A list of puns related to "Three Steps Above Heaven"
Iβd be lying if i said it was my first time rewatching this..... Itβs aged by ten years and it shows but for me that doesnβt really matter as I had only seen this film for the first time 4 or so years ago but itβs crazy to see how drastically the view on the world can change in what is in the grand scheme of things, a very short time. This is one of those films that really brings that to light and for that I think this is in some ways a cultural time capsule.
Itβs essentially a coming of age, romance tale however has some really meaningful messages behind the story. It does well to make the characters feel real as you get to know about some of the supporting characters and get a little glimpse in to some of their situations around the main plot. I found many of the characters to be personally relatable and this is no doubt to do with the perfect casting of at the time, lesser known artists and probably has something to do with the writer bringing this story to life for the third time as it was a remake of a 2004 film which was based of the writerβs successful novel. Third timeβs the charm here I think !
Despite its very basic overview it will play on your heart strings with itβs real & raw undertow, emphasised with a soundtrack which feels as if it were composed for this film. But after all it is a coming of age type film so expect some easy watching humour and melodramatic troubles.
If you donβt speak Spanish itβs well worth watching even if it means reading the subtitles & i can guarantee youβll be looking for the sequel afterwards. The originalβs arenβt bad either but deffo watch them afterwards...
Something unique about the story is that it can be attributed to the reason for why love padlocks started appearing in the early 2000s. While The reasons love padlocks started to appear vary between locations and in many instances are unclear. However, in Rome, the ritual of affixing love padlocks to the bridge Ponte Milvio can be attributed to the 2006 book I Want You by Italian author Federico Mocciam
Gatekeeper: What were the names of the first two humans on earth?
Nun 1: Ooh, that's an easy one. Adam and Eve, of course.
The gates opened and the first nun walked in.
Gatekeeper: Next question: What fruit did Adam and Eve eat?
Nun 2: Ooh, that's an easy one. An apple, obviously.
The gates of heaven opened and the second nun walked in.
Gatekeeper: Final question: What did Eve say to Adam after they had eaten the apple?
Nun 3: Ooh, that's a hard one...
The gates of heaven opened and the nun, slightly taken aback, walked in.
So they enter heaven, and there are ducks all over the place. It is almost impossible not to step on a duck, and although they try their best to avoid them, the first woman accidentally steps on one.
Along comes St. Peter with the ugliest man she ever saw. St. Peter chains them together and says: βYour punishment for stepping on a duck is to spend eternity chained to this man!β
The next day, the second woman accidentally steps on a duck and along comes St. Peter. With him is another extremely ugly man. He chains them together with the same admonishment as for the first woman.
The third woman has observed all this and is very careful where she steps.
She manages to go months without stepping on any ducks, but one day St. Peter comes up to her with the most handsome man she has ever laid eyes on. St. Peter chains them together without saying a word.
The happy woman says: βI wonder what I did to deserve being chained to you for all of eternity?β
The guy says: βI donβt know about you, but I stepped on a duck!β

I read he wrote a lot of his songs lyrics and they are so genial. They are not just about partying and lame teenage drama, they are on a spiritual level above. Just listen to Divine Sorrow,Wake Me Up, You Be Love, Bromance, The Nights... Also the way he gets the perfect artist to pass the songs to us. His songs arent just party songs, they are life lessons, experiences, dreams..
Even his instrumental songs like Heart Upon My Sleeve are genial, what other Dj uses a bass cello? He was an amazing musician, a poet.
It must be Heaven where he came from..
I hate being around people, People let me down, they disappoint me, they are so condescending and inhuman. I just want to live alone away from everyone. Fucking people are so annoying, I hate them. I really wasn't always like this, I was a good kid, but the environment just skull fucked and beat me all the time, reality is a bitch. I don't want to help anyone anymore, I just want to be isolated and away from the world and people. People are just downright disappointing and mean. Yes, this country and the whole fucking place has killed my sense of responsibility to help people, it's pointless, I don't want to be around anyone, I hate being around people, I hate social media, I hate people. I don't want friends, fucking pointless too, I hate it here, I hate being around people.
