?
Did UKG's disaster plan fail? Why aren't they able to have clients back up in days vs weeks (ever)?
Does anyone know what the UKG Private Cloud RTO is? Did they miss it badly or did they have one?
Is Dimensions similar? I understand it wasn't impacted, but how is it's recovery compared to the current problem child at Kronos?
Just saw this on another site :/ hope this doesnt interrupt pay -_-
