A list of puns related to "Trolls (film)"
Hey guys!
I'm trying to remember the name of a film I loved when I was a kid, I'm sure I had it on VHS so I want to say it was a 90s film (I was born in 1994 but can't remember the first year I watched it).
I'm sure it had Rik Mayall as one of the bad trolls but can't find it in any of his film lists online. The only things I remember are they lived underground and someone had a ring that had some kind of laser light but I can't remember where it lead to...
This is all I have unfortunately, hope it's enough!
Camping, cooking traditional foods, and practicing holiday traditions; all give me the same cozy, wood ash and wool vibe.
The more I watch The Matrix Resurrections, the more I actually think it might be my favourite so far. It has no gigantic action sequence built like a choregraphic cathedral as Reloaded had, sure. And itβs clearly not as groundbreaking or mindblowing as the first Matrix was.
But itβs a heartfelt reinterpretation of Orpheus and Eurydice, that had my heart just about to explode many times during the last act. Itβs a thoughtful, layered and fascinating meditation about what a sequel can be, imho.
And it just had me there.
The first Matrix was a pretty plain adaptation of Platoβs cave: the matrix was the cave, human kind was the prisoners, machines were the pupetteers, etc.
This new one is about: "What do you do when the allegory of the cave itself has become one of the stories the pupetteers tell the prisoners with their shadow plays inside the cave? How do you keep on creating something real and authentic when your art, by its very status of commodity inside of a capitalist market, is condemned to become something fake, something futile?"
Thus, Orpheus and Eurydice: the treasure is to be recovered in the underworld⦠the treasure being Trinity, love, truth, authenticity; the Hades being the matrix, the cave, the market, etc.
The moment Trinity looked at Neo, with so much confusion in her eyes and said: Β«Look at me, I canβt be her!Β» and just then as her kids and husband appeared as in a dream: Β«Is this real?Β», it broke my heart. All she was had been made something ridicule; too ridicule to believe in it anymore. That was one of the most sincere, touching things I saw in a movie.
And then, this explosion of hopeβ¦ Lana Wachowski telling us that, no matter how the matrix / the cave / the market eats everything to make it its puppet, thereβs an anomaly it cannot corrupt, and the anomaly is love.
No, really: I love that movie with all my heart!
