Most modern bands take a lot from Jazz, but you don't really see the Sound Chaser, Karn Evil Impression 2, Soft Machine's Third type stuff.
But maybe there is, if you know of any, please share.
Im not 100% sure if this belongs here, but I would like to think that I'm not the only lady who has cats and/or owns a wax machine, and I didnt know where else to talk about this. I woke up this morning to a hot pink puddle of soft wax on my carpet. Stupidly, I tried frantically to pick up handfuls of soft wax with my bare hands.
Then had to clean with wax off my hands, which took about 30 minutes.
I went to get coffee with my (f27) wife (f28) and MIL. My mil suggested I used wax paper and an iron to get up as much wax as I could and go from there.
When I got home, I did just that (minus the iron, because we don't own one, but a cakepan heated in the oven works just as well).
I had some guy friends of ours that we game with weekly do some internet sleuthing to help me figure out how to remove soft body wax out of carpet, and they came through!
Vegetable oil to break down the wax and remove it from the carpet.
Alchohol to remove the stains from the wax and lift some of the oil out of the carpet.
Water and dish soap to remove the oil out of the carpet.

Since commons is closed for renovations, and that ice cream machine is the light of my life, can we please find a way to move in to sage just for the summer.
So, I thoroughly clean the Taylor soft serve machine every week and the first two to three days afterward the fro-yo base spins so creamy and delicious. But come 5ish days later the fro yo becomes icier and icier and less creamy. Is there an explanation for this? I have tweaked the recipe so much to try and fix this issue but I've been able to make it better but not fix it completely.
Recipe: 640g sugar 70g glucose 385 g nfmp 10 g stabilizer 2190 g whole milk 1890g skim milk 4225g whole fat yogurt

My daughters both love cold pasta salad but I have mild arthritis and the chopping aggravates my wrists. I tried a food processor (S shaped blade) and it more or less either made hugely uneven pieces, or if I tried to make them more even, it mushed up the veggies (bell peppers specifically) which turned off both the kids from eating the salad.
I tried a "chopper", a machine you push down on and the swirly blades chop veggies but that was a big fail.
I'm hoping there's some sort of machine that does a good job of chopping/dicing soft veggies like onion and bell peppers into cubes. Bonus if it will cube softer (cheddar) cheese. Any suggestions?
